i hate sonic the hedgehog so much

i hate him so much ive played all his games

i hate him so much ive made my family watch all the movies with him

i hate him so much i have the lyrics to most of crush 40's songs living rent free in my head

i hate him so much i know literally all the lore about the chaos and the echidna civilization and project shadow and how metals obsession with being the true sonic led to him overthrowing his own creator only for him to lose all his autonomy after and dark and light Gaia and the wisps and how the events of sonic 06 "unhappened"

i hate him so much that ive read both the idw and archie comics and now know all about the xorda and overlanders and mobius and how sonic's dad became a robot, how tails parents got abducted by aliens, how knuckles got microwaved by his dad, how charmy bee got lobotomised, and how most of all this will never be brought up again because they rebooted the comic in a crossover with mega man

i hate him so much that i get really pissed off when someone assumes that green hill and emerald hill are in the same location like one is on south island and the other is on westside island get it fucking right

My own take on Queen Aleena and she rules a closed off nation with advanced technology

the reason mobius is closed off is because they don't want to get colonized and used their resources for evil, basically wakanda lol

I still don't know where it's located but it's on a different dimension (to further avoid getting found) but still being part of earth and even participate in global politics

but the black doom disaster happened and mobius being affected that it's closed off from the outside world completely, maybe it will be back again

I still don't know how the three separated (I still have some plot holes to fix)

mobius basically has technology and environment integrated into their world, my main inspiration is fruitiger aero and solar punk

and I can see an arc where sonic convinces his mom that closing them off isn't the answer, silver is hesitant about sonic even if it means protecting the people

also shadow and silver are related to sonic so they are also princes (I find them cooler than sonia and manic imo)

Will forever find it amusing that naming conventions for Sonic Characters/Mobians has about the same rules as naming your pet.

You’re just as likely to find someone called Chrome, Ninja or Switchboard as you are to find someone called Nigel, Hannah or Tilly.

Naming your babies must be fun because you could literally throw a dart with a blindfold on and anything you land on would be a perfectly valid name for your child. Or you could just make some shit up that sounds cool and call them that. You can name your darling baby a pun if you wanted and it would still be a valid name.

Imagine meeting a highly praised scientist and her name is ‘Professor Cornella (Corn Cob) Cobalt’ or some shit like that.

Idk what the actual canon reality is but the idea that Shadow and Maria had no idea what Mobians were when they were raised in the ark has me rolling

Imagine thinking you’re a man-made mutant, you wake up 50 years in the future to see more mutants and think “woah the humans got busy making a lot of me”, then just out of the blue you hear someone casually mention that Mobians are a distinct alien species that grew independently of human influence and come from their own planet

My own sonic lore ramble pt.2

mobius is actually a thing in my au except it's different from the comics

mobius is actually a kingdom with advanced technology, my main inspiration for the worldbuilding is frutiger aero (the best I can visualize is the one frutiger aero theme city from tower of fantasy)

the main reason I wanted to be inspired by it is because I wanted to be a call back to sonic's original themes of technology and environment, since sonic's environmental message is both two can coexist in harmony and frutiger aero reflects that, and also I'm just a sucker for this design lol

I'm actually planning to bring back some of my old human ver characters like bugs, mickey and spongebob, maybe they all live here, and the freedom fighters are a thing too, but except sally is a noblewoman instead being a princess (this is a crossover au btw)

(tbh it's still not finalized, I have some things I wanna change and rewrite)
