Thinking about Cormac

It honestly annoys me that Emile was so important to Cormac’s story through Sofie and yet they never meet or talk to each other once. This kid was suppose to be his future brother-in-law and we don’t get one real scene of them together. It feels cruel and like Cormac’s story wasn’t complete. I wanted to see Cormac awkwardly try to be a brother to this human boy. Cormac could have talked with him about Sofie. A lot of closure just never happens. Ugh!

HOFAS side characters that are slept on:

Fury Axtar - Like WTF, she is such as badass character, with this whole hinted Holy Trinity of Sleek Black Bobs thing (Amren, Viper Queen and Fury) and she has been reduced to fetching things for Bryce (drugs, helicopters, guns, ski gear)

Ariadne - where'd she go? 🤷🏼‍♀️

Sofie Renast - SJMaas keeps bringing her up but why? Is she important or not?

Sigrid Fendyr - circumstances (*cough* Ithan) keep getting in the way, but she must be destined for more than just sucking souls

Cooper Renast/Quinlan - just to keep Ember company?

Baxian - Official hand biter and Avallen babysittter. Reluctant flerd wrangler.

I hope that all these characters are just being set up for more exploration in future books (Rhysand in ACOTAR 1) but I'm starting to get the feeling that this is just it, and it's a case of too many side characters, too little time. I mean even Tharion, Ithan and Hypaxia's stories felt a little squashed to me, like there wasn't enough room for them to be main characters.
