sorry if you or someone else has answerd this already but, like, what exactly does a spark bond do? LIke after two or more bots spark merge how precisely does that function and what effect does it have on the bots? Like I know its pretty much permanent until death but what does it do in, like, the day to day?

Everyone has different headcanons for it

Me personally, i headcanon spark merging as a permanent thing yes but there is spark wisps that can be used to slowly build a connection or eventually fade out within a few hundred to a few thousand years. Its the safest one to play with but even that isn’t really recommended.

A total spark merge is exchanging life energon and that creates a permanent connection, mental, emotional & physical.

It can also create a new life/spark

So we've talked about mechpreg mechanics and even about, like, conjunx divorce? (I feel like they wouldn't call it divorce but something else but I have no ideas for that) And that combined with sparkmerging combined with the pinned post on the blog concerning Roddy and his two throuple options has made me wonder...

How does multi bot sparkmerging work?

Like, if Roddy wanted to join in on Drift and Ratchets relationship would he have to sparkmerge with both or only one?

Or a better way to put it, is spark merging mutually exclusive to the bots who take part in it in, like, a web of bonds? Or are all sparkmerged bots have their connections sorta fused?

Like if not A and B were together and spark merged, but then broke up and B sparkmerged with C, would that result in A and C getting sorta magically linked without directly sparkmerging?

I guess Im just kinda curious since there's been a number of 3+way relationships on here.

The bot they spark merge with would act as a connector.

Rodimus would link them all and they would have bonds but should rodimus die or severe any of them, the others will be hurt but still live. Their spark will show a dark spot, indicating they lost a spark partner, their conjunx or amica.

They won’t die but the damage will show.

They call it severing. Thats what their divorce is.

Recent posts makes me wonder what Cybertronian divorce court is like. Especially since, given how much cultural weight is put on conjunxing and how permanent sparkmerging is, I don't imagine it happens that often.

Probably treated as something as a social taboo to talk about tbh. Which is a nice way of saying the gossips talk about it constantly. It's like blood in the water.

Its only acceptable when they find out abuse has happened. Like extreme abuse. Even then its…taboo.

Considering different types of interfacing I often think of spark merging as the most logical one

And my favourite part about it is the fact that interfacing poses would pretty much look like hugging

Mechs can still go hard and press their partner against the wall or to themselves, move back and forth to break and create connection between sparks again and again, stimulate each other with some sort of massages and touches... also like to think that kissing or holding hands helps to create strong electric chains that are probably pleasant as hell and just

My apologies, Sir. It was a strange question. I have recently spark merged with someone and I feel... strange. My spark itches? And I keep getting intrusive thoughts and sensations. Just wondered if it was a side-effect and it sounds like it is. We decided to without learning about it first or anything. Does this mean it's as binding as a conjunx ritus?

I have not spark merged with anyone. I have heard that it makes us vulnerable – during the war, an enemy could have tortured or even killed someone by capturing and then hurting the one whom they merged their spark with. Stupidly dangerous thing to do during a war. Never make yourself vulnerable to your enemies.

As to your question, try consulting with a medic that specialises in the spark.
