This was taken after one of my nearly 40 shunt operations. I was in Maine Medical Center for a lot of my childhood for various issues with my shunt. One of those times the doctor came into my room about 2 weeks or so after being admitted. He informed me that as soon as I could sit up without being dizzy I could go home. He also said I should ease into it gradually. I had another idea. I told my parents to watch this I am getting out here today. I proceeded to sit up and lean against the wall. I was so dizzy I wanted to puke but I sat there smiling and told the doctor I was good to go haha. Had a bit of a safe today as I had to see my Neuro about my shunt.....at one point it was stuck on 40 my setting should be 110 after a lot of trying and several xrays later my consultant managed to do it , leaving the poor registrar a bit red faced! I'm just thankful it worked, it frightened the life out of me to have to consider more surgery which means more anaesthetic....no way hose! Yesterday it started snowing and it didn’t stop (they suspect it will be snowing until 3 am). I love this cold snowy ❄️ weather and I’m kinda sad most of it will be gone by tomorrow because it will rain. Went for an evening walk in the forest, enjoying the snow while it lasts. These 3 pictures were taken when it was already dark outside, but because of the snow (and a little bit of adjustment of the lightning) it seems like they were taken with daylight.
