I JUST realized Lord Slorch the Vile has “the gay ear” piercing.

So, I saw this still of Aziraphale as Slorch and my first thought was “Oh! Michael’s got earrings in!”

But then I found this still from another angle, and… no earring in the left ear.

If you’re not familiar, in the 80s and 90s it was widely thought that if a man pierced his right ear only, it meant he was gay. A lot of gay men did actually pierce their right ears too as a way of flagging their sexuality.

So is Lord Slorch the Vile canonically gay? Was this a character choice from Michael? Am I to believe that Crowley DIDN’T immediately clock the piercing the second he saw Aziraphale in that getup? I have so many questions!
