Sims 2 Question: is there are a way to set the menu on unowned community lots?

I want to use specific cc foods for certain restaurants. I have tried having a sim purchase the lot, setting the menu, and then sell it. the menu doesn’t “stick” that way.

anything I can do / mods that I can use? 🤔

Decided to try and tweak the sims 3 version to my tastes for CQ (thank you @pixeldolly 😇😊)

🤔However, I have a question, have the build pieces (the spire, fence at the top of the roof, the columns and triangle bit above the entrance) - have they ever been recoloured?🤔

If so, let me know in the replies. Ideally, I'd like to make it a different colour, but worse case I'll keep it like this.

Time running slowly

Does anyone know how to get the flow of time running normally again on a lot? On speed 1, it takes 2-3 seconds for 1 sim minute to pass. Normally 1 sim min is 1 IRL second, right? I’ve noticed this only happens on lots I’ve built myself, not downloaded.

Has anyone had, and fixed, an issue like this? My sims move at normal speed, time just passes so slowly.

A little help with The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection???

Hello! guys i have some issue with the sims 2 ultimate collection.. Recently i decided to open my game to play after some time

And when i opened it all my downloads and neighborhoods were missing... THEY WERE on the sims 2 document folder but they didn’t appear in game... like they were missing... 

So i desided to back up my downloads and re-install the game like i always do when i have any issue. When the game was downloaded again, i opened the game and i had the same issue but this time the document folder had nothing inside... But it existed just empty... 

I re instal once again the game and the same thing... 

Can somebody tell me how to fix this? Thank you! i have the game many years since origin release it with the known code and i use it with the no CD version so origin don’t mess my game up.. But i don’t know what happened...

does anyone have the installer for simpe for ts2? the site gives me a 503 error when i try to go to it. i dont know how to manually install it and my simpe broke..i got UC

Help with meshing [?] issue..

Hi. I need some help with a meshing issue I’ve ran into twice. When I age converted these two bottoms to teen, the mesh for the shoes seem to show skin and won’t change when I try to recolor. 

I’ve tried reconverting them over and over thinking I missed something, but I guess it just doesn’t want to change. Any clue what I did wrong?

Sims 2 Mod Requests?

Putting this out into the ether for a chance... are there any ts2 modders out there or anyone know of modders who take requests? I have so many cool ideas that could be practical to make, but i am not a techy person so have failed at trying to teach myself how to make mods.

Some of my ideas if they peak anyone's interest..

Hostess table hacked object to allow "Plan Menu" to be an option that always shows (with custom foods showing up). Only way to achieve this now is to have a sim buy the restaurant and change the menu as the owner, which is not very convenient. This would be so nice to choose to have only authentic foods at places. I hate if I have a Chinese restaurant and sims can still eat hamburgers, or I have a diner and sims can have lobster thermidor.

"Do Homework With". If you have 2 kids or 2 teens in the same house, they can do their homework together.

Secret Society Lodge in main hood. After sims graduate college, if they were secret society members, they automatically receive a "hobby card" that allows access to a secret lot in the main hood. Would function similarly to the secret hobby lots. If you graduate townies that were in SS in college and are in the main hood bin or homes, they will automatically populate the SS Lodge. Networking and influence have higher gains when at the Lodge, could also have other perks. I think it is such a shame that SS gets totally dropped after they graduate, it is such a fun concept.

More autonomous social phone call outings- but you do not go with your sim. This would be like the travel tours where things happen in the background but you do not go with your sim. I have a ton of ideas for this one and they could all have relationship increase/ decrease and chance cards, a few are:

- Teens and children get invited to another kid or teen friend's house for a birthday party. Pop up option to choose a gift to give from sims inventory. If it is a kid, you will choose one of your parents to go with you, teens go alone.

-Kid sims will call other kids "Do you want to come over to play?". If you parent sim has a best friend who has another kid, that parent can call and ask "Does {name of kid} want to come over to my house for a playdate with {their child}?".

-Teens can ask teen friends "Do you want to come over to hang out. "

-Kids and teens can be invited to sleep over friend's, grandparent's, or cousin's house. Grandparent- "Hi deary, we miss you, would you like to come sleep over tonight? I will make you my special grandma's comfort soup!"

-In the summer kids and teens can be invited to go swimming. In the winter it would be ice skating. Roller skating and bowling could be an random roll for all seasons.

Hello Hannah! I just downloaded Spooky Hill: thank you for the tremendous work! Even the gender prefs of all sims are already set, it is so detailed! Technical question: I have blue flashing of roads in the neighborhood: not lot roads but like SC4 map ones. I only have this issue with Spooky Hill, no other Maxis or custom hood. I do use Criquette default replacements for roads for desert, dirt, lush and concrete. May this be the reason? Thank you

That’s such a strange issue! I did a little digging and found this post here. Do you have the sky box fix installed by any chance? Apparently roads don’t like a certain custom sky for TS2, so it could be that. Double check to see if you do have the sky box mod, that you have the EP6 version and not the Base one.
