I do not even know what a screenshot LP is tbh haha, please educate me!  (before FFXV and pocket edition the only ‘video game’ I’d played since FFIX in 2001 was Candy Crush, I’m p much clueless)

How I feel about this character

Ah, Ignis.  You know when I first got into FFXV, he was my least favorite for a long time?  I think it’s some combination of the hairstyle (which I don’t like), his awkwardly broad shoulders, and his voice actor sounding a lot older than the character is supposed to be.  But then I watched brotherhood, and young!Ignis absolutely won me over, in addition to being way hotter haha.  AND THEN, EPISODE IGNIS.  Oh, episode Ignis.  His absolute devotion to Noctis is such a strong character trait and I love him for it.

All the people I ship romantically with this character

Noctis is the only person I’m really INTO shipping with Ignis, though I’m certainly not AGAINST any other ships for him?  I wasn’t actually into ignoct to begin with, to be honest, but when I started writing a kinkmeme fill that I thought would be short and fun but turned into a 20k epic, I kind of sold myself on the ship in the process.  Episode Ignis absolutely confirmed the exact sort of emotional vibe between them that I’d had in my head was right.

That said, I would happily read Ignis with Prompto, Gladio, Cor, Ardyn, whoever.  There was one memorable fic I read with him and Weskham though I’d have to dig to find the link.  I just don’t think that the Ignis in canon would be as in love with any of those people as he would be with Noct, which is why I ship him with Noct more than the rest of them.

Oh!  And Ravus.  They make a fun pair in ep Ignis and I like to think about what they might have done during the ten years of darkness in Verse 2.

The only thing I’m not really into for Ignis is het ships tbh.  Of all the characters, Ignis is the only one I headcanon as being almost entirely into guys.  That said, Ignis/Ravus/Aranea is a threesome I’m here for and have read and enjoyed on multiple occasions, and I’ve been happy with some Ignis/Noctis/Luna too.  But I can’t see Ignis being only with a woman.

My non-romantic OTP for this character

All the bros, but particularly Prompto and Gladio I suppose.  Really I like the idea of Ignis and Gladio being very close friends because they work together all the time and they’re the only people who have the same type of duty and devotion to Noct.

My unpopular opinion about this character

Oh god okay um.  He’s not a smooth and suave sex god.  This is a dude who calls his glasses “spectacles.”  (At least in English.  I expect he’s a lot more smooth and suave in Japanese.)

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

I wish he had his hair down.  And now he can!  No really though I wish that episode Ignis had had more flashbacks to him and Noct as children together.
