Ok so I have to ask at this point because I might be reading it wrong but, skeptic!Apo au is Pyro in anyway apart of the poly relationship forming because of his weird third thing with Apo that feels like it would bleed over to Cherri and Abolish if given the chance (there is already an ask that confirms that they think Abolish is hot) or no?

Are Apo and Pyro involved? Yes. Platonically? No. Romantically? Also no.

Pyro is schrodinger's polycule member. He's not involved, but he's also not not involved. He's not dating any of them, but Cherri and Abolish aren't dating each other, so clearly that's not mandatory (/j)

I think the best and funniest way to explain it is through how I see their living situations. Abolish has his own apartment that he got partially through the organisation. Cherri has her own apartment. Pyro and Apo share, and have no plans to change this. There is no endgame where silverhellfire all move in together, they would actually dislike living together I think. If anything, Abolish and Cherri become platonic roommates and Apo keeps living with Pyro, because if Abolish and Apo tried to live together they would have a category 5 clutter incident and leave no survivors and they both Know This. (Apo removing the silver from the watchtower made Abolish so mad he had to go to the mines to cool off. they could NOT live together. INCOMPATIBLE!)

Pyro and Apo aren't dating but they ARE stealing each other's clothes and this DOES result in Pyro wearing Abolish's and Cherri's clothing too (because Apo stole it, and then Pyro stole it from her) so from the outside it definitely looks like it. However if asked if they're together Pyro would go "she wishes" and Apo would go "ew. no." and then Pyro would be offended she went "ew" and elbow her in the ribs and get his arm punched.

in conclusion Pyro is in the polycule but his title is "Apo's roommate"

They're just a gang! They care about each other and are trying to protect eachother and maybe they've been pulled into a cult and maybe they're reinforcing that indoctrination to each other but it's fine!! They have each other's back, they'll be there for eachother! R̶i̶g̶h̶t̶?̶ ̶

Their relationship is integral to all three pov’s and developments. And even 200 years later, Drift and Shelby are still visiting his grave every year.

Abolish has to check in on the survivors of Oakhurst every month to document things for the organization. When he visits Apo and Cherri this time, he has a lot of realizations, none of them good ones.

It seems we have had Apo hit Scott with her car once, but what if the Abolish and Cherri get a turn as well. (maybe Apo can have a round 2 in hitting Scott with their car).

The first time Abolish hit Scott with his car was after a particularly frustrating mission. He had spent all week on a mission that should have been completed within less time than that. He was forced to work with someone, and it messed with his usual way of doing things. He had gone to pick up Apo from somewhere, since her car was having problems. Abolish suddenly got a text from the organization telling him they needed him for an urgent mission. As soon as Apo is in the car and buckled up he hurries out of the parking zone. He ends up hitting Scott as he backs out. (Scott had returned from his failed quest for the sword of the knight. He suspected Abolish might have it but he had no idea where Abolish lived. So, he was trying to sneak into the car through the back. He did not manage to get in on time). Apo and Abolish quickly look to see who it is, only to find Scott doing the Family Guy death pose.

The first time Cherri hit Scott with their car was during a late-night drive home with Apo and Abolish. While Apo and Abolish are bickering about something, Cherri notices Scott crossing the road (probably on his way to find a new victim to feed off). She looks around quickly to make sure there are no witnesses or cameras around. They very quickly speed up when Apo is not looking, Abolish probably noticed. Cherri does not stop after they hit him and keeps driving, slowing down a bit. She plays it off as accidentally hitting a speed bump. (Cherri remembers him from the time he tried to abduct her and Apo accidentally hit him with her car. Cherri is still holding a grudge, even after she beat him with a steel chair. She does not let go of things so easily)

Apo and Abolish actually hit Owen with a car, not Scott, but I am fully on board with a 100% vampire-car collision rate.

Abolish backs into Scott on purpose and pretends he didn't see him in the mirror. Apo goes "hey what was that" and Abolish goes "nothing" and keeps reversing.

If Cherri hits him it's probably because she talked with Pyro about Scott not respecting boundaries and biting the fuck out of him after Pyro said no, and she sees him with a bloody mouth.

Cherri: ah. he did it again.

Abolish would notice under normal circumstances however when Apo is around he loses 80% of braincells bc he wants to fuck her so bad. They're arguing about the actual validity of having a silver sword over steel in the back seat and both of them yelp when Cherri hits something.

Apo: what the hell?? this is why I drive

Cherri: sure, I can cuddle with Abolish instead if you'd feel better

suddenly neither Apo nor Abolish are questioning what Cherri hit. they're far too busy being embarrassed. they were not cuddling they were ARGUING (Cherri has committed the perfect crime and gotten to embarrass them both into the bargain, score)

Okay in a matter of less than a day you've completely sold me. Skeptic!Apo never finds out. The occasional frustration with this can be survived and in fact makes it even better

But now I wanna know how Cherri and Abolish interact. Do they meet before or after the Possession Event (tm)? Before or after the subsequent eventual reconciliation? I'm leaning towards them never actually meeting until after all that (though each has heard plenty about the other) (mostly through Apo)

All I know is that Cherri would have the biggest shit-eating grin watching those two interact. Sure, Apo. He annoys the fuck out of you. Sure, you only tolerate him really. You think he has a crush on you (why else would he kiss you out of nowhere?) but so long as he doesn't push again you're not fussed. Sureee. Cherri won't push the topic, but they'll watch with a grin and await their time for a hearty 'I told you so'. They can't wait to tease Apo about this

In terms of Abolish, Cherri clocks pretty quickly that he genuinely feels bad about the whole kiss thing, so as long as Apo's fine, she won't hold onto it. He's nice (a little reserved, sure, but no different than their girlfriend), he is pretty (Pyro—they and Cherri get along great I think— is right), and he clearly cares about and respects Apo. It's honestly comical how they don't at all seem to notice just how similar (and in sync) they can be, particularly when they're deadpan and/or sarcastic

Agreed, I think Cherri doesn't meet Abolish until after it's all hashed out at the very least. She does not introduce herself- wait I have the funniest idea.

Abolish gets tapped for training the new hire and after she does reasonably in the firearms course and surprisingly well in close combat, they start "hanging out" (being sent on missions together) (Apo is Moping while they're both gone)

After quite some time, someone on an op asks how they know each other, Cherri goes "oh he kissed my girlfriend" and Abolish freezes. Did not know this Cherri was that Cherri. She never mentioned Apo. She just liked hearing him talk about Apo, oh god, this is intensely awkward now-

Cherri: this is hilarious. You're so similar oh my god. Apo acts really annoyed but she heard you wanted a bell and got you one the next day? Mhm, sure, you tolerate each other. That's why you're so sad she's not here to annoy you.

the only possible main couple i could ever think of who would get married is doc and owen and even that’s, like……ages in the future (unless maybe pearl and cleo did to see each other in the hospital or something?) but i really want them all at a wedding

abolish is as cool as ever, an image slightly ruined by the fact that apo and cherri are absolute menaces and are not letting him have a break. they secretly coordinated on the best way to raise his blood pressure. they’re stealing as much free food as they can, apo’s helping cherri light a fire for effect, they’re careening around the dance floor (they know how to dance but it’s funnier like this). abolish is yanking them down seconds before they start a cake fight and hissing at them to behave

avid and shelby have literally never been to a fancy event ever and it shows. drift has some experience (for whatever random reason) and she’s quietly teaching them how to act. drift looks very nice in a neat suit, shelby is harnessing positive vibes to look like she belongs, and avid looks like a complete disaster. his hair is messy, his tie isn’t tied properly, his shirt is wrinkled, he’s got dirt on his face. at one point he asks what the cake knife is for and shelby answers, “to stab the maid of honor and best man.” and drift doesn’t know if they’re joking or not

pearl and cleo look gorgeous and put together as usual. they try to enjoy themselves, but end up babysitting avid, shelby, and drift from a distance. cleo sees apo and cherri causing trouble and is about to go start shit, but they catch cherri’s eye and she smiles at them with too many teeth. they decide that’s not their problem today, actually.

pyro knows how to act because he’s a rich kid, but he also attends the apokuna corruption school of stick it to the man whenever possible, so he’s quietly encouraging apo and cherri’s worst intentions and eating as much as possible. they leave early to get high and come back to some shenanigan that’s probably cryptid crew’s fault. abolish thought pyro would be on his best behavior for some reason, but pyro has no problem being a menace as long as he doesn’t get in trouble for it

i really want bloodletting to show up solely for owen to look like a feral forest goblin who hasn’t seen a comb in at least century and legs to look dapper and hot af in a suit. it’s doing something to owen but no one is sure if he’s going to kiss or kill legs

Martyn and Ren. For "tax and living cost benefits," but of course they're going to get married properly, they're doing a whole production and everyone else Will play along Or Else.

Abolish spent fifteen minutes minimum explaining how to act to Apo and Cherri and neither of them were listening. They were texting each other plans on how to maximise appetisers consumed and how to ensure all of Martyn's favourites were gone before he got there. They dance and Apo stumbles and Cherri 'stumbles' to make her feel better and it instantly devolves into "technically the dance moves if you squint" (Abolish Does Not dance with either of them. He's already so frustrated watching that if Apo gets in his face he might try to kiss or hit her and the humiliation from Either of those would kill him on the spot.) (Cherri calls him out on that and it goes Entirely over Apo's head and Abolish decides he's just not going to do any dishes for the next month in petty revenge.)

Drift in her lil dapper suit!! Fuck yes!! Shelby has put together what's... not a wedding guest outfit, but she gets a pass because she looks very cute. Avid was in a nice outfit (one of Drift's) but that was before he climbed two trees trying to rescue a baby bird that was fine the whole time. The best man and the maid of honour have to "get married if the bride and groom run away and get cursed by a witch instead if one shows up" and Drift is 60% sure they're serious.

Pearl isn't in a suit but she's butching it up. It's definitely not a dress, she just doesn't like suits either. Cleo's in a full ballgown and made a comment or two about it to Apo but Cherri a) caught all the implications when Apo did not and b) can play that game too, Cleo. They have so much fun together judging everyone else's fashion choices they almost forget to be bitchy.

Pyro eating as much as possible and sneaking out to get high... your Mind. He and M are found with a joint; Pyro blames M, who's too busy giggling to defend himself, but Ren (who caught them) just demands they pass it. He knocks something over and hides instead of trying to fix it. Abolish thought For Sure Pyro would be reasonable and was so incredibly wrong.

Owen is wearing Louis's clothes, which are a) fine but not Rich Person Clothes, b) two centuries out of date, and c) not actually sized for Owen. It's the first time any of them have seen the doctor out of his lab coat and he's shockingly hot. Owen looms ominously in the corner before swooping out (a wedding is actually Triggering he's just thinking about how much he wanted to marry Louis now) and Legs doesn't follow, he stays inside and mingles with the other guests and gets hit on by M.
