Jaune: *eating and Orange* You know, I always wondered what came first; the Fruit or the Color.
Ren: The Tree.
Jaune: Huh?
Ren: It's the Fruit of Orange Trees. Eventually people started calling them "Oranges" as a shorthand, and the name stuck. After that, people started comparing "Red-Yellow" Objects that shared a color with the Fruit of the Orange Tree, and Voila.
Jaune: Huh. neat.
Nora: Not only that, But Orange is one of the youngest "colors" Talked about - Which is why Redheads like myself are called Redheads! The term for the hair came before the name for the color!
Pyrrha: The etymology of colors is really quite interesting! All languages start with White and Black or, synonymously, Dark and Light, then Red, Green and/or Yellow both following each other, and finally, Blue! Blue is, in fact, so recent that a far amount of historical writings don't have the word, so in place of calling the Ocean or Seas Blue, they would be called something like "Wine-Dark!"
