These sour cream sugar cookies are incredibly soft and flavorful. The addition of sour cream gives them a wonderful texture and a subtle tangy taste. They're perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder. 1/4 teaspoon baking soda. 1/4 teaspoon salt. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened. 1 cup granulated sugar. 1 egg. 1/2 cup sour cream. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.

Instructions: Preheat the oven to 350F 175C and line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. In another bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg, then add the sour cream and vanilla extract. Mix well. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them a couple of inches apart. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
