(they work at a combined middle + high school)
Mr. Byers - Advanced Art teacher. He’s very sweet and hardly ever gets frustrated with the kids. The weird gay art kids like to eat in his classroom. His relationship with Mike isn’t exactly a secret, and even if it was it wouldn’t be hidden well because most of Will’s art is of him. He holds the GSA meetings in his room.
Mr. Wheeler - Middle School + High School Literature teacher. He’s controversial with the students; you either love him or hate him. Very passionate about writing. Works on his novel during class sometimes, the students like to give him really random ideas as jokes. When he writes examples during their poetry units, it’s very clearly about Will.
Mr. Sinclair/Coach Sinclair - PE teacher and basketball coach. He goes pretty easy on his PE students, but pushes the basketball players hard. They all really like him though, because he makes sure he knows what’s going on with their lives and does everything he can to support them. During his free periods he always visits the other classrooms to bother his friends.
Mr. Henderson - Physics + AP Physics teacher. Could probably be a college professor or work for NASA, but he prefers teaching teenagers. He’s one of those science teachers that you see videos of doing cool experiments in class. He also lets the D&D club use his classroom. He pretends to not be invested in their campaigns, but he definitely is. His classroom has a lot of Jane’s art in it.
Ms. Mayfield - School Counselor. She works there so she can share a commute with Lucas. When she’s not having serious discussions with students, she’s one of the coolest adults at the school. Her favorite students come to watch her at skateboarding competitions. She’s ruthless to parents that are mistreating their kids. Her and Mike always bicker in the hallways of the school.
Ms. Hopper - Beginning Art teacher. She learned a lot of what she knows from Will. She likes to hang out with the students who are learning English or have speech issues, because she understands what it’s like to not always be able to communicate. She and Max organize a lot of school events together.
