You know what I want to see more of? Innocent Deceit. There’s so much potential in that. Like yes the color yellow represents deceit/lies but you know what else it represents? Sunshine, warmth, cowardness, happiness and optimism. Give me a deceit that giggles at literally everything. He canonically likes puns. Give me a Deceit that enjoys dumb jokes and is literally the most ticklish person you’ll ever meet. Give me a Deceit that has the most contagious laugh and laughs when others laugh. Give me a Deceit who uses his silver tongue to always know exactly the right words to comfort someone.

Give me Deceit that is scared of almost everything. Who curls up with Virgil under the bed during lightning storms and screams just as loud as Patton whenever he sees a spider. Give me a Deceit who cannot watch a horror movie without crawling into Roman’s bed later that night because his room was too terrifying. Give me Deceit who will do anything to make others smile after a bad day. Who bakes Patton cookies when his smiles get too fake, buys Logan glow-in-the-dark stars so that they can put up in his room when he’s frustrated. Who helps Remus put stickers on his morning star whenever he needs a distraction. Give me Deceit who combats Virgil’s anxiety with unrelenting optimism. Who always reminds Thomas to look on the brighter side of things. Who’s go-to phrase is, “It’ll be okay.”

Because yellow can mean more than just deceit.
