"The Window" by SilverShine is such a treasure. There are some things about gender roles/stereotypes I don't like or agree with (it was written around 2015.?) but still; it is very well written and the dialogues are so funny.

ITS AWESOME READ!!! Binge it straight for a few days.

Whats interesting is its a decade or so old. Completed and has an interesting plot which makes it an awesome story.

Surrounding Hatake clan and Sakura being pregnant. I think anyone who like Kakasakuwould appreciate it.

I rarely rec any naruto fanfics but I think this one deserves it cuz it really a great one.

Its KakaSaku and set before even the 4th war was published (I suspect.). That the identity for the Rokubi is a birb instead of our “adorkable slug” as said by the author.

There are some questions that wasn’t answered but really Im satisfied and happy with how it ended.

I thank whoever that random guy in twitter who recommended it as their favorite naruto fanfic. Thankyou lots.

idk how to start this lol. under the cut will be rambling about my oc silvershine

silvershine is the redo of my first ever warriors oc, she used to be named spiritpelt and i wanted to keep the name so bad because its really funny and stupid but it just couldnt fit in her story without breaking the immersion for me. i try to be original in my names and i discovered like two years ago that silvershine has been done before (more than once) which makes me want to rip my eyes out but ive grown too attached, so it stays

her story im about to cover was written well over 4 years ago so please be nice... im considering rewriting it entirely but for now i just focus on tidbits and flesh out her relationships (or lack thereof) and use her story as a guideline

silvershine is the second medicine cat of roseclan, whose story is an (exaggerated) cautionary tale on child neglect. silverpaw, as an apprentice, was very connected to starclan and had full faith in them; her pelt used to resemble silverpelt even, hence her prefix. however as she grew older they started to lose their shape and eventually came to look like sharp splotches, also symbolic

the thing with roseclan is that they are very focused on beauty and appearances, and is the main reason for silvershine’s neglect; her clanmates think shes ugly and she doesnt care to groom or look nice, so her clanmates try to scoot her out of public attention to keep up their standards. shes an embarrassment to them, and especially to dawnleaf, the eldest medicine cat and silvershine’s kin (aunt)

silvershine used to be a happy-go-lucky apprentice, but grew to resent her clan for casting her aside and trying to control her body. she had nearly no social life, except for when she met with the other medicine cats at half-moon meetings. her two real friends were circlepaw (working name) of prizeclan (also working name), and her mentor fretwish. circlepaw was her age and they got along well; silverpaw sort of clung to her since she was the only real friend she had, and fretwish was more of a mother to her than her kin. silverpaw loved both of them and used to visit frequently, but when she got her full name she had a lot more work to do and couldnt talk to them outside of those meetings, driving her mental spiral and eventual downfall

at her lowest, the dark forest ivypool’d her and recruited her as an inside man to do their scheming and weakening the clans from within. silvershine did this by thinning out the numbers, until greatpaw from clan 3 kills her

I'm rereading The Window by SilverShine / @silvershiner for the umpteenth time and it remains my favorite KakaSaku fic. It's clever and sexy and fun, not to mention full of some fabulous tropes. Gtg I'm at the part where Kakashi buys Sakura a beautiful dress 👗 and I'm traaaash
