🤩 CLARITY EYE - MEGA PACK EDIT 👀
🎨 I completely remade my previous conversion from scratch (using @tainoodles PSD file instead of converting her eye textures), because I wanted more freedom in recreating varieties and palettes. However, the basic texture (which is already incredible!) only includes the human form, so I had to recreate EVERYTHING, all textures files, swatches, with all the pupil shapes and supernatural patterns.
Like the last time, with the CLARITY EYES textures I used the Yumedust's sclera (on MTS). Yumedust's eyes are gorgeous, and I used them for many years, I highly recommend them. Even though I wanted a change, I still kept their sclera because I find modern sclera too white and it gives the Sims a strange look… it lacks realism.
🌈 First, I had to re-do the BIG recretion of the 76 original Clarity Eyes in the SORBET-Remix Palette. There still are three versions of them:
🎨 1. Custom ones : completely custom, with a genetic value of 0 (absolut dominant over any other lower color) and not appearing in your townie pool.
🧬 2. Geneticized only : have a genetic value between 2 and 3.5 from dark to lighter color. It means that a darker color will have a more dominant gene than a lighter one. They will not appear in your Townies/NPCs pool, you will have to give them to your sim.
🧬 3. Geneticized/Townified : also have the genetic values, but are enabled for townies et NPCs, meaning that any new generated sim can have one.
⚠️ IMPORTANT : You can only have one version of each color, because the files have the same GUID and may conflict with each other. You can however, mix the types of eyes (e.g having GEN/TOWN version of natural colors and GEN or CUSTOM version of unatural ones)
🎨 I abandoned the textures of @simotonin's eyes, there were too many of them and some of them were redundant with the colors of the Sorbet Remix. I made instead my own palette for a complete set of 50 natural colors, and each and every one of them have a default option for you to make your own default palette. Some nuances are a little too subtle to make a difference on the preview, but look better in the game.
👽 I like to have complete sets, so I also give you 2 complete palettes of Alien Eyes. There is the empty collection with no pupils and the swirled one with a very light swirl pattern. I made CUSTOM versions but also DEFAULT REPLACEMENT versions for each of the 23 colors, if you are interested in. I put the black one as a default in my game, to match maxis aesthetics.
🛸 Here again, for newbies around, you can have only one default replacement for your Maxis alien eyes. You will have to keep the other color.s as custom one.s.
🧜♀️Some modders including the famous @midgethetree have made MERMAID MODS and gameplay options, and now, you have some custom eye colors to add to your fun ! Indeed, i also re-created the Mermaid Clarity Eyes, and made some additionnal colors. I made CUSTOM or Geneticized only versions. The wave pattern is different from @tainoodles' one because I had to redo it completely 🪸
🧜♂️ I don't know if there are a lot of TS2 players who play with Mermaids, and if more colors are needed. If you feel that you are missing essential nuances in your gameplay, please do not hesitate to let me know 🐬
🧛♂️ And yes, I remade the Vampire Clarity Eyes, and extented the palette to have all colors for normal or dark sclera 🦇
⚠️ Unfortunately, I haven't created a default version of these eyes because of how Maxis has organized its files. Vampire eyes (as werewolves, plantsims...) are on the same texture as their skin, and replacing default eyes can create conflicts with any default skin replacement. There are so many vampire skin/overlay replacement options across the community that I wouldn't be able to keep up.
🦇 I personally use @episims' Semi-Transparent Vampire Default because I hate it when my Sims with black, blue, or green skin look like they fell into a pot of white paint. It's also a mod that allows your sims to keep their eye color.
🖼️ NB : I put a PNG file folder for each type of eye. This means you can easily include any texture in your default replacement without having to extract it from a file. There are plenty of tutorials on how to modify/recolor a texture and re-implement it in the game. If you have a very specific default replacement and would like some help adding a Clarity Eye texture into it, you can contact me, and we'll see what we can do.
🎇 As Titania & Mara are showing us, I also made 10 more "fairy like" eye colors, for your gameplay options. They are made with a very light gradient which is meant to give a slightly iridescent appearance. Since they are made in human shapes, I left them geneticez and townified. As mermaid, fairies don't exist as such in the Sims 2 Game but @midgethetree also made an awesome FAIRY MOD to give your game a little more magic🧚♀️
🌕 Here again, I haven't made a default option for these eyes, but the PNG textures files are included. Personally, I use the Correlated Werewolf Mod from @episims. This mod doesn't have eye overlay, unlike maxis skins, so your sims will keep their original eyes while transformed. Look at Ichabod Specter, he looks amazing 🐺
I could have created default replacements for Maxis skins, but let's be honest… few of us still use the game's skins.
🛸 While I was working on the werewolf textures, I answered a question from someone looking for props to create Werecats, and I thought creating a texture for that category might be a good idea. That's why I decided to ask Chloe and Lola Curious to show you what space cats might look like 🐈
🙀 Feel free to adapt it to your gameplay however you like! If you want to use them as replacements for aliens, go ahead ! (However, if you publish these replacements, don't forget to mention their source.)
✨🧞 For the Genie and Bigfoot, I had to do things differently because they are NPCs. This means you can't assign them an eye color when creating a Sim. However, like vampires and werewolves, their eye color texture is on the same skin texture. Since the number of textures is more limited, I decided to create default replacements: one with Maxis skins, and another with a skin based on @lilith-sims skins recolored by Magical Gorl Sandbox (on dreamwidth) that you can see on previews💫
🌙 The genie eyes are mostly made with textures from the Sorbet Remix Palette. The two crescent eyes I made for him only exist for him et don't have custom version.
⚠️ Here again, you can have only one default replacement for these. I tried to label my files carefully, to make it as clear as possible.
Note : the Bigfoot eyes only exist for him, I didn't make custom ones.
🍃 Yes, I didn't create any specific colors for the plantsims. Firstly, because there are enough green and yellow colors in the Sorbet Remix to find what you're looking for. But also because I recommend, once again, a default replacement with semi-transparent overlays that allow your plantsims to keep their original eye colors. I'm using the 3to2 Conversion Fantasyrogue's PlantSim Skin Default, if you are in the middle of reorganizing your replacements by default 🌿
✅ All files have been checked and compress (but not merged), feel free to contact me if you have any problem with it.
