Red Hood and The Outlaws #39
Here are some drawings I did while thinking of potential teams for Jason in the Training Wheels au, I drew these a while ago actually. They've been stuck in my drafts for months (since like...October last year lol) decided to just post before I forget about it again.
When thinking up teams, I used different sorts of criteria. Being close in age, similar upbringings, their relationships to their parental figure/mentors, if they share similar narrative niches in their respective family/teams. Sometimes I get inspired by other peoples ideas for a team too, it's fun to see how different people create so many different teams.
Plus some of these characters never got to be part of kids team of their own, if they did it either didn't last long or ended badly. So I wanted a place for them to just be happy ig.
Anyways I'll post their names under the read more, so this post doesn't get too long.
Headcanon Requests
Sorry for another non-writing post, but I'm also TENTATIVELY taking requests ONLY for headcanons. It will be a basis of if I'm inspired for it or not.
I'm wanting some requests for things like "how would they react to-" or "how do they-"
You can include any number of the following characters that you want. No limits! As far as I'm concerned, you could just tack an "All." onto the end of your comment and I'll get on it. (Mostly because I know some of these boys would likely never get requested and I wanna write for them lolol)
Requests can include these characters:
red hood and the outlaws (2011) issue #38
noah fence but simon/jason is so good like imagine jason mentioning he’s dating a doctor now and bruce being like oh??? and going around all like “why can’t you be like your brother and find yourself a nice respectable doctor to date” everytime any of the meta s/o of the rest of the batkids do any shit and always asking jason to bring simon to the manor ( “i don’t even visit that much and you expect me to bring my boyfriend to this *motions to damian and duke fighting with swords* fucking place? you’re crazy”) and all that shit dads do
until one night during a fight when some fucking big green monster takes down like 10 people at once jason yells “thats my fucking boyfriend!!!!!!!”, and bruce is like I’m Sorry What and jason, completely deadpan says “oh yea, my doctor boyfriend? is also kind of an alien monster sometimes.”
Who Is: Crux?
Crux (real name Simon Amal) first appeared in Red Hood and the Outlaws (2011) written by Scott Lobdell. Not much has been changed in this incarnation, but the character has been fleshed out in an effort to utilize wasted potential. He currently appears in Outlaws!
Full Name: Simon Aamir Amal
Also Known As: Crux
Age: 20
Race: human (genetically modified)
Ethnic and Religious Background: Black and Afghan, Muslim
Nationality: British
Height: 5’8” (alt. 7’6”)
Eyes: brown (alt. gold)
Hair: black
Story So Far: Simon was born in Afghanistan and raised in Bath, England. When he was a teenager, his parents were killed indirectly by Queen Komand’r of Tamaran, who had gone after her sister, Princess Koriand’r. As the sole survivor of the incident, Simon was overcome by survivor’s guilt and depression, which turned into anger toward extraterrestrials. His scientific knowledge gained him a foot in the door at LexCorp, where he secretly built weapons and modified his DNA until he could become the vigilante known as Crux. He used tracking software to hunt down and neutralize extraterrestrials he saw as threats until he was defeated by none other than Princess Koriand’r herself, with the aid of Roy Harper and Jason Todd. Afterward, he was sent to the Department of Extranormal Operations for rehabilitation.
