say what you will about Helluva Boss. Say what you will about Vivziepop’s character design tastes and sensibilities (lord knows I have)— butFizzarolli’s character design is great. He’s poetry in motion.

-imps have naturally red skin, and scar white when they get injured

-Fizzarolli is a lifelong career circus performer-acrobat-little clown guy (I haven’t seen the show, but I have seen one point five youtube videos about it, which qualifies me to make this post)

-his character design incorporates a white face and a little red “nose”! Clown makeup! makes sense. EXCEPT:

-it’s revealed later in the show that when he was a little kid, he was caught in a terrible circus explosion that scarred his whole face except for where it was protected by a rubber clown nose

-adult Fizzarolli’s natural face is white with a blob of red right where a clown nose would be— he’s a clown whose real face looks exactly like clown makeup

I love this. It’s genius. He’s my favorite little guy from this whole show that I still haven’t watched.
