Solar Eclipse Rebirth Ritual
In one word, a solar eclipse is all about rebirth. If you want something dead to be reborn in your life, now is the perfect time.
STEP 1: Find a photograph of what is dead.
Is it the good relationship you and your sister once had? Find a picture of the two of you from the days when you were closest.
Is it the physical strength you once enjoyed? Find a picture of you running or exercising.
Is it the broken marriage of your parents? That is their relationship, not yours. This spell cannot bring that back.
But if it is a past romance of yours, as long as your intention is reconciliation and not taking them away from another person, then go ahead. Find a picture of you together.
STEP 2: Look upon the sky.
At the exact moment of the eclipse, make sure you are outdoors. Even if it is not visible in your area, you need to be able to gaze at the sky.
Go where nature will surround you. The woods. The forest. A private nook in a park or a garden. Your backyard or front lawn will do too.
STEP 3: Make your plea.
Raise the photograph towards the sky.
You do not need incantations. What you need are your tears.
Speaking in your mother tongue — the one you were first taught as a child, even if it is no longer the one you use today — state your case.
Using unrehearsed words, beg whom you believe to be the God of the Sun and the Goddess of the Moon to restore what is dead to your life.
If you cannot bring yourself to shed tears, they will not hear a word you speak. Your teardrops are the bridge that will connect your wish to the divine’s ears.
STEP 4: Give an offering.
The moment the first step of the rebirth begins — a phone call, an accidental meeting, strange sensations in your body — be it day or night, leave a plate of your favorite meal and a cup of your favorite drink on your terrace or balcony.
Offer them up to the Sun and the Moon to ensure the birth continues.
When you see flies, ants or worms circling your offering, it means the Sun and Moon’s earthly minions have delivered your gift to them.
STEP 5: Wait in faith.
If your faith does not abate, the full rebirth will happen before the next full moon wanes.
