just sitting here in my room/car/kitchen/castle, procrastinating on work, pondering the meaning of life and the fact that some people genuinely believe they know or will ever know what's going on in Connor, Hudson and Francois' private lives because they like, watched some blurry video enough times, or "read their body language", or found a hidden meaning in a public statement they made, or figured out a pattern and the pr strategy in their public behavior, or just generally understand life and the universe on some deeper level and they see what we're all not seeing. i always keep you in my prayers, guys! 🙏🙌
no matter the fandom there’s one thing that remains true; twitter will always be the worst part of said fandom.
I’m so tired of the Rhaenyra’s sons lived so she won haha!
Yes and her baby boys lived very interesting lives. One of them spent his entire existence in grief and misery after the war that decimated his family but hey at least he won a crown though right because that’s what really matters. The other one enabled the batshit sons of his dead brother in trying to enslave a free kingdom and in locking up his nieces for being just too darn enticing.
After those two dropped he then went ahead and took that crown for himself effectively usurping his niece and Rhaenyra’s own granddaughter Daena the Defiant known for her very rightful claim to the throne and bastard son. Ironic isn’t it? But hey Viserys had no choice he was all but *forced* into it. Just like he was *forced* to wed his own daughter to his pathetic eldest son all but ensuring her misery. So much so she only got refuge in the oh so scary faith of the seven while her other psycho brother committed to being miserable with her and oh not saving her. After all that is said and done. Instead of trying to save their house the lines of Rhaenyra’s baby boys go to war all over again in Daemon Blackfyre & Daeron Targaryen but hey at least they got a spiky throne right? That’s what really matters!!! That’s the point nothing deeper 😭😭
I’m curious with your take on “Stans”. I joined the tomdaya fandom last January and I think the most shocking behavior and discovery I found were Stans. I’m in my late 20s and never really followed a celeb or couple before, so I never really crossed them on social. I found it almost strange and alarming at some of their behavior- or I just couldn’t relate to people creating fan accounts? Idk. I stopped following all fan accounts of TZ on Twitter, TikTok, and IG because of how uncomfortable they made me and only stick with tumblr as the community is very different and (IMO) healthier…
I’ve been following you since I joined tumblr and like that you also have interests outside of TZ and are exposed to different fans from different celebs. Do you have any opinions on the different variety of Stans (Harry Styles/Chris Evans level to TZ level)? Opinions on these “Stan wars”? Have you seen a difference in behavior from pre pandemic to post? Their overall behavior and psychology just fascinates and alarms me at the same time.
Ooo....I LOVE new/different types of questions and asks!
Anon, are you SURE you want my opinion on this?😅 Cuz I’m about to write you an essay, and it’s gonna be
REAL TALK lol.
You asked for it!
RE: Stans and Stan Behavior...
Whew, this is a tough question to answer tbh. Mainly because I have mixed feelings about this.
On one hand, I don’t think there’s anything necessarily wrong with being a stan of your favorite celebrity(ies), or anything wrong with having a blog or a fan account dedicated to your fave(s). I don’t see anything wrong with that at all?
I think the problem however comes when some stans go a little TOO far, get way too intrusive, engage in stan wars (when those actors/celebrities don’t even hate each other lol), or just become toxic overall in general in the fandom.
I always feel like there should be a clear balance when stanning celebrities. Like, it’s okay to be a massive fan, but also know your place, and realize that these “celebrities” are really just human beings just like the rest of us at the end of the day. They just have higher pay checks lol, and have to live life in the public eye. But at the end of the day, they put their pants on one leg at a time just like the rest of us.
we seeing this right
When celebrities like Harry Styles say the equivalent of “Oh you’re from Israel? Cool” it doesn’t mean that they approve of every single decision the Israeli government has ever made. Stop lumping in every Israeli person and all Israeli culture with its government. I see this happen to Israel more than any other country- why is that? Why did you never react similarly when anyone said “Oh cool, you’re from America” when Trump was president? Be mindful that Israel has the largest population of Jews in the world, and Jews are a tiny minority worldwide. It’s necessary to criticize Israel’s government, but leave the rest of Israel out of it. It comes off as antisemitic fo treat any mention of the only Jewish majority state in the world as an endorsement of its government when you don’t do that to any other country to the same extent
