Robin acts as a surragute for Steve and Eddie and Steve and Robin are lavander married so he's allowed in the room after the kid is born they try and place it on her for skin to skin contact but she refuses waved vaugely towards Steve (with his hand still gripped in hers) and tells them that it's his problem now, which the medical people find amusing because yeah 9 months of suffering and untold hours of labor theyd be pretty done with the thing to but argue that skin on skin is needed and good for bonding and all of that so Steve whips his shirt off and demands they give him his kid
Which is how Eddie finds him once all the medical stuff is done and he can sneak in to visit his kid, tears absolutely streaming down Steve's face
I had a dream the other night about living with Robby and abbot and being pregnant and they had to deliver my baby in the house bc of a snowstorm so maybe that could be fun to write!
Hope this what you were looking for!
The snowstorm had come on quickly. The news had reported it only the day before. Barely enough time to get supplies. You had intended on going out to get some groceries yourself, but was quickly denied by your partners.
“Are you crazy? It’s snowing, it’s icy, and you're four days away from your due date!” Jack hissed.
“People are going to be crazy in the store! They’ll knock you around or trip you. No way. We’ll take care of it.” Robby huffed as he pulled on his winter gear.
You didn’t put up any fight. You were really only offering out of politeness. You had no intentions of actually leaving the house. It was just funny to see their reactions.
You found yourself enjoying the snowstorm once everyone was settled. You had plenty of food, and your boys had made it very clear that they would not be going into the ER. Gloria had fought them, but when they brought up the fact that the power could go out and their very pregnant partner would be in danger, she shut up.
“I can’t believe you like this shit.” Robby scoffed as you and Jack sat on the couch watching Love is Blind.
“Don’t be rude. It’s not art, it’s entertainment. So what?” You shot him a glare.
“It’s funny as hell.” Jack chuckled. “They’re all so stupid.”
“God, it is really coming down out there. Can’t even see the road. It’s under like a foot of snow.” Robby peered out the window in the living room.
“Good thing it’s nice and cozy in here.” You smiled.
“Very cozy.” Jack kissed your cheek, his hand resting on your belly.
The air shifted suddenly when your belly tightened under his hand. The pain took the air from your lungs.
“Whoa.” Jack sat up straight.
“What?” Robby whipped around to see the color draining from Jack’s face.
“Relax, it’s just a practice contraction.” You took a deep breath.
“You sure? That felt more intense.” Jack swallowed the thick pit that was catching in his throat.
“I mean, I think so. I’m not an expert.” You shrugged.
“Drink your water.” Robby handed you your water bottle. You gulped down the water, placing it back on the coffee table.
“I’m fine.” You rolled your eyes.
“You brought those supplies in from the car, right?” Robby asked.
“It’s in the hall closet. Got a full BOA kit in there.” Jack nodded.
“You two are so dramatic-” You were cut off by another pain wrapping around you.
“What was that about it being practice contractions?” Jack cocked an eyebrow.
“Unhelpful!” You seethed.
“You’re right, I’m sorry.” Jack said, rubbing your back.
“Was that another contraction!?” Robby called from the hall.
“Yeah!” Jack called back. You could hear cursing coming from the hallway.
“The storm is only supposed to last a few more hours. This is going to take ages. I’m not worried.” You sighed, leaning back against the couch.
“First babies usually like to take their time.” Jack agreed. You could see the tension in his shoulders. As hard as he tried to spare you from his anxiety, you could always see right through him.
Robby came back into the living room with an armful of supplies. He spread them out over the coffee table. He took a mental inventory of what was in front of him.
“Oh. Towels.” He scoffed at himself as he shuffled back to the hall.
“Fuck. Roads are closed. No plows out yet.” Jack mumbled to himself.
“Hey, this isn’t helping me right now.” You told him as the nerves set in.
“I’m sorry, Honey. I’m just trying to be ready.” Jack turned to face you, pulling your focus back to him. “You have two emergency medicine attendings who have delivered countless babies, ready for anything. We’re going to get through this.”
“I believe you.” You sighed, your head falling back onto the back of the couch.
“The storm will end in a few hours, and we’ll get you to the hospital and get you that epidural. I prom-” Jack was cut off by your groans of pain. He sat up, worry etched onto his face. Robby came rushing back in.
“Another one?” He looked over at Jack with wide eyes.
“Yeah.” Jack nodded as he reached for his phone.
“Ugh! Why is it so intense so early!?” You cried.
“Um, it’s probably just more intense compared to the practice contractions,” Robby said as he quickly went through their supplies.
“Fuck, my back is killing me.” You whined as you stood up. You stretched out your back when you felt the warm, wet trickle down your legs. You gasped.
“Honey?” Jack looked up at you.
“I-I think my water just broke.” You stuttered.
Jack and Robby looked at each other before jumping into action.
“Fuck, the snow is going crazy.” Robby cursed as he peered out the window.
“Hi, this is Dr. Jack Abbot. My partner is in labor and we need an ambulance.” Jack tried to keep his voice even as he spoke on the phone.
“Oh God!” You groaned, grabbing onto the arm of the couch.
“It’s okay, you’re okay.” Robby rushed over, rubbing your back and trying to keep you calm.
“Wha-No! I need an ambulance! It’s precipitous labor! You-That’s bullshit! Fucking useless!” Jack threw his phone onto the coffee table.
“Jack, what the fuck?” Robby barked.
“No one has any rigs in service. They can’t send them out in the weather. They said they have to prioritize life-threatening emergencies. Imminent was the word she used.” Jack growled.
“What the fuck is precipitous labor!?” You hissed.
“Extremely fast labor. It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you or the baby. It just means your body is very ready to not be pregnant.” Jack brushed the sweaty hair from your face.
“Great!” You growled. “Get me out of these nasty sweatpants.” You whined as you untied the drawstring. Robby helped you out of your soiled pants.
“Do you want-”
“I’m so fucking warm! Get everything off!” You were panicking a little as you tore your shirt off.
“Okay, whatever you need.” Jack helped pull the shirt from you.
“Ugh! God!” You cried, doubling over. Jack and Robby were on either side of you, holding you upright.
“You’re doing great, Sweetheart. Focus on your breaths.” Robby hummed, rubbing firm circles on your back.
“When was the last time you delivered a baby?” You looked up at them with tear-stained cheeks.
“A month ago.” Robby nodded.
“Last week. And it was breech. So, I think we can handle this.” Jack smiled.
“Don’t smile at me! Why are you smiling!?” You screeched.
“Sorry! Sorry.” Jack winced as you squeezed his hand.
“Fuck! Fuck, this sucks!” You cried.
“I’m sorry, Honey.” Robby felt guilty, not being able to do more for your pain.
“You promised an epidural!” You groaned.
“I did, I’m sorry.” Jack sighed. “We’re going to get you through this.”
You had been prepared for boredom. You had been prepared for long hours of pain. You were not prepared for everything to happen all at once. You were not prepared to give birth in your living room. But there you were, on the couch, leaning onto Robby’s chest as he held you close, with Jack between your legs.
“You’re doing great! The head is almost out! You can do this!” Jack cheered, a stupid grin on his face.
“I’m never doing this again! I swear, I’m so serious!” You cried.
“Never again, Honey.” Robby kissed your sweaty temple.
“Big push and the head will be out.” Jack told you, his signature intense eye contact actually helped keep you grounded. Your foot was slipping on the couch cushion and he picked it up and put it against his shoulder.
It was all a blur. One second you were watching reality tv and the next you were screaming your baby into the world.
“He’s here! You did it!” Jack beamed down at the squirming baby, not caring about the tears falling down his face. He put the baby on your chest, his hand staying on their back.
“Holy shit! I just had a baby.” You were breathless, looking down at your baby.
“You were amazing.” Robby sniffled behind you, resting his cheek against your head as he looked down at the baby in awe.
“He’s so beautiful!” You sobbed. “Hi, sweet boy! Hell of a way to start life.”
“He’ll keep us on our toes, for sure.” Jack chuckled.
“This will definitely be one hell of a story.” Robby cupped the baby’s head with his hands.
“How long was it?” You asked, your eyes never leaving your baby. Jack looked at his watch and his eyebrows shot up.
“Just under 3 hours.”
“Holy shit.” Robby gasped.
“Well, I guess I appreciate you not lollygagging.” You huffed to your baby.
“Snow is still coming down like crazy.” Jack said. “I guess you’re stuck with us for your nurses.”
Like their water just brakes and the others are confused until they say the baby is coming.😭
=WARNING: NON-DESCRIPTIVE BIRTH MENTION=
Oh man, talk about CHAOS.
You know that scene from Ice Age 3 where Ellie and Manny have that code word for when she will be going into labor (aka peaches)? I imagine a scenario like that unfolding.
While the human is trying their absolute best during a round, despite the numerous protests from their Survivor companions, they suddenly feel a sharp pain that causes them to cry out. Their bodyguards become alert and ask what's wrong, to which the human says their chosen code word.
Then PANIC.
"What?! NOW!?? YOU'RE HAVING IT NOW!?"
"See, THIS is why you should have stayed at the cabin! It's not safe!!"
"WHAT ARE WE GONNA DO!?"
"There is no time to waste, we need to make haste!"
"Oh joyous day! The birth of a god is one worth witnessing!"
"We need to make a safe place for them, hurry!"
"Shed! I need you to help me guard the entrances!"
"On it! What about--"
"BARRICADE IT UP IF YOU HAVE TO, DAGNABBIT!"
"Elliot! Help Builder!"
"WHERE CAN I FIND BLANKETS HERE!?"
"I don't know..?!"
"WELL HELP ME LOOK!"
"It's too cold in here! Light a fire!"
"A-Alright!"
The Survivors are all sent into a frenzy during the round and the Killer is probably struck with total confusion. I mean, they aren't really doing anything at the moment...so why are all the Survivors scattering and not focusing on ANY of their tasks?
Instead they are grabbing up a lot of resources and just pooling them in one singular location. Curiosity would just entice the killer to just simply wait to see what they are doing and witness what is causing such a ruckus...in fact...where is their larger friend?
The human is just in agony while the Survivors do whatever they can to make this small citadel as comfortable as possible for you to deliver. From lighting fires for warmth, bringing you anything soft, and giving Builderman water, cloths, food, and anything else they can do.
Meanwhile, the Sentinels are on FULL alert. They guard the entrances with purpose while Builderman constructs a sentry to help with protecting you. He also has a dispenser placed near your resting spot to take some of the edge off while you go through your labor.
The minutes feel like long and grueling HOURS while you crush the absolute life out of whoever has loaned you their hand and your brow is caked with sweat.
Builderman would probably be the one to help deliver the child, as a few of the Survivors have already fainted from the sheer sight of the birthing process. Two Time is also very helpful, as the sight doesn't seem to bother them at all. With a few more painful pushes, and agonizing screams, the little one is brought into the world.
Then suddenly, the round would end. Even if there was time remaining, the round would just straight up end and you find yourselves all back at the cabin. You are a complete mess and you're exhausted from giving birth during a live round...the stress was enough to cause you to fall into a deep sleep.
Meanwhile, Builderman is holding the swaddled bundle and trying to process that they all just DELIVERED A BABY during a live round with a Killer lurking about...it was so exhausting to put up with. The baby swaps hands for a while as you recover from the birth, each one taking in the sight of the newborn, and once you awaken--they willingly hand you your baby.
You simply stay in the "AFK zone" for the next few days to recover from such a harrowing process...but it was all worth it to deliver your precious little one.
Still, a couple of survivors can't help but make a passing comment or two...especially "those diagrams did NOT prepare us for that at ALL".
You can't help but laugh.

Ace/Deuce:
The continued cries of your four infants kept you from sleep, despite your exhausting ordeal and all you had gone through in the last several hours. Both of your hands were being held by Ace and Deuce respectively as Deuce's mother and Ace's family gently coo to your newborn young. It was obvious to you that everyone was thrilled as their goat ears and tails wiggled excitedly upon seeing and hearing your infants.
Though Ace was a Satyr and Deuce was a Faun, it was actually difficult to tell which of the four belonged to who. The best way- you could guess- as to who was the father of which Kid was by looking at the little nubby horns that had barely begun to form on their heads. Two of them had black horns like Deuce, and two of them had tan horns like Ace. You could only hope that was the primary way to tell the difference between the four as to who was their father out of the two.
Even with how often Ace and Deuce would be at ends and fight against one another, they had come together to support you during your pregnancy and the birth of their young. They couldn't be happier. It was Deuce's mother who seemed the most proud of you, however, as she smiled at you and praised you while Ace's family attempted to get the Kids to settle down. The only time the four Kids quieted was when they were close to you or close to one another, otherwise they were screaming and struggling.
Ace's mother was quick to pass the screeching red-haired Kid to Ace, settling the infant in his arms as the small child calmed down quickly. Thanks to their proximity to you, they took to Ace's hold easier than they did to his mother's and it was clear she was somewhat jealous of that fact. Deuce's mother carried over the blue-haired infant to Deuce, letting the awkward Faun cradle his newborn and soothe them as best he could.
Even Ace's brother acquiesced to passing the Kid in his arms to you the same time Ace's father settled the newborn in your arms.
Silence fell over the room as the group relaxed into quiet and stopped crying out for your affection. The two that Ace and Deuce held seemed less settled than the two in your arms, but they were content enough to not whimper anymore. Despite how lively they had been, it seemed like your presence alone soothed them and made them relax more than expected.
"No fair, how come Acey gets to have the cutest Kids and I don't even have a mate yet?"
"Hush, this is your brother's moment, not yours, okay? Let them have their time. You'll find someone eventually."
Ace snickered at this, some proud part of his mind thrilled that he had Kids and the most amazing mate any of them could image before his brother even got married. That achievement put him leaps and bounds ahead of his brother and he knew he would hold it over his older brother's head for the rest of their lives.
"I'm so proud of you, Deuce. You found such a wonderful mate and have such beautiful little Kids. To think, you were such a troublemaker when you were young and now you have a beautiful family."
"Mom," Deuce whined, clearly embarrassed by her praise even though his short tail only wagged faster with her praise, "stop, you're embarrassing me."
"Oh, hush. You know it's true."
You chuckled at this, watching your Kids nuzzle against your chest and cuddle down into your embrace. Even the doctors and nurses seemed envious of your infants as they kept glancing over, wanting to join the affectionate cuddle that was taking place. Despite the effort and strain of bringing these little scraps of joy into being, it seemed more than worth it to have them in your arms and snuggled against your side.
"Welcome to this crazy family, little ones."

Cater:
"How are they coming along?"
You asked gently, seeing Cater's gaze snap up to look at you as you entered the little grotto the Water Nymph had carved out for your young. It was odd to have only seen little jelly cores when you had first delivered them, but you had no choice beyond trusting the process that these cores would become infants. Cater had been more than protective of you and your cores, desperate to keep them safe and away from others.
He perked up when he noticed it was you, waving you over to his side as he stood to greet you. The Nymph had been keeping close watch over your little family and was quite particular about ensuring no one other than you could approach. Not even his mothers or sisters were allowed to look upon the younglings developing in the pool he had crafted.
"They're precious, (Y/n), they even turn the water rainbow colors."
He was right. The three little cores in the pool of freshwater had grown into actual infants, cuddled into the stream that they had grown in. The pool itself was lined in various colored rocks and crystals that Cater went out of his way to find. Lining the bottom of the rocky basin was eel-grass that created a bed of sorts for the little infant Water Nymphs to rest in.
The entire cavern was beautiful, even more so when you understood that Cater had spent days and nights carefully carving out the rocky walls to create the cavern itself. This was before he found the exact spot with the underground water that he tapped into to create the pool in the first place. He went above and beyond to create the perfect space for your young to grow and prosper after you delivered their soft little cores months ago.
Who knew that those golf-ball sized gel-beads could form into such precious little infants that cuddled into their aquatic nursery?
"Is it safe to touch them?"
"Of course! I'm sure they would appreciate affection from you."
You slowly reached your hand into the water, feeling the chill of the pond itself so you could gently stroke the cheeks of these little infants. The slightest disturbance of your hand in the pool seemed to rouse your infants, the closest one to you opening their little eyes and clumsily reaching a hand out. They were just as odd feeling as Cater was, a kind of jelly texture to their skin as the little one smiled affectionately at you and grabbed your hand.
"Hello, little ones... Remember me?"
The other two infants also roused, wiggling in the water to reach you as they all tried to hold onto your hand. It was clear they were finding and extreme comfort in your presence and wanting to hold onto you as best they could. A strong part of you wanted to lift the infants out of the water and cuddle them close despite their slippery textured skin.
"You can hold them, you know. They're fully formed from their cores and they can be out of water for a little bit. They just need to go back into the pool once you're done cuddling them."
This encouraged you to sink your other arm in, lifting up the nearest infant into your arms. The way they soaked the front of your shirt didn't bother you as you cuddled the soft soul closely and kissed their little cheek. In response, the tiny infant giggled and held your face in their chubby little hands, trying to push their little mouth against your face and kiss you back.
"I love them, Cater."
He smiled at this, tilting his head and looking lovingly at you as you cuddled the infant. Clearly, The other infants in the pool also wanted to be cuddled, but you only had so much space in your arms to hold them. He would make sure they all got the same amount of affection from you and the same time spent snuggled in your arms.
"I love them too. I love them so very much."
He kissed your forehead, resting a hand atop the head of the infant as they babbled nonsense at the both of you. The other two still in the pool began to whine, wanting to also be held so lovingly by their parents as Cater smiled at them.
"We're going to have our hands full with these little ones... And I couldn't be happier about it."

Trey:
You awoke to the gentle feeling of fingers slowly stroking against your cheek. Even as you slowly woke and came back to awareness, a fog seemed to have settled over your mind. Awareness came back to you in lazy waves of realization.
That's right, your Foals were on the way and you had to be put under to get them out of you safely for all three of you. Though you were aware you were having twins- especially based on the size of your stomach- you knew they were likely to be small as you were nowhere near the circumference of even a regular Foal pregnancy. At least your body didn't get destroyed by the Foals, though you knew you wouldn't be moving around much afterwards.
"Hello, my Sweet. The Foals are both healthy and eager to meet you. I got them to settle down, so don't worry about rushing. They're beautiful and completely perfect."
"Thank you, Trey... Are they okay?"
"Our boys are okay. They cried for a while after they were pulled out of you, but they settled down eventually. I would bet they would be thrilled to bits to get to meet you. They probably want their first feed whenever you feel ready for it."
You lifted your head and Trey was quick to assist you, propping you up on several pillows and raising the head of your bed so you could comfortably look around the room. Not far from you in a large bassinet were the resting forms of two tiny Foals cuddled up together. They likely found comfort in one another due to being Half-Human and it was enough to soothe them until you woke.
"Would you like me to bring them over to you?"
"Please."
"Anything for you, my Sweet."
Trey quietly moved over to where the Foals were sleeping, rolling them over to you before gently lifting one. The movement hadn't woken them at first, but lifting one quickly woke them as they began to whinny in distress from being separated. He was quick to try and soothe them, but it was clear they they weren't handling parting from one another very well.
As Trey settled the first one next to you, they quickly quieted down, cuddling up to your side and happily snuggling against your shoulder. Once the second one was placed along your other side, quiet filled the room as your two foals were quickly soothed by your presence. Just laying with you did wonders for the pair of Foals who nuzzled close and seemed to be searching for their first meal.
The first had hair that was a similar color to Trey's, their equine half having a rainbow of color across the fur that had the faint impression of scales beneath. The second Foal had rainbow colored hair, and a light green color on their equine half. Clearly both took after trey more than they took after you which vexed you somewhat.
"Are you feeling up to feeding them, Beloved?"
You nodded, moving your arms from where they had been laying around your Foals to your birthing gown, pulling the clothing open to allow the Foals to latch and get their first meal. They did this without hesitation and relaxed into your hold all while Trey ensured they did not put any pressure on your abdomen and bother the incision. While the twin Foals fed, you heard the sound of hooves against the floor approaching your room.
Odds are, Trefoil and Alisk- Trey's parents- were keen to meet their two new grandchildren and check up on how you were doing after your ordeal. They had been nothing short of supportive of you and Trey during this time, and you knew they were more than happy to watch over the Foals if you ever needed a break. A gentle knock sounded out, prompting Trey to answer the door with a beaming smile.
"(Y/n), is it alright if my parents meet our Foals?"
"Sure. Are your little siblings here too?"
"No, just my parents right now. Didn't want to overwhelm you right after birth."
You nodded, seeing the pair of Kelpies enter the room quietly. It was clear they had no intention of unsettling your Foals. They settled near your bed, trying their very best not to start cooing and reaching out to gently stroke the hair of the Foals. As much as they wanted to cuddle those little Foals, they would not do anything to bother the newborns during their feeding time.
It was as important for newborns to feed as it was for them to get rest and feel at peace. Even more so for your Foals.
"Well done, you two," Alisk spoke gently, her voice barely above a whisper, "they're absolutely precious."
"Yes," Trefoil chimed in, "I dare say there haven't been cuter Foals ever before."
Trey was absolutely beaming in pride, smiling at you and his little Foals while they fed. The three were clearly over the moon with their adoring affection and all wanted to show you as much support as possible. They were right, of course, the Foals were precious even as their little cheeks squished and pressed against you while they quietly fed.
"They are perfect... And are going to be so loved."

Riddle:
Your eyes slowly opened, the brain fog hanging heavily over you as you tried to recall what it was you had been doing. Somewhere deep in your hormonal mind, you remembered that your water broke while you were out with Riddle and he had carried you all the way to the nearest hospital. He didn't even care if he broke any rules or laws on his desperate race to get you treated.
You both had known you wouldn't be able to deliver your Foal the traditional way, as you were no centaur. This only drove Riddle to run even faster to get you somewhere to be properly taken care of. Now, you were slowly waking from that mental fog and trying to orient yourself despite the way that you had been rushed to the hospital.
Of course, Riddle ensured that his mother was nowhere to be found so that she could not try to kidnap your beloved little youngster as she had threatened prior. As far as you were aware, the Unicorn woman was now on the run and should be nowhere near your family.
The softest of sounds escaped your throat as you turned your head to try and find where Riddle had gone, wondering what the state of your Foal was. Your eyes landed on the white flank of your beloved Unicorn, seeing him holding something in his arms as he spoke to the doctors in a hushed voice. Your sound had drawn his attention as he turned rather quickly to face you, stopping his conversation mid sentence.
Laying in his arms and softly whinnying for something, was the- surprisingly small- Foal you had worked so hard to bring into existence. Their little equine half of her body was the same white as Riddle's, their hooves an intense rainbow that complimented the multicolored speckles decorating the fur below their knees and hock. Their sparse and wispy hair was as intense in coloration and variety as a rainbow splashed across their head. Centered on their forehead was a small nub of a horn, barely grown and peaking out of the small star shape.
"... My baby..."
You reached out your hand almost reflexively and Riddle trotted over to you, holding your beloved little youngster securely against his body. He slowly and gently settled the Foal who made more soft noises as she came closer to you, her eyes slowly opening as he reached her clumsy hand out to you. As she lay next to you she practically crawled over to your side, exhaustedly flopping against your shoulder as she clung to your arm.
"She's perfect, just like you, my love."
Riddle spoke gently as he lay his upper half against the bed, his head tilted to the side with an affectionate smile while he gazed down at the two of you. It was obvious Riddle was elated as he gently ran his fingers over your Foal's back. She let out a soft squeal and cuddled closer to you, using her face and uncoordinated hands to search for a place she could suckle.
"Seems our little girl is famished."
You smiled at this and pulled at your top, Riddle quickly pulling the curtain in front of your bed to shield you. Ever the respectful and courteous Unicorn, he was going to make sure you could feed your Foal in relative privacy. The small Unicorn Foal was quick to latch on, relaxing into you with soft noises of joy as she finally got her first drink.
"What do you want to name her? I will agree with any idea you have, I promise."
"Well... I was wondering what you had your heart set on? You mentioned that you had an idea and wanted to name her something specific."
"I don't wish to impose my desires on you. You did all of the hard work getting our girl to us, you should be allowed to choose."
"Riddle."
The Unicorn snorted at your flat tone, not wanting to argue with you but also wanting to honor your effort. He let out a soft sigh, cheeks turning a burning scarlet as he glanced away.
"... I was thinking of the name Petal."
"Petal?"
"Like the petals on a rose, so she can be Petal Rosehearts. I can be the thorns to keep her safe, you can be the actual flower itself, and she can be the petals of the flower."
"... That is absolutely adorable."
"I know it's foolish, but I- what?"
"I said that is adorable and I approve."
Riddle's entire face burned at this as his tail began to curl and swish. He was quick to try and cover up his bashfulness as he smiled, laying his front half back down next to little Petal. She was slowly drifting to sleep, lazily suckling as she let out gentle coos and snorts.
"Welcome to the world, my little Petal... I promise you will have the best life I can give you."

Jack:
Jack held your hand the entire time, petting your hair and kissing your forehead as you tried to let your body relax. The Werewolf had felt so helpless while you struggled to bring his young into the world. All he could truly do was try to keep you company and try to comfort you during the ordeal. He refused to look away from you even to see his new Pups as you continued your struggle.
"Don't worry, (Y/n)... I'm here for you..."
Despite how Jack focused on you and you alone, his parents and little siblings kept a close eye on the doctor and nurses to ensure none of your Pups went missing. Now you were through most of the difficult part, you could relax into the pillows and try to regain your strength. It was the unhappy whimpers of your Pups that pulled you back into awareness and kept you from rest. Your mind was already attuned to the sound of distressed young, so you couldn't rest when your Pups were making such a sound.
Jack's family, a lovely group of kind Werewolves, were busy feeding a Pup each the milk you had pumped early on when you began to produce the creamy substance. It was the two Pups not being fed who were making the distressed sounds. Jack was quick to notice how unsettled their whines made you as he stood up, grabbing the two Pups and carefully bringing them over to you.
Though it was obvious all of your Pups wanted to be with you, it was the two not actively being fed who made the most noise. Every infant knew the most basic of survival skills, and needing food was one of the skills that reigned supreme.
Jack settled the pair in your arms as you looked down at them, surprised to see the intense array of colors and the oddly Human looking Pup that lay in your left arm.
The one on the left had a gentle brown sugar skin tone, his body was mostly Human minus his back legs, tail, and Werewolf ears. Like his more canine-appearing siblings, his eyes and ears were closed due to being a newborn. His hair and fur seemed to be a lovely white that had an intense iridescence, holding a near fluid rainbow within the fluffy tresses.
The Pup laying cuddled into your right side was more like Jack, her features distinctly Werewolf as she nuzzled against your top to try and find somewhere to latch. Her fur was a beautiful inky black excepting the fur on her tail and the top of her head, showing a dark tinted rainbow that dispersed the colors evenly. She was just as lovely as her siblings.
Jack was fascinated with the Pups you held so securely in your arms. His nose nuzzling through their fur as his tail began to wag excitedly, thumping heavily behind him as his joy was clear and palpable. It was apparent to you that he was excited to finally meet the infants that you had been carrying within you for such a long time.
"Are you in love? I think I'm in love!"
Jack was thrilled to bits with his Pups, excited beyond the definition of the word as his little pup gripped his fur tightly and he whined. It was obvious that the Pup's grasp wasn't hurting Jack in the slightest, but he was vocalizing due to his overwhelming joy. He was not often the type to show extensive emotion, but he simply couldn't help himself upon seeing his precious young laying in your arms.
"They're beautiful, Jack."
It was his mother who commented first, her wolfish grin and wagging tail showing you how thrilled she was to finally hold her grandchildren. Jack's entire family had been a wonderful support for the both of you, even his siblings eagerly awaiting the arrival of your young. Though his family was technically not part of a pack, it was shaping up to be more and more like a Wolfpack with you and Jack at the lead.
"I love them so much!"
His little sister was almost in tears, the little pup in her arms cuddling up to her as she fed them their bottle. Even Jack's little brother couldn't help but wag his tail in absolute elation to finally be able to meet the pups that they all had so eagerly anticipated.
"We're going to need a lot of extra hands to help raise them, Jack."
"I know, that's exactly why I am so happy my family is here to help us. Now we can just welcome our pups to this world, and show them the love they deserve."

Ruggie:
The sound on near harmonious cackling greeted you when you awoke, slowly opening your eyes as you felt more than a little disoriented. All your remembered from before you were put under was Ruggie holding your hand and nervously demanding to know the moment you woke. Despite how lacking in funds the Cackle was, you were given near royal treatment due to simply being Human. That meant that your Cub would also be given that same free- yet extensive treatment- you were.
Even with your disoriented state, you felt not an ounce of pain as you came out of your induced sleep. There was a distinct warmth still holding your hand and it seemed to be where the majority of the cackling was coming from as you slowly turned your head to look.
Ruggie was holding your hand, head thrown back as he cackled loudly to the small whimpering shape in Grammy Bucchi's arms. Laying in a pile of gray fur with intense spots of varying color seemed to be the- larger than expected- shape of a Gnoll Cub. Grammy was also cackling joyously, bobbing her head as the two rejoiced the new life they could add to their Cackle.
"...Ruggie?"
"(Y/n)! Oh she's- Seven, she's beautiful! A little girl! We have a little girl!"
Ruggie began to cackle again as Grammy walked over, setting the Gnoll Cub into your waiting arms as you let go of Ruggie's hand. The male was quick to lower his head towards the female Cub in your arms and you could see the way his tail practically became a propellor with how quickly he was wagging it. There was no denying the fact that Ruggie and Grammy were both elated to see you and your Cub were safe and happy.
"Don't be shy now, child. Give the little girl her first meal!"
Clearly your Cub was of the same mind as she rooted around your chest, looking for anywhere she could latch onto you. Clearly, she had Ruggie's voracious appetite. You were barely able to free up your chest before the Cub latched, kneading at your flesh as she hungrily drank her fill.
"What a blessing. A blessing!"
Grammy had always been sweet to you and Ruggie, but she was being exceptionally sweet with your little Cub and seemed to be struggling to contain her excitement. Even the nurses- most of whom were a mix of Gnoll and Nemean Lion, a few were even Zebra Centaurs- seemed entranced with your Cub. Any time a nurse showed a bit too much interest, they were met with snarls from the two Gnolls who quickly went back to loving once the nurse backed off.
"Any thoughts on names, Child?"
"I was thinking of Impisi if they were a boy, but Impisa for a girl."
"It seems you have as good of taste in names as you do in mates. Little Impisa will be the finest matriarch our Cackle has ever seen."
You smiled down at the Cub, watching her feed as she cuddled into your warmth. Each of her little spots seemed to be a varying shade that made her pelt a beautiful rainbow. She was so little and innocent right now, it was hard to imagine she could grow to be as big and intimidating as Grammy Bucchi.
"My sweet little Impisa... You'll never know what it means to go hungry."

(Extra; I'm using the original name for the Bird-man Chamberlain, Kifaji not Neji)
Leona:
"You did so good, Mousey... rest now. A little Herbivore like you is probably exhausted."
Two mewling screams split the air, your young announcing their arrival into the world. They were keenly calling out for you, as all Cubs had an overwhelming instinct to stay with their parent and mistrust everything else. The Lionesses were trying to calm your Cubs as Leona held your hand, kissing your knuckles affectionately.
As gruff and uncaring as Leona pretended to be, he cared for others quite deeply. He was far more affectionate with you than he was towards all others. Falena went as far as remarking on how tame Leona became with you around, even being patient with Cheka.
Now you were exhausted from bringing his Cubs into the world.
As your young continued to hiss and struggle, you tried to sit up to get a good look at them. This effort was for naught as Leona was not about to let you get up after such an exhausting event. He gently held your shoulder, leaving you laying propped on pillows and unable to get up as you wanted to.
Before you could complain at him for his actions, the Lion nodded to the Lionesses, indicated he wanted them to approach with your Cubs. The lead Lioness seemed hesitant at first before she acquiesced and brought the two wriggling Cubs to you. Both of them only mewled louder as they came closer to you, blind and deaf from how young they were as they reached their tiny hands out to you.
The Cubs wanted you to hold them.
As they were placed in your arms, they went quiet and still. They were no longer hissing at everything, instead they nuzzled into your body with soft squeaks of affection, gripping onto you as if you would disappear from their side.
First born of the Cubs was a striking white-gold, his fur almost silver in the soft lights that decorated the room. Across his little face were markings that almost reminded you of a Leopard, curious to see that even these Humanoid beasts shared such similarities with their animal counterparts. As far as you knew, spotted patterns on Lion Cubs were common to help them blend in and avoid predators.
The second born was a lovely rose-gold, almost a gentle pink despite the clear golden tones in her kitten soft fur. She was far less lively in her nuzzling as she mewled, letting out the softest of sounds for your coveted attention. Despite how gentle and muted she was, she was still trying to keep your attention, as all young Cubs knew they needed their parents to survive.
"They're perfect... Just like you, Mousey."
"Getting sentimental on me, Leona?"
"Of course I am. I may enjoy seeing you get flustered for me, but even I can't deny that our Cubs are perfect in every way."
The Cubs let out another mewling sound, trying to get your attention back to them as they searched for a place to latch onto you. They were newborns, but they were clearly hungry and needed you to feed them. It didn't take much for you to pull open the large shirt you wore- Leona insisting you donned his clothes for this important event- so you could free your chest for the Cubs. As soon as they were able, the Cubs latched onto you, their mewls quieting as they kneaded at your chest.
Soft sounds escaped them, their small ears wiggling as they drank their fill of your milk. The moment was so wholly domestic, you could barely stop yourself from smiling at them. Even Leona seemed to be caught up in the pure bliss of it all.
"Our Cubs..." The Lion grinned a toothsome smile, "all ours..."
The moment seemed to last forever, and yet not long enough as a voice broke through that peaceful moment.
"Leona."
"The hell you want, Falena? Can't you see I'm busy?"
"They need names so we can present them to the Kingdom. A crowd has already begun to gather outside of the Palace to greet the new prince and princess."
You frowned at this, holding your cubs closer to you in a protective way. What exactly did 'presenting them to the Kingdom' mean? Truthfully, you had been under the impression that your Cubs would be kept with you for at least a few months and the idea that they could be seen by the Kingdom when they had barely been born stressed you immensely.
"... Leona?"
"It's alright, Mousey. It's just some dumb tradition. Our Cubs will be safe the entire time. No one in their right mind would hurt them. All presenting them to the Kingdom means is their names will be announced, and they will be held aloft for the crowd to coo over. Honestly, it's more for the Kingdom to recognize their monarchs. I'll make sure they are safe the entire time."
You were still less than pleased at this idea that your Cubs would be taken anywhere, let alone taken away from you for any amount of time. It had barely even been half an hour since you birthed the Cubs, why did this presentation need to be done so soon?
"But... But they aren't even a few hours old! Can't it wait?"
Instinctively, you held your Cubs close to you, both still suckling and peaceful. To think that they would be held aloft at such a tender age had your anxiety spiking. Who would hold their little heads? What if they were dropped? Your younglings were so small and innocent, it only displeased you to imagine parting with them so soon after birth.
"Mousey-"
"No! They're too young! They're too small! What if they get dropped? What if someone targets them for being Half-Human?"
Your distress was beginning to unsettle your Cubs and the Lionesses who began to anxiously look from you to Falena. They knew there were traditions and the people loved their traditions, but it was hard to act when you were so clearly distraught and displeased. Even Kifaji- who had arrived to officiate the names of the Cubs- seemed unsettled by your distress.
"I won't let anything happen to them. I promise-"
Leona cut off with a hiss as you bit down on his reaching arm. Something deeply rooted in your hormonal mind said he was not allowed to take your young under any circumstances. If that meant you had to bite him to get the point across, you would do it a thousand times over.
"I said 'No' and I mean it, Leona! No one is allowed to take them!"
Leona sighed, rubbing his forehead in stress as he actually turned to his elder brother for guidance. It was clear even Falena was unsettled and didn't know how to proceed as you glared at them, arms wrapped protectively around your cubs. You weren't going to allow them to take your little ones, not if you could help it.
"(Y/n)," Falena paused, seeing the way you tensed as he moved, "they won't be in any danger, I promise."
"A promise from you means nothing to me when you are trying to take my children from me."
Falena almost wanted to laugh. If ever there were a clear sign you were a good parent, it would be how aggressively you protected your cubs from everyone, Leona included. Though he knew better, he almost believed you had some Lion hidden in your genes with how angry you looked as you glared at him.
"(Y/n), I know you are stressed and worried about your Cubs, but they will be completely safe. Leona will be with them and I will be with them. We can even have the Royal Guard standing at attention for any troublemakers in the crowd. I swear to you, they will be safe."
"... But why now? Why can't it be a few days or a week from now? They're so little..."
"There are several reasons as to why it should be done now and not later. The first is to prove that you have birthed Half-Nemean Lion Cubs. I know you are aware of the view others have of Nemean Lions due to their history with Humans. The second is to allow the people this one tender moment with them. I know your Cubs are small, and right now they are fragile, but the people need to understand that as well. There is a reason royals are presented before the citizens, and I feel it would be just as important for them to see your Cubs in the same light."
"... They're feeding."
"It can wait until they have their fill. It doesn't need to be now. They still need names."
You relaxed somewhat at this, cuddling your Cubs close to you as their little ears wiggled. It was clear they were content feeding and purring gently in your arms, snuggled into your warmth as they kneaded at your chest. These precious little scraps were royalty and yet... they seemed so small and innocent at that moment.
"Did you have names in mind?"
"... Kimba for the boy, and Kunaka for the girl."
"Beautiful names. They shall know safety in the arms of the Kingdom."

Jade/Floyd:
"Shrimpy~ Shrimpy~ Little cutie Shrimpy~"
Floyd sang as he spun you around in the water, giggling cheerfully as you clung to him. He was far quicker than you were and he was happy to remind you of that fact any chance he got. At least the excitable Eel wasn't in a biting mood at that moment.
While Floyd played games and spun you in the water, Jade was busy being the dutiful one of the twins. He was checking and re-checking the clutch of eggs to ensure that all nine eggs were accounted for and that they were receiving enough oxygen. The twins had been switching off guard duty in the beginning, but Floyd often got bored during his shift and would instead swim off to find you or try to torment Jade.
"(Y/n), Floyd! Come, quickly!"
The sound of the unflappable Jade calling out in a near frenzy took the smile clean off of Floyd's face as he turned his head in the direction of his brother's voice. You barely even had time to orient yourself and get the room to stop spinning before Floyd was dragging you through the water to the nursery room. Inside, Jade was quickly circling the tank your eggs had been placed in, his bi-colored eyes fixed on the little eggs.
Each one was a perfect semi-translucent circle, the little shapes within wriggling wildly as Jade reached in to gently stroke the eggs. Floyd was quick to join his brother in circling, leaving you to slowly close the distance and gaze into the tank that had the pair transfixed. One of the eggs had a slit in it, the little eel-fry within pushing their way out of the egg into the rest of the tank.
Jade was keen to gently help them, offering his fingers as a holding point for the fry to grip onto and pull themselves free from the egg. As the tiny fry freed themselves, they lay in Jade's palm for a moment to rest. The little Eel's tail was an array of vibrant colors and their hair was a shocking red not often found in the ocean.
"Here, (Y/n), feel free to reach in, they should be toothless this early in life."
You did as Jade instructed, reaching your hand into the tank and towards the little fry who perked up as your hand approached. The small infant was quick to dart to you, wrapping their little tail around your fingers. It was clear the small Eel found comfort in your presence, but it was the eggs that surprised you.
As soon as you put your hand in the tank, the remaining fry still in their eggs began wildly trying to escape. It was only a matter of moments as almost every Eel freed themselves from their eggs, swarming to your hand to the point you had to put the second one in the tank to hold all of them. All that was left was the last egg, which happened to be the biggest of the group.
It was clearly alive as the Eel inside thrashed and fought for freedom, but it seemed like it was struggling more than you would expect. It was actually Floyd who reached over, using one of his long claws to slice the top of the egg open and free the fry within. What came out was something none of you had expected.
Two tiny Eel fry emerged, trying to escape at the same time and pushing one another as they cane free from the egg. Though they were small compared to their siblings, they were no less feisty as they gripped to your hands. They even went as far as to shove their larger siblings to settle in, cozying up in the center of the wriggling mass of infant Eels.
"Oya, a twin egg. Still a surprise even though Floyd and I were also a twin egg."
"Wonder why they're so docile? Probably because of lil' Shrimpy's genetics~ They aren't even trying to eat one another!"
You looked up at this, raising a brow at the casual words of Floyd that seemed more than a little suspicious. Though you knew Octopus Merfolk had a tendency to cannibalize one another as adults, this was the first time you were hearing of Eel fry doing the same. Floyd grinned wolfishly at you when he noticed your concern.
"Didn't ya know? Jade and I ate all of our siblings. We may have been the smallest, but we sure got rid of the others."
"That's..." you pulled your fry closer on instinct, "concerning."
"Don't worry, Shrimpy! These fry are too cute to eat! Even if they do look like colorful little chew-toys."
Jade was quick to glare at Floyd, before turning to soothe you as his words had only managed to unsettle you more than comfort you. The Fry had all settled down completely and now seemed to be taking a rest in your hands. A few even went as far as to affectionately nuzzle against your flesh.
"He's only joking. You know how Floyd is."
It was then Jade got a devious smile on his face.
"Why, he was just panicking the other day about being a good father. He almost cried."
"You shut your mouth, Jade!"
Floyd darted at his twin, the pair becoming a rolling mass of teeth and scales as they fought. It wasn't overly common that they scrapped to such a degree, but Jade had been intentionally antagonizing Floyd to comfort you. It was comforting to know and only served to make you smile despite the words of the more volatile twin.
"Welcome to the world, little ones... Even if your father's are absolute pains."

Azul:
You had finally gotten used to the extremely odd feeling of water surrounding you. Even with the water breathing potion, it had been an odd adjustment for you to live beneath the waves as the Merfolk did. The multitude of Merfolk you lived near were eager to get a glance of you or even try to approach you, but Azul was not one to let anyone so casually bother you.
This behavior of his only worsened when you delivered the clutch of seven pearl-like eggs. They were of various tints and colors, but they truly looked like oblong golf-ball sized pearls in their sheen and shape. Though they weren't perfectly rounded, they were still beautiful and Azul was keen to keep them under lock and key.
You had been dubious at first of the tank your cephalopod lover had set up, reminded intensely of the fish-tanks above the waves and wondering faintly if it was insulting to keep them contained. It wasn't until several Merfolk had attempted to break into that tank that you felt more at peace with the excessive alarm and safety systems that he had set up. Even the giant clamshell he kept them in within the tank served a purpose to shield and hide the eggs from anyone seeking to take them.
"(Y/n), my Angelfish! Come quickly!"
You weren't as fast in the water as Azul, and you knew Azul was slower than most Merfolk, so you certainly struggled to get to where Azul was. He was in the doorway to his office, one of his tentacles reaching out to grab your hand and pull you over to him quickly. Once you were by his side, he dragged you into his office and closed the door. Clearly there was something he needed to show you in the tank as he excitedly brought you to face it.
"Look!"
The clamshell within was open now and from the top of the open tank, you could see the eggs were moving rapidly, one of them already open as the little infant within pushed their way out. The silvery white hair and purple tinted skin of the infant looked remarkably like Azul, a small black octopus body with little lights along the tentacles flickered in the shadows of the room. The small Octopus Merchild seemed more aware of their surroundings than most infants did, intense light blue eyes locking onto you as they slowly and arduously swam towards you.
Azul was quick to offer his tentacle to the small octopus who gratefully accepted the help, holding on and allowing Azul to pull them through the water to you. The infant was quick to latch their little tentacles onto your skin, the suckers adhering to you as the infant cuddled close. The faint sound of frustrated squeaks- much like the squeaking of dolphins- drew your attention back to the tank, seeing several of the other eggs had hatched as well.
Azul didn't hesitate to offer his tentacles to the small fry, just as he had with the first and helped them get to you. They did as the first had done, latching their tentacles onto you and gripping you with their tiny hands. As small as they were, you were absolutely smitten with the little fry that rubbed their cheeks into your skin and held to you as if they were afraid you would disappear.
"Oh, they're beautiful. Absolutely perfect in every way..."
You smiled as Azul began to sniffle, ever the suave business man in front of others, it was rare to see Azul cry. However, he let those walls down around you and let you see the emotional cry-baby he naturally was. In front of you, he was a sweet and gentle soul that was forced to put up an emotional shell so others wouldn't hurt him.
"Don't cry, Azul. They are perfect, and we are lucky to have them."
"I'll protect all of you... With everything I have in me. I promise, my love."
"I know you will, Azul. I love you."
"And I love you, with all three of my hearts."

Jamil:
You were dozing in the coils of your Naga lover, the both of you relaxing as the afternoon dragged on. It had become rather common for you and Jamil to nap together like this, cuddled up as you savored the cold scales against your skin and Jamil basked in the warmth of your flesh against his chilled body. The both of you were rather relaxed as you spent your days simply enjoying the company you could bring to each other.
As you where somewhere between awake and asleep, a hand gently shook your shoulder and roused you from that blissful rest. Jamil didn't even speak as he quickly pointed to the cluster of soft-shelled eggs that lay within his coils. They were all in one large basket and were visibly moving, each egg showing the life within.
It wasn't odd that the eggs were moving, they had been far more mobile the last few days. What was odd was the fact that several of them had slits in the shells that showed they were actively hatching. This realization got you to sit up, Jamil's coils pulling the eggs over to you as the soft squeaking sounds from within only got louder. Clearly, the young were eager to be by your side as their proximity to you decreased.
"Do we help them?"
"Yes, we can help their eggs open."
You reached forward, pulling at the shells and the slits they already made from within. It was harder than you expected to open up the thick leather of the shells, pulling and trying to open the shells to allow your young to slither free of their confinements. Jamil was also helping, his sharp nails making quick work of the shells as the first of your little ones wriggled free of their confinement.
That first little Naga had the same coloration as Jamil, looking almost exactly like the Naga you had taken on as a lover. Their small scales having a distinct iridescent shine to them as they squeaked and wrapped their little tail around your fingers. Jamil was more than elated, gently supporting the small upper body of the little Naga and lifting them up so you could cuddle them.
He made quick work of the other shells, your six remaining young squeaking as they all half-crawled, half-slithered to you. They were quick in wrapping their tails wherever they could on your body, seeking the warmth and comfort you gave. What amused you was how different yet familiar they all were.
One had the same shocking red hair that Riddle did, their red, yellow, black, and white scales an interesting contrast to that first hatchling. A different hatchling having vivid white colored hair and the same scale colorations as Azul had on his octopus body. To be direct, you were confused.
How could they all have such varying colors and yet be so familiar to you. As far as you were aware, you and Jamil were the only parents of this clutch of eggs. What made you angry was the fact that none of these little hatchlings shared intense similarities to you.
"(Y/n)..?"
"Why do they all look like someone else?"
"What?"
"Why doesn't a single one of our hatchlings look like me?"
Jamil pulled you and his hatchlings close, cuddling the lot of you in his arms and coils. He was quick to nuzzle your cheek, kissing and cuddling you in an effort to soothe your irritation. The Naga was less concerned with how or why the hatchlings all looked like his rivals- minus the one carbon copy of himself- he was more worried that you were displeased.
"We can have more. One of them is bound to look like you."
You huffed somewhat, still cuddling the Naga Snakelets who had all settled down, soaking up your warmth. Though you were frustrated, that didn't mean you adored your little scaled infants any less as they rubbed their cheeks against your skin and gently flicked out their forked tongues. They were all affectionate towards you and clearly recognized you from their time gestating inside of you.
"That's true... But I was hoping at least one from this clutch looked like me..."
Jamil hummed, happy that you were calming down and thrilled to pieces that the infants were all safe. None of them had kinked tails or were struggling to get moving, so they were all healthy at a precursory glance. He was thrilled that your young were thriving and had all managed to hatch, that was all he truly needed.
... He would confront the others later for the odd way six of the seven hatchlings looked like his Housewarden rivals, but at least none of them looked like Kalim.
~•§•~
Kalim:
You relaxed into the bed, Kalim next to you and more exhausted than you were. Though you hadn't expected it, apparently Genies endured more of the child-birthing pains than their mates. Even as he panted and tried to pull himself upright, you could tell that Kalim was struggling to steady himself after the whole event.
As soon as your contractions had started, Kalim's father was eagerly waiting just beyond your birthing room, eager to meet his first grandchild. As you slowly recovered, the lovely Naga- introduced to you by Kalim, and mother of Jamil- Amina brought over your small Genie child. Her smile was motherly and affectionate towards you and Kalim as she held the child up for you both to see. Curled in her arms with a lavish silk blanket and golden edging was a small child who looked as if a rainbow of light had been trapped within his wispy white hair. His eyes were equally colorful as he smiled a gummy toothless grin at you.
Amina seemed to be absolutely smitten with the little Genie and you allowed her to hover, watching how she made gentle cooing noises at your child. You and Kalim had already settled on a name a while ago after Kalim told you about his unusual connection to the infant. Where you had been somewhat dubious, it was clear Kalim's connection with little Malik ran deep as he took on most of your birthing pains.
"Hello, Malik. Took you long enough to come out and see us, you little stinker."
You spoke gently and affectionately to the child who giggled at the sound of your voice, reaching his small hand up to grip your finger. It was clear the child was thrilled to be back with you as he cuddled into your embrace, rubbing his cheek against your fingers.
As you were cuddling the soft newborn, you noticed Kalim was struggling to stay upright, seeming just as exhausted as you were. It made sense, he did take the brunt of the pain and suffered quite a great deal alongside you. You slowly moved yourself over on the bed, leaving enough space next to you.
"Come here, Kalim."
"Hm?"
"Lay down with us."
Kalim didn't need to be told twice as he flopped into the bed next to you in exhaustion. His eyes were warm as he looked at both you and Malik, reaching out to cuddle the both of you in his embrace. His head rest against your shoulder as he smiled at the infant you held securely in your arms. Even as the soft infant babbled and grabbed Kalim's fingers, you saw the way Kalim actually began to tear up.
"Don't cry, Kalim..."
"I can't help it, he's so perfect!"
You laughed gently as Kalim cuddled into you, holding and kissing the chubby hands of your infant. Malik couldn't help but giggle at Kalim's antics, his small Genie tail waving wildly with the infant's excitement and joy. The more he laughed, the stronger that rainbow glow around him became as it engulfed the three of you entirely.
"What a beautiful sight!"
The voice of Kalim's father, Sulitian, entered the room. His bearded face was pulled into an elated smile as the Naga servants behind him carried countless goods into the room. Where the presence of all these new faces unsettled you, Kalim seemed to recognize them and that put you at ease.
"I see the new little Al-Asim is thriving! And what a precious young man he is!"
Sulitian brought over a rather lovely and ornate lamp that reminded you of the one Kalim inhabited. The only difference was that this one seemed to be made out of Diamonds, glinting and shining in the light of the room as he presented this lamp to you and Kalim. To your surprise, it was Malik who was the most enthralled with this lamp, his chubby hands reaching out eagerly for the object. Sulitian didn't hesitate to place the lamp in the chubby hands of the infant who began examining and mouthing at the ornate object.
A sudden glow came from the lamp, matching the same prismatic glow from Malik as the infant squealed in joy. This reaction seemed to be what Sulitian was looking for as he clapped his hands excitedly and his smile warmed.
"Finally! An Al-Asim has taken to the diamond lamp! I just knew this little one would love it! You mark my words, he is destined for greatness."
The Naga who had accompanied Kalim's father into the room also seemed enchanted by the precious bundle you cuddled. Everyone seemed to soak in the genuine joy coming from the infant as they all smiled. To think such a little scrap of life could bring such true joy to everyone around them was a beautiful thing.
"Yeah... I think Malik is going to enjoy this beautiful life of ours!"

Epel:
"It should happen any day now."
Epel was walking by your side, leading you to the greenhouse where your young were growing. It was a very odd experience for you to realize that your little ones were practically growing from a larger plant, but you were also living in a world of creatures and monsters. Odd was your baseline at this point.
Epel and his entire family had worked hard to build the greenhouse despite having no need for such a thing prior to your young. They had even gotten the entire town of Harveston together to celebrate the newly growing life that would soon join them. The party had lasted for days as everyone tried to present you and Epel with their finest crops and the best of what they had available to them.
Though it had taken a while for the plants that would eventually bring your young into being to grow, you knew that it would be any day at that point. Even Epel had to remind you of that fact as you both took another trip to the Greenhouse right by his family tree.
"Once they're here, ah bet the whole town is gonna celebrate again!"
"Again? Feels like the last party barely ended!"
You laughed gently as Epel smiled, leading you into the warm structure from the chilly air outside. Since it was truly only constructed for your little ones, it was mostly empty save for the large tree that had grown in the center.
It had originally been three tree-like plants that eventually grew into one large mother tree. The tree itself crated unusual balloon-like fruit of all different colors that glowed and shined from within as little lamps. Even late at night, that tree could be seen in the dark, glowing and bathing the world around it in prismatic colors. At the base of the tree were three large flower buds about the size of cabbages and steadily grew in size day by day. Apparently, these flower buds were where your young would be emerging when they were ready.
The whole idea of infants growing from flowers and trees was unusual to you, but Epel made it seem like it was quite common for Nymphs like himself. Even Epel's "mother tree" was still out in the orchard where he had grown.
"It's always so peaceful in here, isn't it? And their tree is so beautiful. Ahm sure you've seen the townsfolk stop by tah bask in how soothing it is."
He was right. Countless townsfolk- from other plant Nymphs, to the various species that called Harveston home- had stopped by just to stare at that tree and enjoy the rainbow lights from within.
"I have. I wondered if it was a normal occurrence or if this tree is just special."
"Of course it's special! Grown up round a bunch of plants, but even ah haven't seen a tree quite like it! Our Nymphlings are gonna be the talk of the town!"
You smiled at this, turning to look at the tree and all of the lovely colors it produced before you noticed something interesting. The three flower buds at the base of the tree had begun to unfurl, little shapes moving within the centers of the flowers. Epel hadn't yet noticed it until you grabbed his hand, staring at the flowers and he followed your gaze.
"It's time!"
Epel dragged you over to the flowers, almost falling to his knees as you two reached the base of the tree. As you kneeled next to him, the flower in the center fully unfurled, revealing a beautiful and little infant. They had a gentle green tinted flesh and small flower buds along their leaf-hair that bloomed as you looked at them. Slowly, you infant yawned, stretching before their eyes opened, looking up at you with large blue, violet, and red hued eyes.
"Well, ah'll be! Welcome to the world, little sprout!"
The infant giggled at Epel's excitement, holding their hands up to you eagerly wanting to be picked up. As you lifted the Nymphling, the other flowers began to fully bloom as well. The little flower-bud in your arms cuddled against you, rubbing their petal-soft flesh against your cheek and holding tightly to your shirt.
"Ah gotta tell Grandma Marj! But first, ah think we need a bit of cuddling to welcome these little sprouts to this world!"
"I think that's a great Idea, Epel. They're absolutely perfect."

(Extra; little Driderlings, mention of one (1) actual spider, Rook eats said spider, eggs/heavily-implied oviposition)
Rook:
"Mon Trickster! Venir vite!"
You quickly hurried to Rook, wondering what had the Drider so stirred up. He had called you to his side several times since you had safely brought the clutch of eggs into your lives. From him simply wanting you to see how well the eggs were doing, to his desire to simply have you and the eggs together for his own nerves. You knew Rook was calling you for a reason, you just didn't know if that reason was serious or not.
"What's wrong?"
You asked, rounding the corner to approach the near frantic Drider. Rook was clearly on edge, his legs holding his body higher than normal which only showed his stress. He didn't even wait to explain before he picked you up, carrying you beneath your arms the same way one would carry an unruly kitten. It wasn't often that Rook simply hoisted you up in such a way, so you figured it was serious.
Even as your legs dangled, the Drider easily scaled the wall up to where he had built the web housing your eggs. You could see movement from within the webbed egg-sack, hearing the sound of infant cries mixed with an oddly humanoid squeak. It was more than apparent that your eggs were hatching and Rook wanted you present to witness it.
As you were set into the web, it only served to further excite the younglings as the movement became more intense and the sounds became even louder. Clearly, the Driderlings knew you were present and they were desperate to come out to greet you.
The webbing beneath you was sturdy and- surprisingly- not sticky, letting you move and adjust to see the young. Rook huddled close next to you his fingers making quick work of the webbing sack that surrounded the eggs. As soon as he tore it open, a translucent Driderling came crawling out. They were struggling to move properly due to being so young, but still determined to get to you and Rook as fast as their fragile body would allow.
You could see the faintest of designs along their body, the colors having hardly come in yet on the almost yellow spider-half of the infant. It almost looked like the tail-feather of a Peacock. The vague sense of curiosity overcame you as you held out your hands to the little infant, letting them crawl onto your hands and marveling at how small they were. They fit in your cupped hands perfectly and quickly settled down, a sweet cooing sound escaping the small infant.
As you held the tiny newborn up, they cuddled into your hands and held to one of your fingers. The others slowly began to make their way out to you, that same soft and floppy appearance as they were drawn to your warmth. It seemed like there was eight Hatchlings in total and they were all eager to get to you.
While you cuddled the little Driderlings, you noticed that something else had Rook's attention and he was frowning towards this thing. Not too far from the wall where this intricate nesting web was constructed seemed to be a spider of decent size crawling towards the web. Perhaps he saw it as a threat, or perhaps he thought it was some kind of danger, because he was quick to grab it with his nimble fingers.
It struggled in his hands as he regarded it and you felt a deep shudder run down your spine as he almost instantly put it in his mouth, crunching the arachnid. You stared for only a moment longer before you pulled your Driderlings close, vaguely wondering if Driders were cannibals. You had never heard of Driders cannibalizing one another outside of the females turning on the males during mating, but your precious scraps were too sweet to leave to chance.
"... Is something wrong, mon Amour?"
"... You don't get to eat them."
"Eat the-? Mon dieu! Why would you ever think I would eat our young??"
You stared at him and it slowly dawned on Rook why you would be worried. He did just eat a regular spider, no doubt you worried he would do the same to your young. Though cannibalism wasn't common for most species, Driders and various Merfolk did have a certain reputation.
"Mon Trickster, I would never do something so barbaric as to harm any of our precious little Driderlings. You have my word on that! That spider was a common pest for us Driders, they often target recently hatched young. Trust, I would never do such a thing to our precious children."
There was a long moment of silence as you stared at the Drider before you let him see the eight young that had climbed into your arms and onto your lap. They were all tired from the effort of escaping their eggs and now clung to you as tightly as they could. Rook smiled in absolute elation as he stared at the clutch of Driderlings, reaching out a finger to stroke over their backs as they let out soft noises in response to his attention.
"Careful, mon Amour, they will cling to you and refuse to let go for a few days. If you wish, you can place them on me. They should take to my back as they would to you."
You made a vague attempt to dislodged one of the little Driderlings, but they stubbornly held onto you. A more determined effort yielded the same results including a loud whine from the infant before you gave up.
"Oh my, guess they really don't want to let you go! Just like their Papa, it seems!"
Rook laughed gently, shaking his head as he admired the group of young holding onto you. If they weren't going to let go, then there was no reason for him to force them. Now he could admire the beauty of both you and your numerous children all at the same time.
"... I will have to beat my family back with a stick. They'll be as enchanted with our lovely little family as I am."

(Extra; egg/heavily-implied oviposition)
Vil:
"(Y/n), come quickly!"
You hurried towards the nursey Vil had spent hours pouring over, wondering just what could cause the famed Harpy to make such a sound. As you approached the room, Vil was visibly ruffled and seemed almost frantic. His feathers were out of place, his hair in a messy bun that was rather unlike the Harpy.
Vil looked like an absolute mess.
"It's time! They're here!"
Vil didn't even give you a moment to gather your bearings before he was ushering you into the room. Based on his frazzled state and the anxious way he rushed you, the eggs were likely to be hatching. After several months on end of incubating the eggs with the proud Harpy, it seemed the time had finally arrived for your young to force their way into the world.
The experience of birthing eggs had been an unusual and disquieting one, but that didn't mean you loved the little shelled infants any less. Even as you came to the side of the less than expertly built nest Vil had put together, you could see the movements of the multi-colored eggs and hear the peeping cries of your young. Each of the four eggs were moving and it was more than apparent that the little ones were keen to escape their calcium confinement.
Vil was eager to help his young hatch, using his nails to chip and break the shells to allow his young their first moments. You decided to copy Vil, working on a different egg to help these chicks enter the world. After months of carrying them and even more months of incubation, you were thrilled at the idea of finally meeting your elusive youngsters.
"Is it time? Am I late? Did I miss it?"
From behind you, Eric- Vil's devoted and adoring father- burst into the room, his feathers just as ruffled as Vil's had been. Like father, like son, Eric had been just as elated about the imminent arrival of your youngsters. As soon as he saw that the eggs were moving, he settled in next to you, helping to break the shells to meet the chicks.
The first egg broke under Vil's persistent picking, a high-pitched chirping filling the room. Your egg also cracked open fully, a more than raw looking chick sliding out of the egg with damp and wrinkled skin. Their eyes were barely open so much as a small slit, the thin skin showing the dark eyeballs underneath as the wobbly infant shakily tried to squirm towards you.
You had to hold back a soft laugh of disbelief as the very unsteady chick seemed so unusual in their proportions. The chick hardly even had the beginnings of damp feathers clinging to their bare wings, their bald head showing only the faintest wisps of hair. That frantic peeping had quieted down to a soft squeak in your hands. It was more than obvious that the chick took comfort in your presence and sought out your warmth.
Next to you, Eric had freed the third chick and Vil had moved on to the fourth. Both the first and third chick looked just as raw and wrinkled as the one in your hands. They were hideous, and it was precious.
It didn't take much for you to quiet the chirps of your little ones, your skin against their own doing more than enough to soothe them as they settled down. As Vil helped the fourth free themselves, it was clear the chick wanted nothing to do with him as they squirmed towards you. Even blind and bare, the newly hatched infants sought you out like a beacon in the dark.
"Oh, Vil," Eric was beaming with pride, "they're precious!"
"Of course they are, they are mine, after all. Not to mention the significance of having (Y/n) as their other parent! Each and every one of them is a blessing unto this world."
You smirked, hearing how proud Vil was of these raw-chicken chicks as you gently brought the fourth to your side. All four of the chicks cuddled into you, their odd bird toes curling and uncurling as the cuddled together. They didn't seem immediately hungry, as they likely fed off of the remaining yolk in their eggs, but they were eager to snuggle into you.
Vil reached over to lift one and they immediately began peeping in distress again. This unsettled the others as they all began to make noises of distress until he set the first back among them. All you had to do was place your hand over them and the noise died down, making it clear who they adored before they could even speak.
"Guess we know who they want to incubate them."
Eric laughed, putting his hands on his hips as the quartet of chicks returned to that gentle cooing noise. All of them exhausted from hatching and ready to rest in your arms. Both Eric and Vil cleaned up the egg-shell scraps as you got into the "nest", clearly being relegated to the task of incubating the fragile young. Like all infants, regulating their own temperature was no easy task, and these bald-chicken infants were no different.
"Have you settled on any names, Vil?"
"I have several in mind, but we shall have to see their plumage, and they are far too young to properly identify their genders just yet. Even so, our chicks are absolutely breathtaking."
Vil settled next to you, looking down at his young as he fluffed his feathers in pride. No doubt the Harpy felt compelled to adore the rather ugly little cuties, his smile absolutely filled with adoration. With a father like Vil and a grandfather like Eric, no doubt the chicks would be set for life regardless of what they chose to do.

Idia:
Finally.
After three years and countless hours during birth, it was finally over. Despite having only one child, the three year gestation was more than draining on you physically and mentally. Now the loud cries of your infant pierced the air and you could finally have some much needed rest.
Idia was so stressed about everything he almost fumbled cutting the cord and visibly flinched when your infant began to cry. It was more than obvious that Idia still wasn't used to the idea of having his own child despite the years he had to get used to the idea. The moment that small, crying bundle was placed in his arms, Idia calmed and seemed to almost become enchanted.
Despite the little one still crying, Idia had this look of revelation in his eyes, as if everything that weighed him down was suddenly lifted. Even when his parents- as adoring as they are of him- reached out their hands to see if they could hold the squirming infant, Idia withdrew from them with an almost disgusted look. You certainly weren't going to argue, you wanted to be next to hold the infant that had not stopped whining for you.
"Idia," you prompted gently, brining the Shinigami back to attention, "let me see them."
He was quick to acquiesce to your gentle command, bringing that whining infant over to you as gently as he could manage. With unusual precision, Idia settled the infant in your arms, letting you finally get a good look at them.
Laying with a vaguely disgruntled look, was a beautiful cherub faced infant with vibrant multi-colored hair. From their intense rainbow eyes fell what looked like the same markings as Papa Hades had under his own eyes. Like immobile rainbows painted across their pudgy cheeks, the similarities were uncanny. Centered on their forehead was a rather lovely crystal formation, more uniform and precise than the spotty gems that adorned Idia's face. It was the same beautiful prismatic appearance as their hair and eyes, framing their little face.
"He's going to break everyone's heart when he grows up. Absolutely an SSR level character."
"Idia," you scolded gently, "he's not a card to collect."
"I know that! I just... I can't believe he's so... Perfect. I mean, he has me as a father-"
You hushed Idia, smiling down at the cherub laying in your arms as those lovely eyes stared up at you in absolute wonder. He was perfect. There was no denying that.
"Little One," the deep baritone voice of Papa Hades spoke up near you, having been the one to deliver your infant into the world and the one who had been your primary support during your pregnancy, "he needs to feed soon. I understand it is critically important for Human infants, and the same is true for Shinigami infants."
You nodded, sitting up to adjust your loose birthing gown so that the infant could latch. The moment the small Shinigami was able to, he was hungrily drinking down any milk you had to offer, his small hands grabbing intensely at you. It was clear that he was more than content to feed for as long as you would allow him to. Even as you settled back into the pillows, it was clear your infant was not about to relinquish his meal.
"Idia?"
"Eep!"
"Do you have any names in mind? I know we've talked about a few, but did you ever settle on one?"
"... I mean... I really like Idia Jr, but that is so cringey I would die of embarrassment. How about Charon?"
"That works for me."
You smiled at the infant who slowly blinked back at you, his scraggly wings laying limply across his back as he let out soft cooing noises while he drank. Alexi and Anastasi were obviously smitten, just as Idia and Papa Hades were. No doubt the other Shrouds would be at the infant's beck and call the moment they met him.
"Little Charon... Welcome to the world, sweetheart."

(Extra warning; "Hoard" ending- meaning Malleus already has his hatchlings and has allowed his Hoard to also mate the Human (with the Human's consent))
Sebek:
Three tiny voices squealed at chirped loudly for attention, your entire body going slack as you tried to recuperate any shred of energy you could get. Your head was already lolling to to the side as you fought the pull of exhaustion and tried to bring yourself back to attention. Sebek hovered intensely, his ears perked as he observed the nurses that were cleaning up the third pup you had brought into the world.
The first was being fed from one of the bottles you had pumped earlier, greedily drinking in Lilia's arms as the elder Fae fed the little pup. Though they had been as unsettled as your prior young had the moment they were away from you, hunger won out in the end. The second was in the careful arms of Silver, Sebek occasionally snapping at the Cervitaur to stay awake and not drop his pup who whined unhappily. It was the third who was causing the most ruckus at the moment.
Having been born last, the only female among two males was livid to be separated from you. Poor Sebek had barely been able to cut the cord before she began to scream her little heart out and reach for you. Baur- Sebek's grandfather who was desperate to be present for the birth of Sebek's pups- could barely hold onto the little girl as she began to screech. It was clear Baur could barely get a good grasp on the pup who wriggled and cried for you.
"I apologize, (Y/n), she doesn't seem to want anyone but you."
The older Fae deposited the squirming and unhappy pup into your arms, letting you adjust the little one who quieted the moment you held her. Her little ears weren't even open yet and her eyes were held tightly shut due to being a newborn. Despite being practically blind and deaf- which Sebek assured you was only temporary- the pup seemed to know exactly who you were and that you meant safety.
"Sweet thing," you hummed gently to the female, who nuzzled into your body, "you just wanted me to hold you, is that right?"
The female quickly began trying to root around, using her nose to guide her to your covered chest. Once she realized she couldn't properly latch onto you, she began to whimper in an increasingly upset tone, her thick tail starting to wriggle with her distress. You didn't hesitate to adjust your birthing gown, the infant immediately latching and quieting down.
"Goodness, she is certainly feisty..."
You laughed softly and Sebek just gave a proud smile. It was clear the half-Fae Raiju was more than a little excited at the prospect of his pups, even puffing out his chest while you fed the female.
"Of course! They have Fae blood in them! They are no less than perfect!"
"Shh... Sebek. Lilia just got the first to settle down, we don't want to distress them."
Sebek quieted at your insistence, still elated and unable to fully contain himself as his tail wagged hard enough to almost knock him off balance. Even Baur seemed exceptionally pleased, looking over the pup in your arms and the two you had delivered prior. Silver slowly got up, carefully moving to your side to set the second pup in your arms. That pup was also quick to whine for a place to suckle, settling down once you got him adjusted.
To your surprise, that first born pup had relaxed considerably in Lilia's arms. The elder Fae- despite his clingy behavior with you- was an invaluable aide in how adeptly he dealt with the squirming pup and soothed them. Clearly he was a well-versed parent and was quite good at wrangling unruly young.
"Well done, Sebek. They are indeed precious."
Malleus spoke up from over your shoulder, the Dragon using his magic to rock seven of the eight Hatchlings, the white and black Hatchling- Malleon- refusing to settle in his arms. Lilia let out a little giggle upon seeing the dour Dragon with his veritable rainbow of young, but Sebek was practically over the moon with excitement.
"Thank you, my Liege! They are nowhere near the perfection of your Hatchlings, but I do believe (Y/n) did a magnificent job!"
"Sebek," you snapped in a hushed tone, the two pups in your arms whimpering due to his booming voice, "volume."
Before Sebek could respond, a sudden whimper came from Lilia's arms, as Sebek's yelling had unsettled the first born pup.
"Damn it."
"... Sorry."

(Extra warning for C-section, "Hoard" ending- meaning Malleus already has his hatchlings and has allowed his Hoard to also mate the Human (with the Human's consent))
Silver:
You slowly woke from the intense sleeping spell you had been put under, your body notably exhausted but no pain bothered you as you roused. Odds are the pain management was well in hand as you came back to awareness. Around you hovered the familiar faces of Malleus' Hoard, Malleus himself holding what looked to be Mallechite up to see you waking. The Hatchlings had been noticeably distressed when your body began to go into labor, all of them squealing as you were taken away.
Glancing around, you saw Silver was turned away from you, standing over a large bassinet and slowly rocking the cradle itself while you returned to consciousness. The soft humming coming from him was met with a very quiet and upset whine from within the cradle itself.
"...Silver?"
Your throat felt dry as you stared at the Cervitaur, seeing him glance those aurora colored eyes over at you as he smiled gently. Silver didn't often show many facial expressions, but the content smile that graced his features told you it had all gone well. He was quick to reach into that cradle to lift up the life it contained, bringing up a very small infant that had the awkward proportions of a calf, their little coat covered in multicolored speckles.
It was clear the little one was unhappy, crying softly and fighting sleep as they struggled half-heartedly in their father's arms. The soft youngster didn't seem like they were upset with Silver, per-say, but they were clearly displeased by something as they balled their little fists. Silver gently deposited the infant next to you, careful of your stomach, but still keen to introduce you to them.
"(Y/n), he's perfect..."
You reached out your hand to touch the soft cheek of the newborn, watching as the infant instantly calmed and cuddled towards your fingers. His soft silver hair shone even brighter in the moonlight as he babbled gently to you. The little male's eyes identical to Silver.
A soft giggle escaped your lips as the infant drowsily blinked at you, his small hands gripping your fingers tightly. No doubt the little calf knew who you were and was happy to be back by your side as he let out a light coo. The infant already adored you and couldn't help but make those sweet noises at you for attention.
"Our little darling boy... Did you think of any names, (y/n)?"
You laughed gently at this, settling rather quickly on a name given how similar the little one looked to his father.
"Sterling? Like, Sterling Silver?"
This actually got a humored laugh from Silver and the others standing around you. It was a fitting name, given the near identical appearance of the little Cervitaur when compared to his father. The only key difference between them- other than the obvious age and size- was the fact that Silver's spots were white, and Sterling's spots were multi-colored.
"Sterling... I love it."
Silver smiled as Sterling somewhat crawled towards you, his long and gangly Reindeer legs making it difficult. Lilia was gentle as he helped you to sit up, Sebek placing countless pillows behind you for your comfort. It was Malefica who lifted the little Reindeer, smiling as the small Cervitaur reached out his tiny hands to you. Once Sterling was settled in the crook of your arm, he went quiet, cuddling close to you and nuzzling against your chest to find milk.
Obviously the little one needed food, whining for anything he could get. It was important to feed infants frequently, especially right after birth given that first milk was the basis for their immune systems. It didn't take much effort on your part to move your clothes and allow the infant to latch, his soft whines turning into content snorting. You were just thankful the Cervitaur didn't headbutt your chest for the milk as most calves did when first born.
Not long into his feeding, you felt the infant go slack in your arms. Only the smallest jolt of worry entered your mind before you realized he had fallen asleep, mouth still suckling- albeit lazily- as the small infant slept. This only made a gentle giggle escape you. Of course the sleepiest Cervitaur you knew would create an equally sleepy offspring.
"Precious boy," Lilia let out a soft coo, smiling down at Sterling the way only a father could, "like father, like son. He even has the same gangly legs you did, Silver-!"
"Father, please!"
The banter between the two made you chuckle, relaxing back in the bed as you held Sterling close. Luckily the Cervitaur was not too rowdy or heavy as he lay in your bed and sleepily suckled, ever careful of the incision on your abdomen.
"Welcome to the world, Sterling..."

(Extra warning; blood mention, Lilia has to bite to get blood for the infant, vampire bat pup drinks blood, "Hoard" ending- meaning Malleus already has his hatchlings and has allowed his Hoard to also mate the Human (with the Human's consent), breast feeding)
Lilia:
A sharp cry akin to the screech of a bat mixed with an infant split the air as your body finally relaxed into the damp bedding. It had taken more energy and force than you had expected to push the wriggling infant out of your body. Luckily this infant was small enough that there was no risk of breaking their wings during birth, so you didn't have to endure a C-section. That didn't mean you weren't exhausted from having to do it the 'traditional' way.
The numerous Fae nurses of Briar Valley hurried around, cleaning the infant and clamping the umbilical cord that still connected the two of you. Even as you struggled to get your breathing under control, it was more than obvious that everyone was absolutely smitten with the little Bat. The smiles from all around told you that this soft and small life had already managed to capture countless hearts.
Naturally, the father and sire of this small squeaking creature was right next to you. Lilia gently stroked your hair and used a damp washcloth to clean up your skin after such an intense moment. The older Fae couldn't be happier as he washed your flesh reverently and kept a close eye on the nurses.
Those nurses in question were acutely aware that they were under the scrutiny of three Dragons, all of whom would not let them escape should they choose to try and take the newborn infant. Not to mention the fact that Lilia was a decorated war-general who would stop at nothing to hunt them down. With all of the deterrent of watchful eyes, that little infant was quickly placed in Lilia's arms.
It was Lilia who cut the cord connecting you and your infant, taking great care to not harm either one of you as you watched in fascination. The moment that cord was cut, your little pup began to squeal in genuine distress. This roused you enough from your exhausted state to reach out to the squirming pup who instantly calmed with your touch.
"Seems our little girl doesn't like being separated from you."
It made sense, you were addictive and the elder Shinigami Hades had even theorized as much. Your young were half-Human, but their monster half still held a deep addiction to you. Having grown inside of you and fed that addiction that literally brought them into being, the little ones would naturally be upset the moment their tie to you was severed. The Dragon Hatchlings had shown much of the same behavior when they came squealing into the world.
"What do you want her name to be?"
Lilia spoke softly to you, resting his head atop your own as you both stared down at the fuzzy little Bat Pup, her wings barely covered in an array of colorful fur and still damp from the process. Even the sparse whisps of hair on her head had that same vivid coloration as her wings. She was positively perfect in every way.
"Selene..."
"Selene? I love it. Welcome to the world, little Selene... Such a precious scrap of life..."
The small pup whined gently, her legs moving and limbs uncoordinated in their flailing as she whimpered. You could hear the way her small stomach grumbled in complaint as she let out soft snorts of discomfort.
She was hungry.
"Humans breast feed their young, correct?"
"Yeah... But doesn't she need blood too? She's still half Bat-Fae..."
"I wouldn't want to take from you after your efforts to bring her into our loving arms."
It was then Malleus spoke up, his voice a gentle hum as he approached your bedside, settling next to Lilia.
"Take from me, as a gift for this new life. I understand she still needs your milk to grow her immune system, but my blood should be ample enough for her to settle down."
"Dragon blood? Our little girl is having an absolute feast."
Lilia didn't need the offer extended a second time. Malleus bore his neck to the very same Fae that had raised him and allowed Lilia to sink in his fangs to his tough skin. The elder Fae didn't take much, just enough to draw back and transfer that blood to your offspring who happily and greedily drank down the blood her father gave her. Even when she had all there was to give, she was clearly still hungry and whined towards you, small hands outstretched as she longed for your comfort.
A strong and hormonal need to hold the little pup had you gathering her from Lilia's arms, settling the pup into your hold. She- as all newborns did- began rooting around your chest, able to smell the milk you had on you and getting increasingly frustrated when she couldn't find an access point. Infants all knew they needed to feed in order to survive, and Selene was no different.
The simple white gown you wore for this ordeal was loose enough that you could adjust it to free up a place for the small Bat to latch. Her little hands were quick to greedily grip your chest to properly suckle as she went quiet, those soft whining sounds becoming content cooing. As she settled down in your arms, Lilia was beaming with joy.
"Our precious little star-light... The night sky is all the brighter with you in it, little love."

(Extra; egg/heavily-implied oviposition)
Malleus:
You lay exhausted on the bed, panting heavily as the pair of female Dragons began to gently coo praises. Their naturally cool hands feeling even colder against your feverish flesh as they fanned you and let you lean into their touch. The dominant part of your mind wanted to see the young you worked so strenuously to bring into being. A quieter part of you just wanted to sleep after such an exhausting ordeal.
Sitting nearby in numerous padded cradles sat eight eggs, proudly glinting in the low candle-light of the room. The last one you had forced out of your body was a lovely snow-white and abyssal black, seeming smaller than the others. It was slowly expanding to a little under the same size as the other eggs while the Fae nurses- watched over by Lilia- fussed over it and cleaned it up.
Each egg had a vibrant shell color, making confusion wash over you. You had been under the impression that the eggs would be black and green, as you were told Malleus' egg had been. The gentle slopes and seemingly delicate structure of the eggs made you want to reach out and hold them, just to prove to yourself that they were real.
"They're beautiful."
Malleus hummed, kissing your forehead with an expression of genuine adoration. It was clear the dark Fae was elated with your shared young as he lovingly watched over them, his presence alone ensuring that these Fae Nurses treated these eggs well. He would not tolerate any of them being handled too roughly or potentially stolen by anyone.
Dragon eggs were more valuable than some countries combined.
"I want... I want to hold one."
You weakly held your arms out towards the cradles, Malleus quickly complying with your request as he picked up the first you had brought into the world. It was just as you had imagined when Maleficent first spoke of Malleus' egg. A deep ebony black outer shell covered the more delicate looking lime green inner-shell, an odd liquid held within as Malleus brought it to you.
The male Dragon was careful to set the egg into your arms, letting you adjust to the weight before fully releasing his hold on it. Sitting in your arms, you could tell it was nowhere near as delicate as you had first believed. Akin to an egg carved of granite, it was colder to the touch than you had believed and fairly heavy.
Something about this egg- this precious little life contained within- overwhelmed you. This egg, this vessel, contained a powerful monarch of impressive ability and remarkable potential. It contained your beloved youngster.
Your heart felt so full of affection, you couldn't stop the joyful tears that gathered in your eyes. Even as you pulled the egg close and wound both arms around it, the steady weight of that egg almost seemed to become heavier as you rubbed your cheek against the smooth green surface of the inner-shell. Each part of you- mind, body, and heart- felt an overwhelming need to shelter and protect this beloved little life that you fought to bring into the world.
"My baby..! My baby!"
With a sudden an almost earth shaking crack, panic split through you as you worried you had somehow broken the egg and you were desperate to fix it. Instead of a thick green liquid, a shape had taken form within the sheer inner-shell and now writhed to get out. Sharp squeaks and squeals came from within, compelling you to pull at the edges of the egg in an effort to free your whimpering young.
"Stars, it's hatching!"
"Already? Impossible! It takes years for them to hatch!"
"Quickly, we need to free them!"
The egg gave way beneath your desperate clawing and the infant's thrashing, cracking apart as your young clawed their way to freedom. Loud squealing split the air as a reptilian head wriggled free from the egg. A plump and round body followed the reptilian head as a goopy dragon with tiny wings freed themselves completely from their shell. Lilia knew how the Dragons would be over the shell and choose to move it back to the bassinet, out of your way.
Silence fell over all of the onlookers as you smiled, seeing bright green eyes focus on you with a gentle squeak of affection. Despite how inhuman the infant looked, your heart felt as if nothing else but that little squeaking creature mattered. They clumsily nosed along the edges of your blanket, barely able to slide over to you on jelly-limbs as that squeaking turned into a soft coo.
"Hello there, little one. Hello! I'm your mama..."
You spoke softly to the little Dragon, cupping their pudgy face as they squished into your hand and flicked their small pink tongue. A cute purr began to rumble from them as your tears fell anew. It was impossible not to get misty eyed when holding such a precious bundle of affection and life. Even as you held the small infant in your arms, more loud cracking sounded from the other bassinets.
Squeals for attention rang through the room and the three adult Dragons plus Lilia rushed to help the infants free themselves. Any time one of the Fae nurses attempted to aid, a warning hiss from one or all of the Dragons made them step back instead. The soft beasts that called out for you ignored the hands that helped them, all of your squealing hatchlings reaching out to you for affection.
It almost felt unreal for everyone in the room. To think, a Dragon egg hatching that quickly? Not that they would blame them. The warm rush of affection and genuine love that came from you had brought most of the others to tears as you held your little hatchings that all quieted the moment they got to you. Each one contently purring as they were added to your lap.
Dragons were a creature that cherished love above all else, after all. Between the overwhelming amount of magic and love pouring out of the room, the hatchlings couldn't wait to come out and meet you.
Now you lay in your bed, a pile of purring dragons laying with you. The exhaustion of the moment slowly began to catch up to you now that things were becoming peaceful once more. Your eyes slowly begining to close as you listened to the gentle noises of your small and toothless young. Their squeaking purrs and tiny chirps serving to lull you to sleep.
The three adult Dragons were busy cleaning up the shells, eager to keep every scrap and add them to the Hoards of the newly hatched Dragons. Never in their collective thousands of years had the Dragons seen any egg hatch so quickly. It truly spoke to the overwhelming love that poured out of you when you got to hold that first egg. Now there was a veritable pile of prismatic young cuddling you with soft chirping noises as you fell into a restful sleep.
"Yes, you and our precious (Y/n) have done a magnificent job," purred Maleficent, feeling immense pride as she stared at the eight youngsters, "utterly magnificent. To think, a clutch of eight... Completely unheard of. We have truly been blessed this night."
As the female Dragons hummed and fussed over the infants, Lilia gave Malleus a congratulatory hug. The beautiful Dragon in tears from the overwhelming joy that filled his chest. To think that he- the loneliest Dragon in modern times- could have such a rainbow of young, drowned him in a sea of adoration.
These little hatchlings would never know pain or loneliness, not if the Dragons had anything to say about it. They would be protected until the end of time.
