Prologue Warnings: Trauma mention, mental illness mention, blood, underage drug use, witnessing death, gore, etc. This is a pretty serious chapter...But i promise (maybe) that this series won't be assss serious as this chapter is
Y/n, or bunny, as people called her, was always quiet. Her eyes shown like the sun, but her mind dreamed like the moon. She preferred the books over the tv. She preferred music over conversations. She preferred boxing over studying. She wasn’t a crazy smart person, but she wasn’t stupid by any means. Her grades were never below C’s, and she had missing assignments but she never failed. She was just never interested in it, and to be honest, she’d rather sit in her room and read.
But when she did go out, she’d get high-anxiety, curl into herself. And if her mother was with her, she’d hold onto her mom. Her gaze would change and bunny would change. She’d want anything cute, pink, tiny. Normal stuff a kid would want, but bunny was a teenager. Her step-father would hound her for it, for the high-anxiety days when her voice would become slightly higher, warmer, and her vocabulary would shrink just a bit. But she wasn’t stupid.
And so she became something else. She started boxing, focusing on that. She’d come home late, knuckles red, swollen, bloody. But she reveled in the pain, it brought her comfort like it used to. It made her stronger, physically and mentally. At age 16, bunny got emancipated, leaving her mother’s house and living with her older brother. “As long as you support yourself, I’ll keep the roof over your head.” Her brother had told her, his voice soft but his eyes detached. She knew he went through it too, but he was stronger.
He was stronger because he didn’t pick up a razor at the age of 11. He was stronger because he didn’t watch the blood trickle down his thigh at 12. He was stronger because he didn’t feel the sting of a fresh wound at 13. And he was stronger because he didn’t try to stop his lungs from feeling air again at 14.
But she was strong too. She survived it. She lived through it. Her heart still pumped, even while her lungs slowly turned white. But she didn’t care, she no longer feared death, nor did she hate life. Because she was graduating, she was free. Free to be whoever and whatever she wanted.
Her brother was driving her to her high school, his black car cheap; but it ran well. He’d had the car since he was a junior in high school, which was years ago. Bunny had been a freshman at the time. She was a sophomore when she moved in with her older brother, Jung.
Bunny, for once in her life, got aux in her brother’s car. She had her playlist on shuffle, random songs popping up. One song, which showed the title on the radio, was ESCAPE (Bang Chan & Hyunjin). She didn’t know the artist, but she liked the song. She was adorned in her blue gown, the top of her cap, written in cursive, said ‘All of the stars have a reason.’
One of her favorite artist was little peep, because no matter the situation—she could listen to him. She didn’t know exactly why, but she knew that she didn’t care for the reason. She no longer cared for the reason unless necessary, she found herself not caring for several things now. But her anxiety didnt stop, she just learned to hide it.
Since she was only 18, she couldn’t technically be vaping. But she did. Her vape, a minty green, was sour apple flavored. She enjoyed the burn in her throat, the dizzy feeling she got for those several seconds as the nicotine entered her blood stream. She got adrenaline from it, especially when in a car. Her brother didn’t care what she did now, she was an adult.
They pulled into the parking lot, her vape being shoved in the glove box. Her manicured hands, payed by her mother, were baby pink—her favorite color. It went well with her natural hair color, dark brown. Her hair fell down to the middle of her back, straight. She didn’t normally straighten her hair, which was wavy but bordered on curls towards the ends, but this was a special occasion. She had a septum piercing, baby pink to match her nails. She didn’t normally wear anything that made her stand out, but she wasn’t insecure—she just didn’t deem it necessary to have that attention. Which, strangely enough, seemed to get her more attention. But she was quiet, so most didnt hate her nor like her—everyone was neutral.
She pulled open the car door, pushing with her arm as the car door squeaked. She slammed the door shut, her black closed-toe heels clicking on the pavement as she made her way into the school. This was her last time here, she had planned to not even come—but her brother and mother insisted she’d regret it if she didn’t. So here she was, sitting in her chair thirty minutes later as she wait for her name to be called.
“Y/n Lang,” Her heart sped up, and took deep breaths, willing herself to hide the anxiety and put on a smile as she stood up. She walked across the stage, shaking hands with the teachers and grabbing her diploma. Her smile fell as soon as the school camera was off her and she was walking down the stairs, off the stage.
The ceremony was over and people were crowding on the field, where the graduation had taken place. Y/n didnt want to be here any longer, but she had to wait for her mom and step-dad. She and her step-dad weren’t…close, but they no longer fought on a regular basis. Whether that was because she moved out or not, she didn’t know.
“Oh, my bunny!” Her mother was always like this, always so happy no matter what Y/n did. A smile made an appearance on bunny’s face, genuine for once. Y/n’s soft voice was quiet when she spoke. “hi momma.”
Her arms went around her mother, who was just a couple inches taller than her. She talked with her mother for a while, occasionally with her step-father. Her brother had stayed in the car after the ceremony, not wanting to interact with anyone that day.
When she got back in the car, her brother was freaking out. She could tell by the way his hands shook subtly, the deep breaths he took and the slight irrational tone he had. She grabbed her vape from the glovebox, letting the toxic air fill her lungs. The vapor gracefully left her mouth, filling the car with a delicious smell. She craved that burn, but she didn’t need it. She enjoyed it, but not all the time.
Her brother sped off, speaking quickly. “Y/n do not, no matter what, leave the hou—“
Her brother didnt finish his sentence. And she realized he never would. The bullet had gone straight through his open mouth as he was talking, blood splattering against the back of his car seat. The blood of her brother had gotten on her too, her eyes wide as her fear sky-rocketed. Her brother had just been shot in front of her, by a man that was now being bit. The man was about 6’3 and gruffy looking, most likely a father. A girl, who looked slightly like him, was the assailant biting his arm and tearing away the flesh. The sight was horrific.
She didn’t have time to process it all, her feet moving without her brain’s permission as she flung open the door. The streets were chaos, people biting, screaming, bleeding, rotting. But bunny’s feet kept moving. She didn’t know where she was going, nor did she care.
She went till the sun set, ran till her feet stopped working. She collapsed on the ground with a heart-wrenching sob, but it was silent. Just like all her cries were. She didn’t know what had happened, and she only became more angered than before.
She was upset at her trauma, not living like normal kids in her area. But she had pure anger towards the world now. Her brother had died, and the blood had splattered on her. She knew she would never see her mother again, and despite the hatred she held for her step-father, she knew she wouldn’t see him again. And the little girl inside her hurt, the side that still loved the man who raised her.
She knew she’d never get to see her real father again, either. But that one hurt a little more. She hadn’t seen him in nearly ten years, and now she never would.
——————————————
Stray kids had just gotten with an interview. They were in America for their recent tour, having just released their new album so they were promoting it. They were in the van, heading back their hotel since they had the rest of the day off. They planned to shower, rest up a bit or whatever it is that they wanted to before going out to eat.
But the news stopped them from everything.
Chan, being the old man he is, was watching the news. “Lock your doors, do not let anyone inside. Even your loved ones,” the tv was on low volume, but he had heard it. It caught his attention, his dark hair in curls since he had just finished showering. “Hey, Lix. Get in here!” He and the Aussie had been sharing a room, the latter messing with the rings he had on his fingers as he came in. “What’s up?”
“Watch,” The oldest patted the spot beside him, his eyes on the screen. “A deadly virus has broke out. The streets are chaos, please do not leave your home. This is a government order. Do. Not. Leave.”
The blonde stared with wide eyes. The news wasn’t giving much detail about anything. His feet hit the carpeted floors softly as he hurried over to the window. Chan was behind him now, on the phone with the other boys. “turn on your tv’s.” The leader told them, voice panicked but calm at the same time.
When Felix opened the curtains, a sharp gasp left his pretty lips. People were straight up eating each other. It looked like something out of a nightmare, or The Walking Dead. “Holy shit. Guys, look outside.” Felix could hear the conversation on Chan’s phone, so he spoke up too.
It only took a few minutes before everyone hurried over to Chan’s room—and right after that there were several screams and windows being broken. Luckily, they were on the top floor. The boys were all dressed, some of the regretting not taking a shower earlier—since they didn’t think they would be able to now. They were all stuck in Chan and Felix’s room.
“What do we do?” Changbin broke the silence as they all sat scattered across the room, Jisung munching on a bag of chips next to Minho.
Chan shook his head, “nothing. It’s not safe.” “What about the tour?” Hyunjin’s voice was quiet, worried. “Obviously it’s cancelled.” Seungmin scoffed, but they could tell he was panicked. Chan nodded in agreement at Seungmin’s words.
“We’ve seen the movies, this is straight fiction—But real.” Felix shook his head on disbelief.
It had been three days since the outbreak, the water was still on but they didn’t know how long it would be. So, they were filling everything they could with water to survive.
The other problem was food. They were running out, which was no surprise since there men. And there’s eight of them. They’d have to leave at some point.
“Shit,” Chan was stressing, the boys were worried and everyone was just…dazed.
And so they set up a plan to leave.
I know I have posted in a while...So here's a new series I'm working on. Hopefully I keep up with it...

hyunjin wore a sleeveless tshirt. his arms were quite muscular, neither too thin nor too big, just what it took. it was nice to look at it.
you were by his side, his eyes focused on the scene that was happening in front of him.
too focused, he didn’t notice that your eyes were fixed on him.
you could take your time watching him, he was beautiful. he was a handsome boy and you were dying to tell him right now, only so he’d know.
without a word you approached him, slipping your arm around his, your head stuck against it.
you could feel his skin against your cheek, and how soft it was.
he didn’t move, letting you do it. you closed your eyes, enjoying the physical contact between the two of you.
you were really surprised how soft his skin could be. it was very nice to feel. slowly your hand slipped around his waist to hide under his tshirt, your hand also coming into contact with his skin.
you loved it, it soothed you, and hyunjin also seemed to like it.
you were rubbing your cheek against his arm, opening your eyes to look at his face. he was always looking in front of him.
« you're beautiful hyunjin. »
you saw him smiling shyly and his arm slipped around your shoulders so that you would be closer.
it was the kind of perfect little moment that counts in life.
"WHAT THE FREAK IS YOUR PROBLEM" someone picked you up "I'm a slytherin Chan, it's what I do" Changbin gave a Smug smirk "YEAH I DON'T GIVE A FREAK"
Changbin just laughed "THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU ANY PERMISSION TO GIVE SOMEONE A FREAKING FAINTING FANCY!!!"
"I can do whatever I want-"
"SHUT YOUR FREAKING BUTT"
Chan turned around, you in his hands and walked away with you "Wake up please" he shook you and your eyes opened slowly " Your okay!" he smiled "I'm bang Chan babygirl, what's your name" he looked kinda cute with his ruffled blond hair "Hwang Y/N" you answered "Cute name, are you a first year?" He asked curiously "Yep"
"Why did you call me that?"
"call you what?"
" babygirl"
"That's what I call all Gryffindor girls"
you nodded awkwardly "Are you a Gryffindor?"
He nodded "Out of curiousity, who have you ment other than changbin?"
"Felix, Jeongin, Jisung, Hyunjins my brother-"
"Oh yeah, he talks about you"
"Minho, Seungmin-"
"Stay away from Seungmin, He's a demon" Chan said quickly "Especially when he is tired"
"Chan what are you doing?" A deep female voice asked. We both turned and saw a short girl with red curly hair "hey babygirl!" Chan said and he hugged her "Is this the new first year?" She asked "yep" Chan answered
"Hello I'm Hwang Y/N" you said and bowed and the girl bowed back "I'm song Yuqi a second year Gryffindor" she smiled, her voice was extremely deep. " Well I got homework to do" you said and she smiled "Bye"
***
"My goodness I spilled it everywhere!" Jeongins booming voice screeched " I'll help clean it up" You said but Felix waved his wand and the mess disappeared "thanks!"
"No problem"
"My Favorite class is coming up!" Felix said and looked at you " What is it?"
