So I finally got around to completing a prompt in Frauke's server decided to do some digital stipple shading with Ruby's knife in a skull in hell.... My clicker finger aches, but I'm happy with the results.

bobby survives stabbing himself which kind of provides evidence to a theory i have which is that like. demons and angels are more fragile to angel/demon-killing weapons than humans are even though those weapons can kill humans. like when dean gets stabbed by an angel blade he's able to survive several minutes before dying, but cas dies instantly to a blade. i wonder if it maybe has to do with their connection to their vessel or something?
like cutting the connection with a weapon kills the cosmic being? or maybe its just that the human vessel needs Immediate medical treatment, but even then it's still strange how sturdy (for lack of a better term) humans are to angel blades while angels and demons die instantly.
Yeah, it seems like when the blades enter humans, the blade is just a blade. "A bad stab wound."
If an angel gets got in a vital area, it seems to be instantly fatal flare out. (There are some things, like getting stabbed in the heart, that would make humans bleed out pretty quick too, though.) I love how it seems to tap into what they are, flaming it out like some kind of catalyst to a "burning" chemical reaction.
This applies to Nick too. Yeah, he gets a pretty grievous stab wounds, but he didn't die.
Side note: It’s neat* that Jack is holding something of a "parallel" wound as he watches his OWN grace flare out of his father.

I think the script said that too somewhere, but it's pretty hilarious that Sam views it as harmless...
...when I think it might be more likely that Nick barely survived.

NOTE: I'm guessing Cas pretty much took off right away/hasn't even been home because otherwise, he'd probably have healed Nick.
Human are weak in so may ways... Thank god cosmic weapons are often the built-in cosmic cheat equivalent of kneeing a dude in the jewels. <3
