my brain is fried from all this mod conflict solving

so i'm gonna ask here, into the void, hoping for an answer: does a compatibility patch for midge's study all skills from books and pick n mix's driving licence theory book module or an edit for both to work exist? i tried doing loading order but apparently it's either one or the other :(

whoever reads this, thank you in advance, i'm just so tired lol i'm gonna try and fiddle with the bhavs sometime when i have the time or just take out midge's mod. maybe consider this some kind of wish too? lol

Weird NPC turned Playable problem

Having a strange issue that I cant get google to give me relevant responses on, so I'm posting here in case someone can point me in the right direction

I have two NPCs turned playable, Komei McGaw (Former chef) and Ricky Hart (Former bartender) and ever since I made them playable, they have been coming into my other playables houses uninvited.

They walk in and act like they are an invited guest, but they have

a) not been invited

b) not been greeted

c) didn't even ring the doorbell

they just walk in. When I google this problem, I only get results saying that super outgoing sims can do this if they are friends with the residents, and that is definitely not my issue because

I don't think 6 points of outgoing counts as outgoing enough to just enter the house (They need 9 I believe?) but even if it was, Ricky only has 3.

What's more, they sometimes barely know, or DONT even know the sims they are visiting. They don't visit every playable family, but they also don't seem to be visiting the same ones (although I could be remembering wrong, I am going to start writing down incidents)

This ONLY happens with the two of them, and the only thing they both have in common is being former NPCs. Anyone know what's going on, and how to make it stop? It's kind of funny sometimes, but there's nothing that frustrates me and my fiance more than when our family is in chaos and Komei decides to come over and be in the way lmao

Sims 2 Question: is there are a way to set the menu on unowned community lots?

I want to use specific cc foods for certain restaurants. I have tried having a sim purchase the lot, setting the menu, and then sell it. the menu doesn’t “stick” that way.

anything I can do / mods that I can use? 🤔

Question for my fellow Sims 2 players...

On the Sims 2 Default Database, in every age group under Career/Work Outfits, there is this outfit. It has several default replacements which are all lovely.

However, I've just been testing all of the work outfits in the game and this doesn't appear as any of them (not even Medicine).

I'm stumped - what is this outfit for and when does it appear in the game?

Trying to work on a mod for a got struck by lightning memory

Its been really bothering me for some time that there is no memory for getting struck by lightning, especially because they always pee themselves right after and they always remember that so in their memories it looks like they just randomly had an accident when it was because of the lightning.

I think I roughly know how to make a custom memory thanks to this tutorial but instead of it being for the tattered diary, I want the lightning event to actually trigger it on its own.

But I cannot find the getting struck by lightning event/interaction in the objects.package, I don't get how you're meant to find anything ever when you can't search by resource name ugh. So, can anyone give me any general tips on finding things within the objects.package and/or tell me where this blasted struck by lightning bhav is / what its called?

Even better, since I'm so slow, if anyone wants to take this idea and run with it and make this mod before I do, please be my guest.😆

I have managed to break bodyshop I think. Here's my problem. Every time I clone an outfit, it reduces the texture size by one mipmap level. So if the outfit has a 1024x1024 texture, the project file will have a 512x512 bmp in it. Cloning this new file will give me a project file with a 256x256 bmp. Yes I tested, and it will go down to 32x32 but then bodyshop crashes if that one is cloned.

I can still extract and replace the textures at optimal size in SimPE and the packages work in game so it won't stop my progress, but loading the original texture size in the bodyshop project file won't allow it to update the preview or import. It is super annoying not to be able to accurately preview in bodyshop.

I am using the SP09 bodyshop from UC, and I believe the only thing I've done to it is install a window expander (from clean ui maybe?) and brightness fixer. Maybe nostupidexpressions? Seriously basic stuff only.

If you know how I managed to break bodyshop, let me know please? Or if not, feel free to leave me a big L or whatever. It's kind of funny and I am aware :)

Sims 2 Friends

So I downloaded some UI stuff the other day, and in CAS I see this fifth bin for hair colors. Can I add more color bins? Would they be functional genetically? Is this a thing I can do? How do I do it? 

Someone please let me know. I assumed it would be too tricky to play berry sims because of the hair colors bin limitation, but.... let me know.
