John

What is/was his relationship with his father like?John’s relationship with his dad was… OK. His parents were divorced and his dad travelled A Lot, so they never got to be particularly close. When they got to spend time together John generally enjoyed it, but the more he grew up the more his dad started to feel like a stranger. A stranger who wasn’t extremely invested in his relationship with his son, tbh. It’s a big contrast when you compare that distant relationship with the loving one he has with his mom! He never hated his father or anything, but they never really got to know each other all that well. In the end, his dad isn’t exactly a bad person… but he never wanted to have a kid in the first place, and once John realizes that there’s a definite turning point in their relationship. They stopped seeing each other by the time John was in his late teens, and that’s okay. They don’t miss each other.

On an average day, what can be found in his pockets?A lighter and a cigar/pack of cigarettes (depending on how he feels like that day), a pen and some paperclips. Maybe a gum wrapper or two. A fuckton of change for the coffee machine. On rare occasions his reading glasses… although that is the Worst Idea and he really shouldn’t do it.

James

Has he ever fired a gun? If so, what was his first target?Do waterguns count? Because otherwise no, at least not outside of videogames! (he is… Not Good at shooting games. He hits walls more than anything else.) He loved playing outside during summer, and watergun fights were always lots of fun to him. His first target was his dad. :P

Does he feel more comfortable with more clothing, or with less clothing?Considering how warmth and cold barely affect him, James sees pretty much entirely as fashion statements and little else! More clothing is nice because he likes wearing stuff that’s aesthetically pleasing… but it also has the advantage of making his almost complete lack of body warmth a lot less obvious to anyone who might touch him. (there’s a reason he insists on always showering before sex. He needs it to warm up!) Also with the right clothes he looks slightly less shaped like a twig, so, that’s nice? He doesn’t like having to bundle up for winter though, that’s just annoying especially considering he doesn’t even really needs it!

In what ways does he compare himself to others? Does he do this for the sake of self-validation, or self-criticism?That one’s kinda tricky for James… He can’t exactly compare himself to humans when it comes to moral standards and behavior, but he tries so hard. He desperately wants to be a good person, and unfortunately he doesn’t see himself as such. Comparing himself to other vampires is both a reassurance and warning… He can at least tell himself that even though he might not be great, at least he isn’t like them. At the same time, he is very much aware that he could be like them if he stopped being careful. So when he compares himself to them, it’s both for validation and self-criticism.He compares himself to Mira a lot simply because he admires her so much; he wishes he could be as effortlessly cool as she is most of the time! He also values her opinion a lot when it comes to himself; the fact that she generally trusts him is a huge confidence boost that he desperately needs.Considering how most non-humans who aren’t vampires treat him like shit, he tries to just not think about them too much. Deep down, he wishes he could be more like them, instead of being a vampire… and that says a lot about his self-esteem tbh. Self-introspection is Not his thing.

Mira

What does she find repulsive or disgusting?Any jerkass who thinks it’s even remotely okay to hit on her and be ungodly obnoxious and lewd just because she is smaller than him and happens to be a woman. It happens A Lot and she is furious every single time. She has kicked asses for far less than this. She is very protective of other women in public spaces too!

Describe a scenario in which she feels most uncomfortable.She doesn’t remember much about her past as a human, and from time to time she’ll get very small glimpses of it. It always freaks her out, and she hates how she feels super confused afterwards. No matter how hard she tries she can never remember anything on purpose, so having those flashes randomly happen when she doesn’t expect them always freaks her out. They aren’t exactly visions; more like impressions and feelings that suddenly eclipse everything else for just a few seconds. Having that shit happen to her unexpectedly and having no control over it is scary as hell. It has happened while she was in public before, and she was extremely grateful that James was there to help her calm down. She’s very embarassed and relutant to talk about it, but it’s okay; James doesn’t expect her to explain if she doesn’t want to.

Omg, I didnt'see this ask yesterday! I’m not good at this, but I will try! XD So, Langly: 5. Guilty pleasures- Watching musicals with Byers- Stealing stuff from hotel rooms, especially shampoo bottles and shower caps 

8. Bad memories/experiences- When his mom passed away (he was 12)- When he tried to milk a cow and didn’t see that she wasn’t propery tied. The animal got scared and almost tremple on him.

9. Humiliating memories- It was Halloween and Langly was 16. Considering himself too old for trick-or-treating, he decided to spend the afternoon in a park, smoking weed with his misfit friends from high school. He got so stoned that didn’t know how he came back home. The only thing he remembered was his (pissed off) father finding him lying down on the kitchen floor, laughing his ass off, and eating a bowl of candy corn like if it was cereal.  - His first kiss with a girl was in a party, playing spin the bottle. The girl was way more experienced than him and went straight to tongue. He tried to go along with it, but he ended up licking her cheek. 

15. What it takes to make them cryAlmost everything (as you know, he’s D E L I C A T E). The most common physical reasons are: -  when he is tired (sleep deprivation is the worst for him)-  when he is cold-  when he is hungry

Though, I think Langly has an artistic and sensible side that usually he hides under his agressive punk persona. So when it’s an emotional cry, he cries over:- injustice (more like angry crying)- TV shows, books, comic books, movies… any cultural material really, especially music – everytime he goes to a museum or a concert Byers and Frohike prepare themselves to drown in floods of tears.
