TW VIOLENCE
Scott/Louis hating each other isn't a dynamic I thought I'd love, but here I am.
Yeah, yeah, Louis "fixing" Scott in one way or another is pretty sweet and cool, always a joy to see. BUT what if they're terrible together?
They run the coven as equals and both consider it their family (Scott is a little more accepting of the idea of the coven as a family under Louis's influence than in canon, and Louis is desperately clinging to that new family because he doesn't want to ever be alone again). And while Louis is trying to build some kind of order, to give everyone in the coven their specific roles, to teach everyone to operate together for thriving, Scott is constantly blowing shit up because he likes messing with Louis, likes making him angry. They fight about it constantly and so loudly that the castle walls shake and the fledglings hide in fear.
Oh, they hate each other so much.
They absolutely can't live without each other.
Louis can't bear to lose the family he's just found, and Scott needs someone he can comfortably lean on to regain his powers quickly after his six-hundred-year slumber.
They're good friends (sometimes), both elder vampires who are equals and understand what eternal life is all about.
They're codependent, stuck in toxic relationships, or something like that. They go through cycles of violence and reconciliation after cycles. They constantly compete to be a little more dominant and impose their own order on the coven. They hate each other. They love each other. They're completely crazy about each other.
and I'm about them.
Relationship status: Evil for each other millions dead
Theres Only One Bed ahhh trope but it's not spicy because they can't kiss about it or smth. They're not normal peoplevampires after all

prev yes I'm continuing the series!
Okay... I mayby drawn Elderfangs being Not Evil because, actually, their relationship isn't all hate and bloodshed. (surprisingly)
If you think it's weird that Louis's face is cropped. That's intentional. Because he's not the one who always disturbs the peace; it's Scott, mostly Scott. And my further yap will focus on Scott and his role in the dynamic, although Louis will be touched upon as well.
Spoiler: Scott cares for Louis and loves him even more than Louis loves Scott back, but neither of them knows it.
I've been writing love notes to you, written in bloody red on pieces of my heart but you still don't notice that I'm falling apart
I've been in the eye of the storm, the calm of the war, so bring it on I'm done being trapped. I'm a walking disaster, destroying everything in my path, & I'm looking right at you, I want you to feel my fuckin wrath.
