The other day at band camp, I was feverishly sick. I couldn’t miss rehearsal, so I played despite hardly being able to breathe. The tenors had a solo part in one piece. Being section leader, I was given the solo. I was halfway through when I started to choke, the entire band was staring at me and were annoyed that I messed up my solo. I’m humiliated.
