Hi, when you're not so busy, would you mind writing some headcanons for how Sidon, Revali, and Link (you don't need to do all of them if you don't want to) would act with a sickly s/o? Love your work and here's hoping everything's alright on your end!

Lol I’m good anon, I just caught a bad case of fangirlism for Dragon Age:Origins and a certain warden character. I appreciate the thought though :)

Revali:

Ew, get away.

Don’t get him wrong, he loves you dearly

But as champion, he has to stay in top condition

He can’t afford to catch whatever it is you have.

(Also he’s super germaphobic)

However, if you’re in a really bad state, he’ll step up as personal caretaker

...Sort’ve

You’ll always have an abundance of health elixirs and freshly made stew by your bedside table.

If there’s anything you want, he will just happen to “find it laying around somewhere” on that same day

(Revali, you’re already dating. Why are you being a fucking tsudere!?)

Is the perfect cure for boredom

If you’re too sick to open your eyes, He’ll break out a book and start reading it out loud for you

Contrary to popular belief, Revali’s voice could charm a Hinox

The sarcastic comments, insults and complaining just ruin the effect

The other 5% of the time though, he sounds like a dream

All in all, he’s acting pretty sweet

...Although the fact that he’s using a pair of tongs to hand you stuff kind of dampens the mood

Sidon:

He is the total opposite of Revali

It takes two guards to pry him away from your bedside

“Your Highness please, you have a meeting with-”

“That will have to wait. For now, I refuse to leave my beloveds side while their health’s at risk.”

“But sir-”

Sidon tone will suddenly hardens.

“This is an official order as Prince of Zoras domain. You will stand down and provide no further arguments on the matter, understood?”

Oh shit, Sidon never pulls the authority card

That’s how you know he’s being serious

The guard however, looks more exasperated than anything

“Sir, it’s a cold, not a blight.”

Lying on the bed, you blow your nose as you nod in agreement with the guard

The moment you started sneezing, Sidon immediately put you on bedrest

Honestly, you didn’t feel that bad aside from the cough and stuffed sinuses

A day or two of rest, and you’d be fine

You’ll have to reprimand him to get his (very hot) fish butt in gear

No one’s ever seen Sidon finish his duties so quickly 

He’ll return to your bedside as soon as he’s done for the day

He curls his large form around you and nuzzles into your shoulder

You could almost swear he’s purring

(Not only did you get a loving boyfriend, apparently that also meant adopting a pet puppy shark)

(I’m sorry, but I must...)

(PUPPY SHARK DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-DO-)

Link:

Sorry, your boyfriend isn’ available at the moment

There’s only mommy Link now

Out of the three, Link is hands down the best caretaker

Like Sidon he’ll dote on you, but he’ll react more sensibly to the situation like Revali

Which means, unlike Sidon, he won’t act like you’re at deaths door after catching the cucco pox

He’s  high-key a provider

Anything you need, he has at the ready

There’s also the added bonus with his cooking

Dude can make anything mouth-watering without having it churn your stomache

However, he’ll be strict if he needs to be

(Like, he WILL tape oven mitts over your hands if you don’t stop scratching)

Overall though, he means well 

Links not much of a talker, so he probably won’t read to you like Revali

Once you’re asleep however, he carefully climbs into the bed and lays down beside you

The entire time, he quietly hums a lullaby in your ear

He vaguely recalls his mother singing it to him as a child  

The memory brings a warm smile to his face as he softly continues his mothers song

SidonxReader (Promises Pt1)

Pairing: Prince Sidon x Reader (LoZ:BotW) Genre: Romance???lolwhatelseareukiddinme Summary: The first time Prince Sidon was allowed...no asked to travel further away from his home than ever before. And for no less reason than to find help to save his people from a threat that his father had yet to explain to him! With only a small silver crest, a map and his best friend Link he makes his way to the first temple in order to remind the goddess herself of a long forgotten promise. What he finds there is not what he expected.

You were slumbering in silence. Listening to the whispers of the fairies and the wilds. Of ghosts and dreams. Had you ever yearned for something? Was there a reason to be here? If there had been- you had long forgotten. And so you lay sleeping soundly in your cocoon of forgetting and being forgotten.

Until one day… …the Silence was broken after nearly a hundred years.

 ‚Someone is coming…‘

Forgotten and overgrown. Hidden deep in the wilderness of Hyrule lay the ancient Temple adorned with withered carvings in its stone walls and pillars. It had been long, so long since people had stopped visiting the once proud structure. ‚Wake up…. ‘ You stirred. Faint glowing made your presence in the depth of the ruins known. A light only visible to those touched by the goddess’ blessing. Let me sleep… ‚They are coming! ‘ The energy flowing through your form grew stronger, engulfing you in soft blue light. They were right, someone was coming. You felt their footsteps on the mossy floor of the temples hallways as if it was your own body they touched.  After all, these ruins had once been crafted and built just for you. A place of worship. You slowly sat up and let your feet dangle from the ledge of the statue that was and had been for years and years, your resting place. Your eyes fell upon the visitors that your fairy friends had announced to you- a small Hylian and… a fish out of water, you smiled to yourself. The Hylian was no rare sight to see, you thought to yourself, as you leaned forward looking them up and down with interest. The Zora though- should not be so far from his watery lands. Won’t he dry up and shrivel to death? „I’d never think I’d see such an amazing temple! The architecture must be from hundreds of years ago-„ The large, scaled one exclaimed at which your chest swelled a little with pride. „- but Link, it seems like it’s abandoned. What could there be for us to find here? Are you sure this is the right place?“ You pouted a little, following his gestures to the crumbling stones and nearly fossilized flowers in vases covered with layers upon layers of dust. Abandoned. As much as it hurt you to admit it, the red-scaled Zora was right. You sighed and rested your head against the smooth marble statue of yourself- the only time you had let yourself be seen by a mortal. To get this fancy statue that captured your beauty. It sure was an eye catcher- even the two men stared at it. The young Hylian stayed silent but furrowed his brow slightly. For a second you could have sworn that the boy had looked you in the eye. Nonsense. Mortals like these two shouldn’t be able to spot an ethereal being like you were unless you wanted them to. After All- you were a tear drop of the goddess herself- a child of far superior of descent than a mere Hylian or Zora. Once upon a time, people from far away, from all over Hyrule, had come this way- just to pray to you! As if to prove you right, the boy pulled out a tattered old map from his pocket. He turned and rotated it, studying the paper intently. His comrade walked closer to the statue and you eyed his hands as the sharp nailed fingers slowly traced the shape of its leg. Touching the statue was unusual,( most people in the past had stared in awe and simply left flowers and other gifts on the pedestal)…but you could forgive it this time. „Hm!“ Your attention snapped back to the two standing in front of your ‚altar‘ , as you liked to call it.

The Hylian had stuffed the map back in his pocket, probably deducing that this was indeed the place they intended to be in. He knelt down, rummaging through a small pouch on his belt until he produced a small container of sorts, adorned with shimmering scales and shells, made from probably the finest silver you had seen in your long life. A tribute? A gift? Did these guys come to pray to you for something? You hovered down to get a better look at the silver thing. That ‚Link‘ guy opened the container with quick fingers. Inside were some strange flowers and some colourful sticks. You were still wondering what those where when he quickly scratched one of them across the coarse ground. A bright red light blinded everyone for a second before the flame receded to a smaller size. Pretty. „Beautiful. “ The Zora had also knelt down. His eyes fixated on the dazzling light in his friends hands . „I am glad you agreed to help me- I would have never known what to do with these otherwise- flames and fire aren’t something you see a lot back at home in the Zora’s domain.“ His gaze shifted up tot he even features of the female statue. „ Truly, I see more and more beautiful things the longer we travel. “ You blushed a little, unsure if he was just rambling or if the last comment was directed at the statue for real. However, you did take a good look at the Zora. He had pretty golden eyes. And his face and body looked much more handsome than the crude drawings of children and ancient artists that had made their way to your altar on rare occasions. A statue of him wouldn’t look too bad as well, you surmised.

The three of you know knelt on the floor, with you being at least one head taller than link, but the Zora whose name you hadn’t heard yet still towering over you by quite a bit.

Link lit a another stick, a blue one this time, and then another one in yellow before he sat back, the lights in his hands, looking at his friend expectantly. „Huh? OH! Right- „ The guy with the red scales scooted closer to the small silver chest and took the flowers out of it. The tiny, foreign petals looked lost in his big palm. Link extended his hand with the still burning blue, red and yellow flames while the other one lifted his hand with the flowers in it. They both stood up, with you still on the floor between them, wondering what all the fuss was about. Then, the Zora turned to your statue and raised his voice. „I, Sidon, Prince of the Zora, come today to ask for the goddess to fulfil a promise made 200 years ago. We ask for your help. Please…save the Zora.” Silence. You floated back to your statue, looking down at him and Link. Although, you felt a little tingly in your stomach, you knew nothing would happen. After all- you were not the goddess. And even if it was simple name confusion- you had never made a promise about anything pertaining to Zora people. Not that you knew of. “Will this do? Shouldn’t ….something…happen?” Sidon looked at Link, who in turn looked up to him. The young one gave him a confused look. He was just as puzzled as he was. I am sorry, Prince…you just wasted your time…but I’ll make sure to mention you should the goddess ever bless me with her voice and ear… “Maybe it’s not working…maybe we are too late? No, surely not! This can’t be all there is to it!? Goddess! Hear our plea!” Again, the temple was filled with silence. Sidon stared at the statue. The colourful shades of light tinted the even features of the female, almost as if giving life to the cold stone. He dropped his shoulders, defeated, and closed his fingers around the dried corals in his palm. Maybe everything was too late. His father hadn’t told him what peril was to come over the Zora but he felt it deep in his heart that his father would have not sent him out if the lives of his people depended on it. And he failed him. Failed all of them. A rare rush of anger flashed through the usually calm and collected prince and he firmly balled his hand into a fist. The feeling of guilt was crushing him- and in this moment of desperation, he had crushed the corals in his hand, pulverizing them so not a single one was left intact. He opened his palm, watching the brightly coloured dust fall from his hand like the sand in an hourglass. Sidon sighed, then he straightened his back again. His smile looked a bit unsure at first, but he managed to show his white teeth to the Hylian at his side. “Well, we might not be able to ask Hylia for her help- but the least we can do is to try and protect the Zora ourselves! Will you help me, Link?” The blonde Hylian boy smiled back and nodded. “I knew I could count on you! Wonderful- let’s make haste then and hurry back to the domain of the Zora!” This time, he smiled a real, confident smile. The sticks in Links hand were still burning, albeit a little less shiny than before. The large zora grabbed them from the small warriors hand and blew them out, leaving on the floor of the temple before he turned his back on the statue. Oh great, now they left their trash in your temple… And they left you alone as well… At least you could go back to sleep and forget about them. Especially about the stupidly golden eyes of the fish guy, you decided. Your stomach was still tingling, and something….was starting to smell rather strangely. You were not the only one smelling the strange scent. The Hylian had taken longer to walk out the altar room, with his legs being shorter and all. He turned around a last time, sniffing the air and looking on the floor where the Prince had left the blown out sticks. Only, they weren’t completely blown out. The gleaming sticks started to crackle back to life, spurred on by the coral dust underneath them. Billows of smoke started to fill the room as the crackling sound got louder and louder. Had they set fire to your temple?! The smell was sweet and smoky and strangely salty as well. It made you nauseous and did not in the least help soothe the growing tingling sensation in your stomach. You pressed your eyes shut. “What in Hylia….” even the Fish person had realized that he had set something in motion. But what? You coughed and wheezed- not even being an ethereal being like you were saved you from the dizzy spell that the burning of those strange flowers brought with them.

The fairies flew around you in panic. Something strange was happening here and before you knew it your world was turned upside down; you felt as if a whirlwind had taken you up in its arms, flinging you around and from side to side until it got bored toying with you- whacking you against the cold stone image of yourself with crushing force. The pain was unbearable and unknown to you. Not in the hundreds of year of your life had you ever felt so much hurt and ache in your body. You dared not move for fear of more pain. You didn’t even breathe.

 Wrong. You couldn’t.

You realized with  horror that you could not breath. You wanted to scream, thrash, kick but your body didn’t listen as if it was frozen in place. Goddess…what is happening to me?! You put all of your power and all of your being into one last scream one silent wail before you surely died, or so you thought, when something around you shattered. The death grip on your chest loosened. You could hear and feel it crumbling away all around you as your body freed itself from the cracking prison. Sidon stared in awe at the thick wafts of smoke that slowly vanished in front of his eyes. He still smelled the sweet and salty scent of the burnt corals when he laid eyes upon the room again. Now finally, something had happened. The statue on the pedestal was crumbling away. And inside…

  …was something just as wondrous.

 The sweetest whimper was heard as the figure inside the statue worked their way to free itself from the grasp of the stone it was trapped in. Crumbling rocks scattered everywhere while smooth hands and limbs weakly moved. A final layer of stone and dust fell to the floor. There she was- a perfect copy…or rather the original?...of the statue he had admired before. A slender form with pale skin and alluring curves and silken hair emerged on shaky legs. Specs of glowing marks on her skin; the same colour of her hair; illuminated the immediate air around her. It took the Zora prince not even a split second to get to her when he realized the girl was about to tumble off the pedestal. He was there with two swift steps and caught her in his strong arms. ‘Light as a bubble’, he thought, holding her close to his chest while he waited for her to find her balance. “Why, hello there!” He said with a welcoming smile. The girl perked up at his words. She looked at him, his face, then his arms holding her and then lastly his face again. He kept his smile, waiting for her to say something. “You…” It soon faltered when he noticed the expression on her face change from dumbfounded to angry. “…WHAT IN HYLIA DID YOU DO TO ME?!”

Drunk Revali,Link and Sidon headcannons? (With a S/O that now has to deal with them)

Yes hello, are you the one who ordered a serving of hot shark boi?

If not, too bad. You’re getting one anyway

(Careful, he’s a biter ;))

Get Sidon’s a bit tipsy, and he goes from friendly to flirty so fast

Actually, clingy might be the better word for it

Good luck prying him off of you

Somehow, he’s more affectionate then usual when he’s like this

Is basically a very loving puppy

(Except the puppy has abs and scales)

You also find out that he’s much heavier than a puppy once he passes out on you

Poor sweetheart can’t hold his liquor

You might need help from the guards to carry him to bed

On the bright side, you’ll get to see an adorably flustered Sidon the next morning

(Awww, the rosy blush matches his scales)

Link:

Honestly, drunk Link’s not that different from his usual self

I mean, he’s already a menace sober

It’s hard to outdo the crazy stunts of the Arson King  

One noticeable difference would be that his antics are on a smaller scale

(The lack of focus and impulse control prevents him from doing anything too big)

He still pulls some weird shit, it’s just that his stunts will have smaller repercussions

Like he’ll accidentally burn down a house or two, instead of the entire region

Goes down from pure chaotic energy, to little gremlin mischievous imp

There IS still some chaos though 

No Link, you don’t think Revali needs a haircut. His feathers are supposed to be long. Hold on, why do you have scissors? Sweetie no, he’s asleep- Wait, Link STOP-

That night, Rebaldi was born

Unfortunately, Rebaldi is not pleased once he discovers the new look

*Cue a montage of Link frantically dodging bomb arrows*

(#The true reason he was put in the shrine of resurrection)

Revali:

[Child mode has been activated]

Aw, he’s like a baby

“SILENCE PEASANT!”

...Never mind, he’s still a little shit

Drunk Revali is like a spoiled fluffy boy-child

Unfortunately, it’s not in the cute way

Nope, he’ll be like that kid who’ll refuse to stop kicking his feet as you try to help him remove his pants (Because it was “too hooooott!”)

Once you finally manage too settle down in bed with him, he starts complaining that now it was too cold

So you pull an extra blanket over him

“...Now ‘s too hot again.”

OH FOR HYLIAS SAKE REVALI!

In the end, it’s best to just throw off the blanket and try to ignore your bratty lovers whining for the night

Eventually, a pair of wings will wrap around you body and pull you into a chestful of feathers from behind

You can feel Revali nuzzle his beak into your shoulder

“That’s better...” He slurs. He passes out immediately after

...Okay, maybe he was a little cute like this 

(But only a little)

You still totally intend to tease him in the morning 

You recall some particular photos that were taken with the sheikah slate that night and can’t wait to show him

A very naggy mom

You knew before moving that Revali could be a bit nit picky but Dear Hylia

You weren’t that messy

That sock couldn’t have been on the floor for more then ten minutes, nothing worth throwing a fit over

“Don’t be ridiculous Y/N, this sort of behaviour is completely unsanitary” He uses the tips of his wings to toss the offending piece of fabric at you. “Being at home’s no excuse for neglecting proper hygiene”

....It was a sock

You both eventually learn to compromise overtime

Although you did learn a trick on how to dodge chores

“Y/N, that is NOT how you sweep with a broom.”

“What are you talking about?” *proceeds to wave broom in the air*

“No you’re making it WOrsE-just, just give it here. I’ll do it.”

 Also, he totally wears a headscarf and apron when he’s cleaning

Why? (Because the writer finds the idea hilarious)

He’s like a feathery version of Levi from AoT

Get it? ‘Cause they’re both short

Has the opposite problem of Revali

Instead of nagging about chores, he just does it all

He’s a do-it-all mom

You won’t even get the chance to help

“Hey Link, I’m heading out to buy groceries!”

 Done.

“Oh, well then I guess I can get started on laundry-” 

Finished.

 “...Can I at least-” 

Already taken care of.

Your lack of contribution was starting to get to you

You were his girlfriend, not a guest

LET YOU HELP GODDAMNIT

You’ll need to have a good talk with him about how give-and-take relationships work

He had enough on his plate already as a knight

He can rely on you to help support him, even if it’s just a few house chores

If he doesn’t listen right away, threaten to hide the cookware

That’ll get his attention fast

You both work out a schedule to suit you both

Now he can actually take some time for himself

Just please don’t hide his cooking stuff, ok?

Sidon:

If the other two are moms, then Sidon’s a freaking Grandma

His doting is dialled up to max

If you don’t see each other for more then an hour, he’ll be clinging on to you

“I’m sorry I couldn’t visit sooner Y/N, I promise to make up for the lost time.” Cue aggressive shark cuddles for the next hour

Did-did he forget that you both two lived together? 

it was three hours, not weeks

You even saw him off that morning.

Likes to pile your plate with veggies and protein during meals

“Hylians need to eat these when in order to grow up big and strong, right Love?”

“Sweetie, I’m already in my twenties...”

“Yes, so now’s the best time!” 

As a Zora way past his hundreds, this makes total sense

Goddamn species differences)

Will chase after you with a raincoat if the sky’s even a little cloudy

“You must be more careful darling. Can’t risk getting sick in wet weather”

EVERYTHING HERE WAS WATER!

Enough was enough

Time to show him that you weren’t so delicate, by challenging him to a sparring match, 

Reluctantly, he accepts. But only after privately resolving to go easy on you

That was a big mistake

Within minutes Sidon’s on his back, with you pointing his own trident at his face

“Sidon, honey?” Your voice was falsely sweet. “Aren’t you always saying to never underestimate a foe” 

Ah.

He forgot. You’ve been training with spears since you could walk

“Er-*cough*- quite right Darling.” He sheepishly takes your offered hand and sits up. “It appears  that I was in need of a reminder.”

You give an undignified snort at that. 

Yeah, no shit.

He lightens up considerably after that

Make sure to let him dote on you a little bit though, ok?

Hi! I love ur work ! How about a head canon of Revali, Sidon and Link were they make they s/o cry. Like they were fighting or they said something that hurt their feelings.

Everytime someone says they like my writing I go through two stages; 1. Shocked disbelief 2. Going into a fit of happy child giggling.

Seriously, to everyone who takes the time to read my stuff; TYSM!!

Okay enough gushing, ya’ll came for a head canons!

Characters are ordered from most to least likely to make you cry.

Revali:

I think we all saw this coming.

Best Rito isn’t known as an asshole for nothing, so obviously he topped this list. 

(Hey, first time he ever beat Link at something)

It’s normal for you two to bicker

But there’s one time where it got way out of hand

Now when Revali’s angry, he shoots words out like a machine gun: they’re quick, painful and accurate

(Good luck getting a word in edgewise)

His comments eventually drive you to tears

UNFORTUNATELY, Featherhead here is a hothead

Will be too caught up in the moment

“Oh there’s no need to act childish Y/N,” There’s a mocking bite in his tone “enough with the crocodile tears.”

When you continue sobbing, his anger starts melting away to guilt

Suddenly he’s very aware of what he’s said

He done fucked up

He’s at a loss for what to do

Will mumble something about training and take off, leaving you alone for the rest of the day

(It’s not that he doesn’t care, he’s just worried that he’ll make things worse right now)

Eventually you cry yourself to sleep in the same spot from that afternoon

You wake up the next morning wrapped in a bundle of blankets inside your hammock

Once you’ve managed to untangled yourself, you spot Revali nearby preparing breakfast

He glances up when he hears you approach

Nervously, he slides some fresh cooked omelettes onto a plate and hands it to you without a word

His face looked like he was worried you’d to eat him instead

(And not in the good way)

You both spend a good minute staring at each other, trying to figure out what to say

Revali decides to break the silence first

“I took some time to to reflect on last night’s events. I realize that I......may have gone too far.”

“No shit.” Sadness had morphed into anger overnight. If he wanted your forgiveness, he’ll need to say a lot more than that

Instead of the usual snippy retort, Revali nods “I suppose I earned that”

...Well that’s not the response you were expecting

Apparently he paid a visit to Zelda last night to discuss her recent friendship with Link. 

He wanted to know how she managed to resolve things between them.

Throughout his explanation, his gaze remained trained on the wooden floor 

His feathers begin to fluff up when you don’t respond right away

“I have many talents y/n, but this isn’t one of them. I have little experience in romantic relationships, along with the difficulties that come with it”

“However,” He finally meets your gaze. “I wish to learn. If you are willing to give me a chance, I promise to do my upmost to work on...this.” He gestures between you and him with his wing “What happened last night... I swear that it will never reach that point again.”

And if you allow him to, Revali will make good on his word

Link:

This guy’s mastered the silent treatment

Link’s a quiet guy so he tends to become distanced when he’s angry, rather then yell it all out

You learn this the hard way after a particularly bad argument with him

 Suddenly, he’s acting colder than an ice talus 

No matter what you say, the only response you’ll get is a dismissive grunt 

This goes on for days

The dude is surprisingly good at holding a grudge

However, one night he returns home late and hears faint weeping

He sneaks upstairs and finds you with your back turned to him while you quietly cry yourself to sleep

His heart nearly cracks in two once he catches a glimpse of your tear-stained face

Will quickly leave before he can get caught

Conversations aren’t his thing, and the situation required more than a simple apology

One thing is clear though; he needed to make amends.

There’s a note on your pillow the next morning

Inside it is your boyfriends handwriting, apologizing for his behaviour

Will proceed to list everything he loves about you, from the general things to your little quirks; everything he never says out loud

You did’t even realize you did half of these things 

But Link did

And he loves all of it

At the bottom, he makes you a promise to make up for the last few days

Downstairs, Link’s prepared your favourite dishes

Any of his recent cold behaviour is nowhere to be found

During breakfast, he lets you know that he’s taken the weekend off to spend time with you

That weekend feels like heaven

What Link lacks in words, he makes up for action

He tries to make his voice as soft as possible, cooing words into your ear in an effort to put at ease

“Shh, shh - please don’t cry darling. I am so sorry, I don’t know what came over me.” He rubs small circles on your back to help calm you down. “I swear that won’t happen again.”

Great, now he’s crying too.

Once you’ve both calmed down, you try talking things out again.
