"The man named me..." I finished Ghost Trick recently and god damn Shu Takumi is a master. The story is amazing! So I did a redraw of the painting in the ending, in my style.

"What you will be in the mirror..." I love Tekken 2. Perhaps more than later Tekkens, despite their improved gameplay, Tekken 2's aesthetic is just unmatched. So I wanted to do a tribute to it. Hence, here we are.
This one was a gift, the "el problema" meme made with Lorax in GBC colors. (They have better yellows than NES colors, me thinks) Hence why it's in Spanish. I don't know any Spanish :D Yes, he's holding his own book
You're too late, Spider-Man, weed has been legalized Green Goblin is my favorite comic book character of all time. Here he is in 8 bit, inspired by the TMNT Tournament Fighters style for the NES.
TMNT 2003 is one of my favorite cartoons growing up. (I existed in that odd space where I grew up both with that one and the 87 version so I love them both) In particular, the boundary-pushing season 4 is my favorite, Leonardo's duel with Karai-Shredder is just epic. So I made this stylized screenshot-like of it, as if Konami kept doing NES turtles games way into the 2000s. I intended this for a shadow box, but severely underrestimated how much of a bleh this would be to actually cut. Me hubris...
Norman Osborn is singlehandedly my favorite character of all time. So I drew this massive collage appreciating his various moments and one of the main things I love about him - that he both wins big and loses big.
From bottom left clockwise the references are:

And finally, my background. At first I just drew a cityscape (love them) while listening to synthwave and all that. Then I decided to use the empty black space up there to design a looming dictator king sort of character. So here he is. The King who hates synthwave.
