My latest game I ran was a solo Changeling the Dreaming one-shot for my boyfriend. Here are portraits of NPCs with fun facts for each one, cause I don't have enough brain capacity to write detailed lore.

Bram, Ananasi (or werespider in simple terms)

• Arachnid, meaning he was born a spider (australian black widow, in particular)

• Now lives mostly in human society as a way to get away from all the cannibalism

• Is scared of birds

Gerda, human

• Einarr's sister (see below), when he disappeared thought he was stolen by fae, turns out, she was right (but there's more)

• DnD fan, invited everyone to her campaign in the end of one-shot

• Almost died in Dreaming, but PC saved her

Orgeto, Daunthain sluagh

• Killed PC in one of his previous lives, when she was still just a sluagh (and an assassin on local sidhe's side)

• Has a Black Shuck chimera still loyal to her, even now

• Has a lot of bad blood with local sidhe (and their troll, by proxy) – I mean, they turned her Daunthain... Got her revenge in the end, lives happily now, don't worry for my girl

Dracoris, troll

• A knight loyal to Leonora, local sidhe

• Dragon-tamer. Trained a dragon for Leonora (see below) to solidify her tyranny with this weapon of mass destruction

• PC stole some bakery from his house lmao

• Got killed by Orgeto in the end

Fainche, pooka

• Raven pooka

• Actually vibes with Coraxes (wereravens) in Tower of London. They realise she's not one of theirs, but are pretty chill about it

• Loves golden trinkets, to dismay of her found family of Coraxes (gold to them is like silver to werewolves)

Eloise, vampire Malkavian

• I played her in my boyfriend's VtM game, after which I decided to confess my feelings to him, so her addition here is a fanservice, honestly

• Knows she's inside a game. Breaks fourth wall about it.

• Fufilled her Malkavian role by appearing in front of PC in the cemetery, talking to his player and leaving some vague prophecy. And trying to bite the PC (she didn't succeed :( )

Biorn, wraith of Malkavian

• French

• Is two steps from becoming a Spectre

• LOVES emotional drama. It was the only reason he sided with bad guys, Dracoris and Leonora to be exact

Leonora, Arcadian sidhe

• Bad guy herself

• Wanted all the power to herself, so made a convoluted plan to kill Einarr, frame Orgeto and rule tyrannically

• Got destroyed when PC, an Unseelie satyr, memed too hard

Einarr, Autumn sidhe

• Gerda's brother and a damsel in distress

• Terrible ruler, but local changelings didn't have another for a long time

• Actually wants to be a rocker, not an aristocrat

• Was incarcerated by Leonora, starting the plot, got saved in the end, yay

Self-indulgent CtD post with guys from my previous CtD posts 😌

Starting with redcaps at WcDonalds. Yeah, they are being way too civil for redcaps having a snack. They're doing their best. Don't say redcaps can't be polite.

The most normal local Unseelie Court meeting. From left to right we have sluagh, redcap (the very same from prev picture) and a selkie. And on the bottom we have a rare case of Unseelie piskie, made even rarer by the fact that this is the first time he stands out in a crowd. Only because he was taken by surprise, give him a second and he'll adapt.

Oh, and Tisha is a sluagh who was in actual crime gangs in some of his past lives, so yeah. He's in the next picture too, in fact.

My otp among my changelings is these two. An autumn sidhe of house Liam and a redcap (the very same once again, yeah). Don't be surprised by this "noble x rebel" duo, both sidhe and redcap are on their way to overthrow local sidhe government :]

I've finally storytelled a one-shot for strangers (well, almost all of players were strangers) at my uni's ttrpg club! Very proud of myself and my players seemed satisfied with the game. One of them was very vocal about enjoying the system and another told me they'd like to attend more of my games which made me incredibly happy :D

It was a CtD game centered on finding changeling freshly out of Chrysalis before they mess things up on accident out of not understanding their own nature. Here are the NPCs portraits:

Yerofey, freshly out of Chrysalis sluagh. He was an underground doctor in his previous life. Which led to him crossing quite a few dangerous people. So one day Yerofey decided to pretend that he got killed in a fire, burned down his clinic and ran away, only to be found, not recognised as the doctor and being judged for... burning down the doctor he literally is. (And also for a sidhe murder he didn't do). And his punishment was execution. So yeah, he got killed for killing himself, which he didn't do. He haven't remembered all that at the beginning of one-shot and was terrified that players were the people who burned his clinic in his past life, but once he had figured out his own backstory he had a laugh of his life.

Next we have chimeras which were created during Yerofey's Chrysalis. The first one was actually the clue which led players towards Yerofey's location, and the second one was the protector of Yerofey's trod and place in the Dreaming.

Rada, marten pooka. She's a changeling type of poacher, capturing chimera and making stuff out of them. She got in town to capture new chimera born out of Yerofey's Chrysalis, but my players captured her first... I guess now she'll be brought to justice. I don't have much to say, for some reason my players decided to go completely violent on every pooka they met, so the pookas couldn't do much 😭

Antonida, former selkie. She have passed her seal skin down to her grandson and is now living simply as a granny selling shitty books in the local flea market. She still remembers about changelings and the Dreaming though, and she reluctantly aided players when she learned of their mission by telling them that some young man asked her for the lighter. That of course being Yerofey, searching for a treasure by which his trod opens. Antonida was reluctant to help since she thought Yerofey is a reincarnation of the arsonist (which he is, technically) and not the doctor, and she assumed players are there to hunt him down for his past life's crimes. But as I said, after some convincing she helped.

Oh, the next two... Let's start with Voislav, redcap and the last patient of Yerofey's clinic before it burned down. He's a killer of a sidhe tyrant (which happened during Accordance war), whose death was later blamed on Yerofey. Voislav got hurt fighting that sidhe, so he went to Yerofey and there he warned him that people don't like his underground doctor business and retribution for all the good Yerofey did is probably coming. Which led to Yerofey giving Voislav his lighter to keep it safe until his return (since it's the only way to open his trod) and faking his death. Voislav didn't know it was all fake and he blamed himself pretty hard for the doctor's supposed demise. Which is why he treasured the lighter up to modern days and was absolutely pissed when in someone stole it in the flea market... That someone being freshly out of Chrysalis Yerofey, yeah. However, Yerofey run away the moment he did the deed, and Voislav blamed it on Yerofey's friend who was also there, Pasha.

Pasha in question. He's just a normal mortal boy who had known pre-Chrysalis Yerofey since first grade and got very worried when he started acting weirdly. My players convinced him Yerofey got indoctrinated into a cult (I mean, are they wrong, though?), which didn't ease Pasha's worries, but made him back off and finally telling where Yerofey supposedly went. Oh, and also Voislav dropped the charges, since players figured out who the lighter's thief was, too. So Pasha didn't get involved in any mess and suffered only from worrying about his friend. Which will definitely be resolved now that Yerofey finally understands what happened to him. So Pasha will be fine :]

Lastly, Colombina, pigeon pooka. She was sent by another freehold's sidhe to find a new changeling and take him to their freehold, but sadly she wasn't able to do much, since, once again, for some reason my players' reaction to seeing pookas was an instant "hunt" mode activated. So yeah. She just flew away from the whole mess :D

Two of my sluagh guys somewhere in their past lives, but I was too tired to design them properly :')

On the left we have Tycho (or Tisha as a nickname) and on the right we have Yerofey. You can learn more about Yerofey's lore here. But in short, Tisha spent the 90s in criminal gangs, and Yerofey spent them as an underground doctor, so this two definitely met despite living in different, albeit neighbouring, cities.

And let's not forget about High Tea. With Tisha being non-speaking and Yerofey being shy even for a sluagh and absent-minded most of the time, these too probably stick together during High Tea. And then they proceed to never meet and communicate with eachother outside of that. Which probably makes them besties by sluagh standards anyways :D
