All Intersex people are valid members of the queer community, because they are queer. Society caters towards people who are perisex, just like it caters to people who are cisgender, heterosexual, and heteroromantic.

Doesn't matter if they identify with the gender that was assigned to them at birth, making them cisgender, and/or they are heterosexual and/or heteroromantic. They are still queer. Just like everyone who falls in LGBTQ+, the world says that they aren't normal. The world says that they are less than.

That is why it is so important to support everyone in the community, regardless of identity. Because if we are alone in this, those who want to hurt us will have it easy. If we don't support each other at all, we lose.

So if anyone says shit that is hateful to ANYONE who is queer, you will be blocked. I won't stand for it.

Jokes aside, the """"interpretations"""" (in quotes because half of this fandom just takes old people stereotypes and slaps them on them) are absolutely lackluster and abhorrent. Just because a person is old, doesn't mean that's their entire self, "they were young once" and all that.

Whenever I see people giving Daleth "Old Person I Could Care Less About" treatments it just gets so frustrating, because what do you mean you see them and see nothing notable??? Nothing of worth??? Nothing at all that could ever peak your interest because how dare they commit the act of being old.

This is all to say, the elders are not human, and from what we can tell don't age like them either. So interpreting Daleth as the conservative old man that likes to torture kids because he's "old" is just???? Stupid???

He isn't 70, he is 7000. He hasn't stopped a civilization from progressing he's seen them rise and fall and knows the signs to look out for. They are full of wisdom but also of life! I mean, did you not watch their cutscene? Witness how they stood tall and used their limited supply of Light to help a new and odd being they do not know? To help guide them? That is not something a grouchy and petty old person does!

This fandom is so damn ageist, man, and I'm tired of people pretending that it isn't or that it's normal to treat older folk that way, the way they push them to the side instead of genuinely working with their stories and potential. Urghr

TLDB = The Last Dragonborn

I feel like a fic, or even a canon event, where TLDB and Lucien getting into a big fight over his BS at Dumzbthar would be very fitting.

I mean, the guy literally went behind the TLDB's back and gave the force that wanted to to kill them and use their bodies as fucked up little puppets, a vessel in which it could eventually do fucked up things. All because he wants the knowledge it has and he thinks he can teach it to be nice while also subsequently enslaving Dumzbthar further.

And the apology he gives is the biggest non-apology of the century, so I think for character development TLDB and Lucien need to either have an argument or have some other friction about this, to be frank, betrayal.

After all, Lucien is essentially building a working relationship with a Daedra that spoke of both TLDB and Lucien like objects and fantasized about -- and likely still imagines -- desecrating TLDB's corpse for his own gain. That whole ordeal was highly disturbing, violating, and traumatizing for the both of them, but especially for TLDB. And during the initial threat, Lucien could have tried to run and leave TLDB to fend for themselves when he learned that Dumzbthar wanted them and not him, or have even done worse, but he didn't. He stood and fought next to his dearest friend.

And as far as threats go, consider that Alduin wanted to eat the souls of the valiant dead and end time, Miraak wanted out of Apocrypha by any means, and Harkon wanted to dominate the world, but Dumzbthar is incredibly personal in its threat which makes him somehow worse for TLDB to deal with.

NOW I DON'T THINK LUCIEN'S A BAD FOLLOWER MOD OR HAS A BAD STORY

In fact, I think he's fantastic and his story feels 3-dimensional because he has flaws. One of those flaws being that he's a massive egg-head and doesn't know how to 1. Make friends. 2. Be a friend. 3. Keep friends. 4. Make amends.

He's a nepo-baby finally stepping out into the world, and he's going to make mistakes and bad choices, but that doesn't make him a bad person or character. He knows that he loves his friends, but it takes experience to understand how his actions can hurt them. He doesn't think that his actions can hurt others, because he likely grew up feeling like he couldn't do much else other than academia, so to be 20-something and finally making his first friends is naturally rough for him.

Him learning to be a friend and make amends with friends is pivotal for his character development, and I'm here for it.

had a realization that's making me insane but we as a fandom weren't angry enough abt sunshades

also, this is entirely related, so I'm dragging them here too, but the voltron fandom was not angry enough abt Shiro's sudden gayness

now, the similarities are these:

both were retconed gay during the second half of their series

both were given their "endgame" romantic interest at the very end of their series (yes I know TOA exists now, but it came out in 2016, 2 years after BOO)

both fandoms became really weird abt those who dared to have shipped the character with a girl (Nico was canonically gay for longer than Shiro was in their respective media, so it's very rare to see those old ships, but they exist all the same)

both fandoms were all too happy to start extreme shipping them with their last minute love interest (the voltron fandom latched to Adam so hard it makes the sunshades seem tame, Curtis way less so)

the differences:

the voltron fandom should've been angry bc Shiro hadn't had any buildup as a gay character (whatever shippers saw notwithstanding), the problem being that if the show had gone with it's original Shallura plans (I saw this in like a commentary on how the show got made), they would've had to make someone else queer (for bait reasons), and they couldn't make hunk queer cause they did the whole thign with Shay, and Pidge was the youngest so like,,, they couldn't make keith queer cause he's the only "white" character and therefore has to be the token straight protag, and if they made Lance queer without makign klance happen I think something would've exploded.

so last minute gay shiro, burry your gays trope included! but oh, don't worry, he gets married to this random two seconds background character in the end!!

the PJO fandom, on the other hand, went through more than half of HOO watching Nico and Jason be like thatTM and then just, acepted will? the same ppl who tell you valdangelo wouldn't happen cause they had only one interaction? those ppl??

what, they just took the 1.5 bit at the VERY END of BOO and ran with it? I know lack of representation was a lot worse back then, but if that thing came out now I don't trust y'all to call it out like you should

like, I remember spending that whole scene being like "who the fuck's this guy" cause I didn't register background characters unless they were plot relevant, and nothing about that scene was all that romantic either

it makes me so angry, and when they announced the show I hoped they'd make it as close to the books as possible bc then maybe more ppl would see it two, but apparently Riordan added to the first series post-fact? and the tv series is already making changes?? and they'll probably work sunshades into it earlier bc of TSATS but gods, even if they don't it might still not happen, bc y'all just settle for scraps.

anyway, sorry for the rant, I jsut wanted to get it off my chest, and sorry if I offended y'all, I just think you deserved better.

Shadow Gens is an amazing game. I love it to death and I have so much fun with it, both playing it for the first time and replaying stuff now that I'm done with the story. I love going back and trying to get better times or trying to find all the emblems. I love just messing around in the White Space hub world.
