(Batman Adventures #19): This might be the first time in 19-20 issues that i've actually felt any kind of sympathy for Batman. That says something, doesn't it? About the quality of modern day batman characterization, and about the old 90s animated series. Namely, I still don't think Batman: The Animated Series was very good. The Batman (2004) or Batman: The Brave and The Bold were both way better. This show had like four or five good episodes, and that's it.
Here's how I know that: I remember like 15 different episodes from both of those other shows. Yet I only vividly recall four episodes of Batman: The Animated Series: Heart of Ice, Two-Face Part. 1, Mad as a Hatter and Christmas with The Joker. That's it. Those are the only four episodes I remember really liking. There are a few others I vaguely recall, but none of them stuck with me in anywhere near the same way. So I stand by what I said. The later Batman shows are like 20 times better. This comic is still okay, though.
