Hating Severus Snape as a fan of the Golden Trio is debatable; hating Severus Snape because you’re a fan of the Marauders is being a classist, bigoted piece of shit.

the amount of times sirius makes “kiss me” or “cuddle with me!” jokes throughout tcotptp before any actual action happens is so funny to me because like hello!!! REMUS, SIRIUS IS NOT JOKING!! like when sirius says “You remember what you do with asses, right? You kiss them.” and then he puckers up his lips?? like remus please wake up he is not joking anymore
Opened tumblr at school, fanart was too dark to see, turned brightness up, got flashed (not complaining)
Sirius didn’t feel genuine affection for Lily, he only cared about her as an extension of James. It wouldn’t have mattered if it had been Lily or a completely different person; his sympathy and attachment weren’t about her as an individual, but rather about the fact that James had chosen her as his partner and Sirius had no choice but to accept it. He knew that if he didn’t like her, his relationship with James would be at risk. I mean, if James and Lily had broken up, Sirius would’ve forgotten about her in two days.
That’s why it’s funny to me when people romanticize their “friendship”, because there was no real friendship. Sirius was James’s friend —in fact, he was obsessed with James— and Lily was just James’s girlfriend. She wasn’t a person in her own right to Sirius, she was an appendage of the guy he was emotionally dependent on. And if maintaining his bond with James meant he had to “love” that girl, then he would.
But honestly, if his cousin Narcissa had ended up with James Potter, Sirius would’ve reacted exactly the same way.
Do you think that James and Sirius were secretly jealous of Severus?
I think James was bothered by Severus being close to Lily (which Rowling herself confirmed), and that’s why he had such a particular hatred for him. As for Sirius, I genuinely think he just saw Snape as easy prey to dehumanize, exactly the way he was taught to by his family for years. But since he couldn’t act on those instincts openly in his social circle without backlash, James’s deep hatred of Severus basically gave him free rein to be an absolute piece of shit without any consequences or moral conflict.
Do you think that if Snirius ever became parents (maybe a girl? Idk) they'd be good?
Like, if Snirius were romantically involved and decided to have a child. Do you think they'd make a decent family?
Being a good father is very relative and depends on many factors. In this case, it depends on the dynamic you establish in your fic and how you portray the characters specifically. On a personal level, I think Severus is someone who could provide a child with discipline and security, and be the one who brings a bit of order and worries about practical matters, while Sirius is more emotionally assertive and the more playful side—the one who’s there for fun things and also more emotionally supportive.
What I do believe is that both of them would do much better as fathers of girls rather than boys, and whoever dares to mess with their little girl is absolutely dead of course.
