Someday?
How many deep breaths will I take,
To chase away the sudden ache,
That creeps constantly into my heart,
Every time I want to start?
? How often will I feel like this,
Like my arms are made of lead,
And my thoughts are insistent rapids
Flowing through my head?
♡ What must I do,
To put this feeling to use?
How can I save myself,
From drowning in these shallow depths?
? What must I say
To make this heavy feeling go away,
When I haven’t allowed myself
To ever ask for help?
♡ How many deep breaths will I take,
Before I stop feeling this way;
Like there’s always something I haven’t done?
When will allow myself a break?♡
? How often will I feel like this,
Like something is always amiss?
Will everything ever be okay,
Someday?

Hello, I'm in love with your art and it's so good!! I was wondering about where or how you learned the anatomy for animals? It so good!! Thinks like muscle structure/anatomy and posing. I've been trying to learn this for a while but I'm not exactly sure if it's just a matter practising a heap or something else. Feel free to answer or not I'm not too phased. Take care!! <3
An awful lot of it has been years and years of practice (for me, probably 30 years of it since I’ve been drawing since I could hold a pencil). But there are smart ways to go about it!
Observation skills are the biggest shortcut to understanding anatomy. You can use photos, videos, live subjects, diagrams, skeletons, models, you name it! Use realistic subjects: learning anatomy from stylized art won’t help you understand anatomy much, unless it’s a scientific anatomical breakdown designed to build said observation skills. Handy!
Focusing on the internal anatomy (skeleton and muscles) in addition to overall proportions is a good way to understand what you are seeing when you look at any given animal. There are plenty of books out there that will do the trick, but this is my favorite by far:
You don’t need to over complicate when you draw, break down forms to be simple at first to build confidence. You really don’t need to draw every single muscle (also, not realistic) but focus on the line of the spine, the location and angle of the hips, shoulders, and neck and head, the position of the leg joints. You can break critters down into glorified stick drawings to get an idea of their rough body plans. Gesture drawings are great at capturing the rough idea of an animal without getting caught up on superficial details.
At the end of the day, it comes down to refining those observation skills and applying what you see to your many sketches. Over time things will start to sink in as you learn and you can be more creative with anatomy!
Remember: REFERENCES ARE NOT CHEATING! (However, if you plan to learn via tracing photos/etc, you might feel better not posting these to the internet.)
I’m so desperate to know about your sot au,,,
all i can say at this point tgat this au is so Poggers
i give my credits to joshaya for my dreams of a relationship development , because wow were they the blueprint- i mean three whole seasons until josh admitted he liked maya too.
plus, he never once said he didn’t like her, not once did he say he didn’t want to be with her. he only ever pushed the age difference over both their heads, probably for his sake.
just- give me that kind of development, slow burns like theirs are *chef’s kiss*.
Did you know about the megamind 2 petition? Someone linked it on here.
I remember seeing the link floating around a while back! I haven’t signed it yet, because I am admittedly a little conflicted. I don’t really sign petitions that often; however, it does send a huge message to Dreamworks that the interest is still there, which hopefully counts for something in their market research if they are entertaining the idea of a Megamind 2.
I’ve read on other posts discussing a Megamind sequel that Dreamworks has said no to developing future genre parody movies, citing Shark Tale and Megamind as examples, but does anyone know if the studio explicitly mentioned Megamind in that statement, or is it only inferred from the quote? Because I’d say it’s well beyond a parody. (But that’s a whole other rant.)
I wanna wear a necklace with your name on it.
