“Mike told me the same story, so yes.” Hopper sighs deeply. He leans forward in his chair a little, clasping his hands together in contemplation. “This town…it’s always been off, somehow, ever since that Henry kid disappeared. People’d come here and do these electromagnetic readings, say there were things lurking under the town because they were all higher than normal…I don’t know. When you vanished, I just had this…this feeling. This odd feeling that you were still out there. And maybe it was just because of your mom wanting to find you so bad, but I don’t know.” He smiles at Will, then, and it reminds Will of something he may have lost long ago. “You had a lotta people back here looking for you, kid.”
