That’s fine, he is an older character we’re just to assume has a long history we’re not privy to. And I can see how if you don’t really care for or don’t play a sylvari it can also seem like you’re forced into this thing w him and the pale tree and you seem just kind of an addon to their story. I love braham too and seeing people get SO angry and saying he should apologize to the commander and he WRONGED the commander like Dude. he’s a teenager who’s complicated mother figure just died can you let him live and have like....flaws

Melisandre is a dark haired woman with magic, moral ambiguousness and a tragic past, right? If that’s the case, then yes, I will like her.

like i dont doubt some of the hatred is motivated by homophobia, but his general self-insert vibes and how everyone adores him for no discernible reason exhausted me

oh I don’t think it’s the only reason at all. It’s kind of the same vibe I get from people who just HATE braham. Idk how you personally feel but I feel like it’s people very invested in the canon commander’s personality, so when people are sometimes more important than them, or who disagree with things they do or are angry with them at any point (braham) people can’t stand it. I don’t particularly like being the Big Hero Center Of Attention in mmos so I found both interesting characters. I don’t know what abt trahearne personally to you feels self-inserty. Having a character who specializes in the main boss seems reasonable to be your partner?
