Just let the intro wash over you, picture very cinematic images... then... it hits! and it is so worth it! Most songs that achieve a buildup like this, just loses the energy, but this just is intense and climatic in the most wonderful way! SONG OF THE DAY! -S
Hey there so I just released my first song, I'd skip over this one and check out the other posts of today. However if you are feeling adventuress check it out. -S
Some awesome synth work! The drop isn`t really my thing, but that synth! -S
I couldn't remember why I followed this guy for a really long time... then this happened. HOLY SHIT CHORAL CHANTING AND STUFF AND IT IS JUST REALLY AWESOME! Song of the day -S
How I judge what is worth posting
So I realized that I post, well I post a lot. It also changes genres and quality a lot.
So here is a basic explanation of how I choose what to post, and what is worthy of posting.
1. how popular of an artist it is, if it some electronic artist with 100 fans I'm going to go into it expecting less, and it will be easier to impress me.
2. Genre, the more familiar with the genre I am the harder it is for a track to impress me.
3. rhythm VS melody, Bass heavy tracks are a hard sell generally, just as I have no way of hearing them the way they are meant to be heard, however I can hear a melody the way it is meant to be heard.
4. Mood, some days I'm in a good mood, any half decent track by an unknown or barely known artist will make me happy, and I'll want to share it.
5. How much work I spent finding it, if something pops up on my soundcloud/youtube/twitter/etc feed, it is going to need to be far better then that track I spent 2 hours wading through crap to find. :p
But no matter what I do try to only post tracks that I think are either really good, or the artist has talent and is worth checking out. -S
Yeah this works for song of the day, dem Vocals mixed with the Glitching... Music to my ears. -S
Silkits artist showcase of the week... 1?
Oh cool if you put a question mark in the title people can anwser the "question"... you might not be so bad after all tumblr.
Anyways so I've been mulling over the idea of an artist of the week in my head for a while. How it would work, would me and Yoshi collaborate, how often, etc. Finally I decided to just do it, and if I find enough relatively unknown and talented artists to make it a weekly thing, well that's a bonus!
So with the intro over lets get on to this weeks artist,
Tyler Clark!

In the world of Dubstep, and even more so in the world of Dubstep remixes, it is VERY hard to stand out. There is just so many good tracks being made, so many of the same sounds being used, so many names that differ by one or two characters.

But sometimes you don't need to stand out for being unique but doing what everyone else does, but just doing it better! This guy has a great sense of timing, and wonderful use of all the wobbles and distortion that you expect in a Dubstep track, and it all comes together to provide a lovely package, that might not be unique, but is definitely amazing! -S
