My machine is in time out. She snapped my thread and then got it lodged up inside and uhg.

The (log cabin? I heard it called that from the vid I followed but then I seen way diff layout for a log cabin so idk) one on the right is the very first piecing I did. Cut 1.5" strips and just winged it. Did up the half square triangle patch earlier. It's a lil off in the middle but I actually ripped out the initial seem, surprisingly lol, but it was way too off. I'm very pleased with it.

I went to go quilt my other potholder and my machine is making like super long stitches? Unevenly. So like the threads aren't catching each other/twisting underneath. I tried going slow but it was still bad. And then my thread snapped and got stuck in my machine so I'm done for today. I got it out no problem thankfully. I've had this machine for 20 years but it's only really now getting used so there's still a lot of learning about maintenance. I even changed the needle earlier! Like wtf is my thread doin

It's coats and Clark from Walmart, but the michaels has mostly that too. I'm going to try the gutermann just bc its available, not going to bother with the "professional quality" coats n Clark like why not just make it all good. And I need it to be cotton bc potholders. It's already grey I don't care about the colour this is so silly. And I have the walking foot on?? It wasn't doing this earlier with it nor without it when I quilted last time. I can already see how much more even the top is....despite those funky stitches. They're all coming out.

I'll look up later what's happening with the stitches, unless anyone had any ideas. I had just re threaded my bobbin and obviously have to do the top now but I'm going to start fresh another day and see how it goes. My machines manual is so vague. Idk if my bobbin is the right way? Is there a wrong way? I think I've had it both and didn't notice.

I'm trying to not be disappointed i have to stop but if I keep going imma get mad

I love love LOVE Shen Jiu. But i hate his relationship with Qi-Ge. It always strikes me the Qi-Ge loves the person Shen Jiu used to be but not the person he is. They are very Jinx/Vi coded in that way.

So the question remains: Who is Shen Jius Ekko?

does anybody ever think about how sickly and weak shen yuan must have been to have died of food poisoning? like, the number of things he wouldent have been able to to growing up with such a weak immunity system and how, now that hes in a new, stronger body, he can do so many things he didnt think hed ever be able to do how stressed and overprotective his family must have been over him overbearing ?

like imagine, hes being offered something that he usually cant eat, around the first few years as shen qingqiu and his immidaite response is to decline but then he remembers he can eat that now!

or like one day shen qingqiu catches a fever or sm and hes like "oh! a fever. did not miss this!!!" and drinks some tea and takes whatever xianxias version of painkillers is and proceeds not to tell anybody bc he forgot that him getting really sick is normal and to him. until hes talking to someone about something and he takes a cake (bc he forgot he should not be eating that) and he starts coughing really bad and everyones panicing and binghes about to kill someone bc he thinks someone poisoned his husband

(imagine shen qingqiu gets sick. not even that ill! a common cold and remembers white on white, blue clothing and pitying looks from people. not expecting to live past 20 years for how sickly he is and crying, and binghe just feeling so helpless because his husband is sitting there and suffering because of some trauma and he dosent know what to do)
