Baby it's bad out there
Caitlin Snow x Mick Rory, First Child AU.
“Hey,” Caitlin grins, bright and warm, as she moves to bend down to wrap Iris in a one armed hug before stepping back to beckon her friend into the house. “I didn’t know you’d be stopping by this early.”
“Of course I was coming over early,” Iris chuckles, as she stepped out of her sandals and drops her purse on the table. “Like I was gonna wait for the party tonight and have to fight Barry, Cisco, Len AND Lisa for the right to hold my new niece.” Both share a warm laugh at her answer.
“Heaven forbid you have to compete to hold the baby,” Caitlin deadpans with a shake of her head. “Well, she’s napping with Mick right now, but come on, you can get your cuddles in now.” She nods behind her, before leading the way to the back of the house, where the family rooms at. “I swear, Mick’s turned into a bit of a cat since we brought her home last week, finding patches of sun so they can nap in them.”
Iris lets out a twinkle of soft laughter, as she follows her friend before pausing and letting out an awe as she sees Mick stretched out on the floor, completely passed out with the baby cuddling on his chest. Caitlin glances back, and makes a motion, as if to say, ‘see? what did I tell you?’
Both women girn softly, though Iris does pull out her phone, snapping a quick pick to send to the rest of their family. As she puts her phone away, she watches as Caitlin pads in, bending over to gently scoop her baby away from her husband. “What did you guys finally name her?”
“This,” Caitlin murmurs, voice soft as she beams down at her baby, as she makes her way back over to Iris before flicking her eyes up to Iris. “This is Ignatius Hayden Snow-Rory.”
Hey guys, just wanted to give a heads up that I'm taking some time off social media for my own mental health, will definitely be back but I need a break. Happy posting x
Nixie’s MF Month: Day Twelve, Caitlin x Mick - Tattoo Shop AU.
Thank you for reminding me what butterflies feel like.
Nixie’s Poly AU Challenge: Day Four, Caitlin x Mick x Iris - Teachers AU.
“Don’t forget I’ll be out of the building all of next Friday.” Caitlin adds with a snap of her fingers, while reaching with her other hand to grab the glass of OJ in front of her.
“Right, right,” Iris nods as she flicks her eyes over their calendar. “You’ve got the field trip with the sixth graders to Star Labs that day.”
“Don’t forget, we got that double date night with Lenny and Red, too,” Mick spoke up from where he was standing in front of the stove flipping the pancakes.
“Plus, dinner with our parents the following night.” Iris adds as she taps her pen against the counter where she’s seated at the breakfast bar.
Mick gave a grunt at the mention of dinner with their parents. “And then Lisa and her mystery girl get here the following weekend, with Wally and his boy for that big family dinner you and Barry have been planning, Flower.”
Nixie’s Poly AU Challenge: Day Nine, Caitlin x Lily x Mick - Space Travel AU.
“What’s the problem, Doc?” Mick rumbles as he guides himself down the hall by holding onto the wall.
"The shelving units in medical seem to have suffered some slight damage from the pilots unique flying during the asteroid field.”
Mick let out a soft huff of laughter at the clear distaste for the hot shot pilot he could hear in Caitlin’s voice.
“Hal wasn’t that bad, Caitlin.”
Both Mick and Caitlin paused in their floating down the hallway to turn back and shoot Lily looks of varying degrees of disbelief.
Nixie’s Rare Pair AU Challenge, Day Twenty Six: SnowWestWave - Summer Camp AU.
“Why am I always doing this,” Mick rumbled out darkly as he continued to drag out the ruined set of bunk beds, only pausing long enough to glare at Iris and Caitlin, both who were wiping down windows and walls, “Shit buy myself?”
Snorting, Caitlin shook her head, “Because Snart and Barry are off trying to be sneaky.” She paused to squat down, so that she could wipe the lower walls down, removing the layer of dust and grime that had built up over the winter months the Camp had been closed up.
“And Nora,” Iris took over as she moved onto the next window, “talked Ray into helping her clean out her assigned cabin,” with a weary smile as she bent over to dip her rag into the bucket before wringing out the excess moister.
“And Oliver is following Nate around like a lost puppy, trying to get into his good graces,” Caitlin added as she sat back on her heels, left hand laying on the wall to steady herself.
