You know, I just realized how much I dislike the video game trope of starting super powerful with most endgame abilities only to then be stripped of it all. I get that it's supposed to be a teaser of what you'll potentially become at the end, but it just feels jarring to me. Especially if it's a game franchise I never played before. You get all these skills that you have no idea how to use, and just when you figure them out, they're gone.
