i have been thinking of possible deaths in the show and....... walk with me.
they're not killing core four. any of them. because they aren't. no ifs. period.
eleven? not in a million years. making byler canon AND killing eleven? that's like booking themselves a a place in a pillory.
hopper had already two fake deaths – not dying.
max? almost dead since 2022. probable but chances are rather low.
steve? trust me, it's a no. 1) "if u die i die" blabla yadda yadda. dustin's not dying so if they die together then he won't. 2) dustin doesn't have a father and relied on steve and eddie as his closest friends, his father-like figures of some kind. EDDIE IS DEAD, they won't deprive dustin of steve too !!! 3) last but most importantly, when finn was challenged to either spoil a death or eat a deadly wing in hot ones, he chose the wing, cursed everyone and angrily (joking) said "you know what?? dustin dies!!" and noah laughed.
that's it. that's my proof. if what finn said was real (unlikely of him to spoil too) then noah wouldve covered his mouth and gasped loudly. he just laughed. dustins not dying. so neither is steve. stop weeping.
the wheelers? i really dont think so, they wanted to scare the party rather than cause a lethal damage. holly though? well.
we can't be sure, for any of those 12 (twelve) kids. they might die when the party tries to save them, henry might kill them himself (very unlikely, since he's using them for reproductive purposes).
now that leaves us with: joyce, nancy, jonathan, robin, erica, murray, kali, vickie.
somehow i dont think vickie will die, bc in that case it wouldve been too obvious by the trailer. might make her join the party, or, put robin in danger.
nancy cannot lose someone else. she lost her best friend. her sister was kidnapped. her parents were wounded almost fatally. she can't lose her brother (and won't), or her boyfriend, or anyone else. she can lose her own life though........ -but she won't, right? right...? duffers........? right?-
kali and vickie? secondary characters.
murray, robin and erica? very much beloved characters but also not from the main group. now, don't come throwing fists at me, i didn't mean they're not important. THEY ARE. but more for... helping the hero through the journey, instead of being the hero, got it? still, i'd be vv sad cus i love them ofc
jonathan and nancy? no comments here. if any of them die my soul will die with them too. these two, either alone or together -specially together- have been my- idek how to call it, but the emotional attachment i've had with them since season 1? which i watched before season 2 was even released? otherworldly. thinking of possible deaths has got me genuinely worried because what if it's one of these two–
i might as well die myself.
joyce? why would she?????? also not impossible, just. crazy idea for them to kill HER. would've proved that hopper is a curse like he thinks. he's not. he can hold something, he can have his family. do not destroy the byers-hoppers, duffers, don't be assholes.
henry creel? totally dead. and if he's not, i'll find him and kill him myself. leave my kids alone you son of a bitch.
