I know more than one person who has named their cat Loki like why do people name their cats things that are bound to be mischief

I don't know - cats can be jerks but I'd much rather call mine Cosette or Horatio or Benvolio or Sansa or James Norrington or even Jon Snow, ahah.

My English teacher named her cat Tybalt

See? Tybalt's the exception. It's SO MUCH TROUBLE AND MISCHIEF that it does a full 180 degrees into a pretty perfect and funny name for a cat.
