Senator Shockwave in Windshear’s storyline

As a Shockwave fan I fucking hate how he's presented in season 2. There's some ideas which can be valuable, but still it's wasted potential and feels more like a grab at whatever popular tropes exist from other iterations

The ending, Shockwave's last appearance was an embarrassment. You could've actually done something with it to create another motive that would ABSOLUTELY be what he'd do

Just as him and the remaining Decepticons follow him to wherever, they're stopped by the stupid dome. What the fuck.

INSTEAD, you could have that they narrowly escape being trapped in the dome, or just Shockwave makes it out and he doesn't give a damn about the others (or if he wants to take a look, he transforms and looks at the dome). Looking back at the dome (while driving or whatever) he observes how it traps the titan and prevents it from causing further damage. Tracing the centre of it, his sensors focus on the Malto children far in the distance, and he takes note that their sleeved arms are interlinked. Inferring that it was their combined power that subdued the mobility of the titan, he devises what further use the new artifacts could have if given a greater function

This would link with the previous scene of where he disagrees with Starscream focusing on earth and not thinking of Cybertron, only considering their home planet to be a husk without solid proof. It also links to how he lets the children get away with their share of the shards. Perhaps the Starscream predicted an ambush and told Spitfire to obtain a hostage, or perhaps what happened with Alex was a sudden idea by Spitfire to give them an advantage. Yet the way Shockwave decides not to fire at them as they were leaving says the latter is more likely, and it solidifies that he doesn't care for Starscream's ploys anymore, or taking a full chaotic emberstone would be easier than hunting for shards alone whole theres an opposing team, two if he truly did work alone (working on LOGIC not STRENGTH)

He was fodder, just bad guy number here with all the remaining Decepticon lackeys. None of them are given personality besides an attitude, and even then it's copy and paste from the first season. Dear fuck, what happened.

I've decided to bring my ludicrous idea here

So, Think of kangaroos

Big creatures born with pockets to carry their babies

Then think of Breakdown and Shockwave

Why not

If one day the Allspark just stopped working, or a couple wanted kids that resembled them more

Instead of the impreg bs

When two sparks merge, they create the spark of a baby

The mech carrying the new-forming spark is aware of this and always known of its presence beside theirs

And when the spark is fully formed it either withers away into spark energy in the mech's spark or the mech will get a protoform and introduce the spark the protoform

Then there's a baby transformer

And then, for mech's with big enough casing

Like Breakdown and Shockwave

They can carry a whole protoform inside there

Normally, all Cybertronians have a small casing on their body that they can use to carry little stuff

And then mech's with big casing (that's spacious enough) can carry Sparklings inside it, which ensures the little thing is safe and under watch at a times

And the sparkling will even have a place to grow in its early years until it's too big for the casing. However, it will be old enough to walk on its own and begin basic self functions
