that is the worlds most overused roman joke and it doesn't even hold true anymore considering that his ego has been utterly and irreperably shattered by the constant judgment and mistreatment and manipulation he's being subjected to by the other sides and the fandom.
roman DESERVES an ego boost that isn't attached to an insult or a backhanded remark or a joke.
i can't even remember the last time roman was genuinely complimented purely because he deserves kindness and not to use him like a pawn, i can't recall that being a thing since fwsa when virgil was sweet to him.
i just can't with how the sanders sides fandom treats roman. he's the ego, but that doesn't mean he's invincible. he deserves compliments. he deserves love from the other sides and the fandom without it being treated like a "oh but don't do it too much or else he'll feel confident!" like maybe roman deserves a little confidence after being torn down for so fucking long??
