17th-century century hoard brimming with 1,000 coins discovered in Poland

A metal detectorist searching for discarded tractor parts on a Polish farm discovered a completely different type of valuable metal: A spectacular hoard of 17th-century coins buried beneath the soil.

The hoard — a vast stash of about 1,000 copper coins — was found in late February near the small village of Zaniówka in eastern Poland, near the borders with Belarus and Ukraine, by a local man, Michał Łotys.

Łotys was using a new metal detector to find spare parts for his sister's tractor; and so when the instrument started beeping in one of the farm's fields, he scraped away a layer of the topsoil. That revealed the coins spilling out of a broken clay "siwak" — a jug in a local style with one handle and a narrow neck. Read more.

It was narrated from 'Aishah that:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Ten things are part of the Fitrah: Trimming the mustache, trimming the nails, washing the joints, letting the beard grow, using the Siwak, rinsing the nose, plucking the armpit hairs, shaving the pubes, and washing with water (after relieving oneself)." Mus'ab bin Shaibah said: "I have forgotten the tenth, unless it was rinsing the mouth."

I thought my all time Sheith fave would be Between the Shadow and the Soul by the same author, but once I read the fist chapter I fell head over heels for SIWAK... It has a lot of elements that I love (Plus demisexual Keith!!) and I got into the story way more easily, Elena has a talent for worldbuilding that sucks you in dramatically easy, check their account with uthermost caution if you’re a busy person, you won’t be able to stop once you start reading her stuff.

Since the action takes place in some sort of magic citadel, I thought It would be fun to sketch a uniform for the novices! So have a Keef rocking it. Heavily inspired in the galaxy garrison’s uniforms itself and priest robes. If it weren’t for how busy I am right now, I would’ve liked to draw something more elaborate rip

Using the Siwak (tooth stick brush)

It is recommended for the fasting person to make use of the Siwak while fasting, at the beginning or the ending of the day.

Aisha رضي الله عنها reported that the prophet صلى اللّه عليه said :

“It (i.e Siwak) is a purification for the mouth and it is a way of seeking Allah’s pleasure.” (Bukhari)

hey, i really loved seal it with a kiss. truly, masterpiece, but could you further explain what shiro is like now that him and kurobasanir are like coexisting (?) in shiro’s body? can he still change forms and edit his appearance like kurobasanir could? can he like do all of the things a greater incubus can, but he’s got the human aspect now? i’ve been thinking about this a lot.

super good question! So, Kurobasanir is more or less dead, the thing is that Shiro’s consciousness was put into his body in a process that was extremely disorienting for Shiro to the point where what little remained of KB’s consciousness merged with Shiro’s and sort of overtook his identity: that’s why Shiro thought he was KB and didn’t initially remember being Shiro. 

The scenes with Shiro’s “trapped” self are the conscious aspect of his mind struggling against the rest of it, the part of his mind that has been twisted into believing he is and has always been KB. So basically: it’s 99% Shiro, but yes he has KB’s powers and shapeshifting as well as a dash of that ~kinda evil but sweet on Keith~ incubus personality >:)
