But Hao Chen takes Xuan Chi's side and that changes their attitudes completely. It's hard to play the part of the most talented disciple, but don't show your "superiors" in a bad light. I'm sure Bailin have gotten plenty of practice in the ten years, but it still must be frustrating.

Ling Long is the only one paying attention. Neither Bailin nor Xuan Ji's father and aunt catch this little detail.
Min Yan uses this opportunity to not give Ling Long his precious family heirloom dagger for the first time. Ling Long is not happy about the "loan". How can these children be so attuned to one another and yet so stupid is a mystery.
Ting Nu proves himself to be quite capable of escaping captivity (maybe those chains did serve a purpose)...

This seems to be the first genuine gift Si Feng gives to Xuan Ji. Perhaps a thanks for life saved? If he even knows what happened in the cave... Actually he probably doesn't and he seems quite enamored with her already. This is a genuine gift!

The thing about this show is, the chemistry between the main couple has an almost carnal feeling to it? I remember it from later episodes but it is already present! Not only is there love and attraction, there is desire.
Ting Nu's very bad week continues, which gives Si Feng the opportunity to give his new friends the first taste of moral relativity. Min Yan is the most sceptical one, but he chooses his new friendship over taught rules.

I never thought I will be fascinated by Cheng Yi and become one of his fans one day. But recently I have been watching some TV Series of his, and then getting to know what his charms are. I have to say, his acting is so good! So infectious! Can’t wait to watch his new drama Mysterious Lotus Casebook!
