Army Medics: Soulmate AU Sneak Peek
These are the three that I’m farthest along in. I’m still working on the others. I just started on JK’s and I have plans for Taehyung, Yoongi, and Jimin as well, they’re just not written yet, or not enough to share a peek at yet.
Let me know if you guys are interested in it.
All of the boys were kind of glancing at her, even after she moved on, and it was starting to feel a little weird. None of them could keep a straight face when they looked at her.
Finally, she reached the end of the line. She reached RM, the one her friend was teasing her about.
He had been watching her ever since he had finished talking with Lily, and as you moved in front of him he pulled his sleeve up so that the soulmate stripe on his arm was visible. It was a mix of blue and green, just like her hair.
He bit his lip, smiling a bit. “You dyed it last night for the first time…”
She just stared a little. “It could just be a coincidence,” she reasoned. “After all, the idea of there only being one ideal person out there for you isn’t exactly logical.”
He smiled broadly, laughing a bit and looking down. “One way to find out.”
She gave him a skeptical look, but held out her hand, her own soulmate-hair-color-stripe was the same brown as his hair. “The blue and green is temporary hair dye.”
His smile broadened slightly at that statement, and adorable dimples appeared on his cheeks. Then he took her hand in his and watched as both of their stripes disappeared from their wrists.
She felt her eyes widen. “No way…”
He looked up at her, looking a little embarrassed. “What’s your name?”
“Gin? Oh, we don’t serve that here—“
“Oh, no, I meant,” She pointed to Shoulders.
“Oh, sorry. What can I get you?” Song quickly turned her attention to him.
He was smiling, looking a little embarrassed as he showed her his bare wrists. “I’ll take you.”
She blinked in surprise, a thrill going through her, then she smiled a little bit. “Sorry, I work until close. You might have to wait until another day.” She shrugged in a flirty way (a habit to get better tips), and headed back toward the kitchen to place their order.
She blushed even more. “You stand out pretty well, too.”
“My handsome face?” He joked.
She shrugged. “Actually your shoulders. I’ve got a thing for broad shoulders.” She realized what she was saying about the moment she finished saying it, and then blushed furiously. Damn her and her big mouth.
He covered his mouth, embarrassed, bashful, but still grinning.
“Song, you can go if you like. Just remember to clock out and pick up your tips.” Lola gently touched Song’s shoulder.
Song grinned up at her friend. “Thanks, Lola. I’ll meet you by the door?” She asked Jin.
He nodded, still grinning.
J-Hope was suddenly in front of her. “What’s your other job?”
Lola hesitated. She worked under a pseudonym so she generally didn’t talk about her other job, but she felt compelled to answer at least partially. “I work for Siren Records. I do translations and subtitles. Sometimes I have to sit in on meetings with their Korean associates, and sometimes I also have to hold auditions.” Lola shrugged, hoping that would be the end. She ran a hand through her hair, feeling a little awkward. Why did where she worked matter? She wasn’t allowed to talk about the other aspects of her job for her own protection.
“You work in the music industry?” He asked, looking a little surprised.
She nodded, not wanting to delve much further into it. She was tired. She wanted to go home.
“Oh yeah, she’s an amazing composer,” Song said, only hearing his question. “Her family is crazy about music.”
Lola silently cursed her forgetful friend, and closed her eyes. “Do you want me to give you more work?”
