🤨So I'm not one to back down from a challenge..... 1,000 air squats for time?! Why not?? ▫️ 🤯 Not gonna lie.....The mental game with this one was tough! 1,000 air squats for time is hard but in a 7kg vest?! Yowzahhhh!!!!😣 ▫️ 👀 So 1st vid - I'm excited listening to an absolutely fire mix by @zakk_wild. I wish social media would let me have the sound on my vids without copyright infringement bullshit because it was 🔥🔊🎧🎛🎶🔥 I mean look at me, I'm almost eager....ha! ▫️ 3️⃣2️⃣1️⃣🔔 And I'm off, 2nd video - so the game plan was aim for 23-25 reps per min for as long as possible, knowing I'd drop off the pace as I fatigued. I needed to get done in less than 60min (yes I'd time capped myself🤷♀️ so what?!) As I was starting work in 75min. ▫️ 🥵 Last vid - by this point I'd been squatting for 50min, my pace dropped right down to 12 reps per min, the fatigue and lactic acid buildup was real. My poor quads and glutes were on fire, I couldn't feel my knees and all I could think about was forcing knees out and keep moving. If I had stopped for more than a few seconds at this point, it would have been game over ▫️ 🦵🍑🔥 Got it done, 56:41min, averaged 17.5 reps per minute which ain't too bad in a vest I guess. Really looking forward to the DOMs off this one now!
