If you guys get to be angry on the Internet about v!Pyro and v!Owen, then I get to be angry on the Internet about v!Scott. (I want to make it very clear this is about the character.)
Every single time I see people being excited over the thought of Scott killing those two, I get angrier. Let Shelby go crazy. Let Drift go crazy. They deserve some violence, as a treat. But Scott? That man needs no encouragement to cause harm. There’s also no way he’s better than Pyro and Owen just because he sort of cared about something for once. I’m not going to sit here and excuse the damage Scott has done in Oakhurst.
You know what I think about when I watch Avid’s death? Pyro’s turning. You go out into the woods with two people you think aren’t going to hurt you. You go to help with the beacons. You realize the intentions of the people you’re with. You beg for your life, I need to leave or I want to go home, but it doesn’t matter. They kill you anyway. And the only difference between the two of you is that one of you still gets to walk after. I’m not excusing Scott for that, nor for his other turnings. I'm not excusing Pyro for his role in Shelby or Cleo’s turnings either, but we weren’t talking about excusing Pyro.
Vampire Scott is manipulative. He’s caused so much harm through turning and just generally being a scary person. Just because he didn’t kill one of the cast doesn’t erase that. He’s still got a kill count from those people he killed when they became useless to him. You guys can cheer on Pyro and Owen’s death. But I’m going to be over here wanting what I’ve wanted for weeks, for someone to stake Scott. It certainly would not make the person who does it better, but they should do it anyway. For fun.
I wish Apokuna all the best in their mission to undoom the yuri and kill Scott.
