[You ought to eat more solid food.]
Hi all
My teeth are gone
New year's resolution started early. I am learning to eat food everyday instead of filling my stomach with coffee.
Maybe it’ll stick.
1 Corinthians 2:14-3:9 (NIV)
14 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.15 The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, 16 for,
“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”
But we have the mind of Christ.
The Church and Its Leaders
3 Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. 2 I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it. Indeed, you are still not ready. 3 You are still worldly. For since there is jealousy and quarreling among you, are you not worldly? Are you not acting like mere humans? 4 For when one says, “I follow Paul,” and another, “I follow Apollos,” are you not mere human beings?
5 What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task.6 I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. 7 So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. 8 The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. 9 For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.
Solids, continued
Butternut squash: I mashed it with a fork but it still wasn't fine enough for her, she went a little red gagging on tiny bits of it and honestly my heart just stopped and flung itself off a cliff. Will blend then push through a strainer next time.
UPDATE: Made the squash into a really fine, soft paste and she loved it! Kept opening her mouth for more.
Peach: I think it was too sour for her. Am I terrible mum for letting her taste it again to see her scrunch her face up again? And then again?
Tofu mashed up with minced pork: yes but only tiny amounts of it. Happily took 2-3 mouthfuls yesterday and today, then refused to open mouth. As my lady wishes.
Oh! Okay, so I told the doctor about her reaction to eggs and she said to try giving it to her again. If she reacts to it again, then don't offer eggs until she's older. Tbh I'm not going to do this, I'm just going to wait. I have so many foods to introduce to her, and I have to wait like 3 days for each food and I'm sooooo impatient.
Eggs for breakfast today, gwen loves food
