Thank you for the ask! I had a lot of fun writing this one. It’s short, but sweet ^^

Astronomy, being almost the youngest out of his whole family, tried to act like he wasn't. He just feels like, being the youngest, everyone believes that he is a baby and needs to treat him as such. Because of that, he has decided that he would grow to be the smartest out of his family!

He started to study space, study planets, and everything else that he could ever get his hands on. Like, there was one star that is located in the Scutum-Centaurus spiral arm. It's a pulsar star; a type of star whose spin causes its light to pulse and it's very slow and lazy because sometimes, it'll disappear! It just stops. Then there was another one, called Swift and it got eaten by a black hole.

He would keep going on about stars for the next hour, so let's skip that and get back to the fic.

Astronomy would sometimes even ask Alphys from different worlds about different things, trying to learn even more.

He wanted to know more than just stars and space! That wouldn't impress anyone they would think haha his name is Astronomy, and he likes stars. How original!

It was tiring.

He didn't even really... want to do it sometimes. Sometimes he just wanted to be able to relax, eat weird random food and rest but he couldn't allow himself to do that.

Plus, having to file down his teeth pretty much every day was tiring as well. He got his fathers sharp teeth, and as COOL as some people think that that would be, it was bad for him.

Today was a new day, and he was going over to see his datemate! Y/n. When he first got with them, his siblings enjoyed teasing him. Mostly Night Light and Dwarf.

While they were spending time together, he and Y/n, he had been talking about things that he had learned while they were listening, their hands rested against their cheeks looking amused.

After a little while, he felt his cheeks flush with magic and he turned his head away "I'm... sorry. I am sure y-you um don't want to hear all of this"

"Hey, no, I do! I love hearing things you like to talk about." they scoot closer, resting their head on his lap "You can do anything you set your mind to, and I want you to believe that"

He blinks at that, his cheeks flushing with warmth and turns his head away putting his hand over his face, mumbling for them to be quiet. Oh lord, they really did know how to embarrass him well!

WIPWed: Festering Edition: 6/9/21: The Girl with Flowers in Her Bones

Ok, so...say it with me: Tattoo Artist Flower Shop Hallmark Fantasy AU. 😂 I have nothing beyond notes and the start of an outline for this. I wanted to get it written for June, but then Life and Hey Stupid happened. It started when I saw this post about carving bones, and the picture with the flowers is what sparked things. And at the time I think there was a lot of talk about Tattoo Artist/Flower Shop AUs, and Quick was in the middle of her Hallmark AU, and one thing led to another and now...Quick did the Hallmark Christmas AU. This is supposed to be a Hallmark Wedding AU. 😂 Only Spoopy, bc me.

So the summary: Luka Couffaine just wants to be able to breathe again. A trip back to his sleepy hometown sounds like just the ticket, until his sister-in-law ropes him into working the wedding season at her flower shop. Being surrounded by love and romance is the last thing Luka needs, until he spies the new skelegirl next door with flowers etched into her bones. Together, they might just discover the True Meaning of Love.

No snippets yet as it's just notes/outline, but the gist is below the cut.

Luka is a naga (bc it's a fantasy AU) rock star who, for Reasons (a publicity ex that jaded his view on the world/love), is burnt out and needs to come home. Rose is a nymph who runs a flower shop with her wife Juleka. Wedding Season is their Christmas, and right before it hits their best worker leaves (to get married herself, of course), so she asks Luka if he could help out at the shop. It seems like a great place to lay low and help his favorite girls out, except it keeps throwing romance and twu wuv in his face.

Marinette is a skeleton that owns the tattoo parlor next to Rose and Jueka's flower shop. In life, Marinette was an aspiring fashion designer, but fashion is too painful for her post-death. She became a tattoo artist/bone engraver in death, and that's become her art/outlet now. (Those with skin she inks, but skeletons have these intricate engravings/etchings/carvings on their bones. There's a bunch of backstory here on why it's important to feeling alive, but I'll leave that for the fic. 😘)

Rose immediately goes into Shipper Queen Mode, Juleka wants her to reign herself in, and Luka...despite his best efforts, is entranced. He's never met a skele with so much life before. And Marinette has carved every inch of her bones with flowers: delicate etchings on her skull, cherry blossoms on her ribs, splays of flowers on her arms/legs. The closer they get, he starts to hear the music again, until he's writing a song about her called "The Girl With Flowers In Her Bones".

...so Quick did Christmas. I'm gonna do weddings. Now we need the Hallmark Fall AU, the Hallmark Spring AU, the Hallmark Mysteries AU, and I think either Mal or Knit said they'd do the LIfetime AU? 😂 It was joked that it would become a "Five Times LBSC Did Hallmark (and One Time They Did Lifetime)" thing. 😂

Person A studies ancient bird species, but one day gets a skeleton brought to them of a humanoid bird (person with wings). But before they can properly study it and try to tell if it’s a hoax or not, Person B breaks into their office and reveals they have bird wings while trying to steal the skeleton from Person A, due to the skeleton being proof of their kind’s existence and they need to keep their existence a secret at all costs. But now that Person A has proof, they’re even more bent on studying and learning about these humanoids.
