I just started a TNG rewatch (gonna watch TNG-PIC in timeline order) because I want to write a fic.

Do we know why Data is affected by the polywater virus? Does he have any organic/biological components? I'm especially curious considering PIC golems do.

I don't think this is ever addressed in-universe but I was curious about fan interpretations
